It's November 2016 and Rob takes a weekend trip away from the forest garden to the Trenčín area of Slovakia to revisit some of his old haunts and confuse many a barista with his odd version of Slovak.
Aww 🥰 what a charming and naive footage. Really enjoyed watching it. And yes, you should definitely revisit beautiful Slovakia, perhaps my birth town Skalica. And I also recommend few hikes in the formidable High Tatras. It’s a place of my annual pilgrimage. Your language skills are pretty impressive also ♥️🇸🇰
That was an interesting video Rob. Slovakia looks like a lovely old place. Interesting architecture and great soil for farming. I bet the coffee was the best.☕
Dobry Djen! My UK neighbour and best friend was from Kosice...I loved my travels with her and her family ;) it waa my first experience of slavic language and life ;)
I lived in a very similar neighborhood in Warsaw Poland, and very similar language too… anyways now you know how I used to live, but in Seattle since 1986
if you ever want to come to the Seattle area, let me know, I can host you so you save money on Hotels and go on adventures/lots of cool stuff in this State (Washington) to see@@robsdiscovery
It looks so cozy and beautiful there, like the inside of a snowglobe! I would love to visit there sometime 😊 I also loved the framed picture of the sheep in the cafe 5:08 🐑 💖
Yes! You get it! Just like the inside of a snow globe 🌨☃️☺️ Give me a call sometime and I'll tell you all about my adventures 📞🤗 You'd love it there. Especially all the traditional crafts that are still practiced. Some places there are similar to where you are! Very different, but similar 😆
Dear Rob, we usually watch yiur 'discovery' and been surprised to find your traveling in Slovakia (as we czech). We wonder if you find something interesting in the gardens in Slovakia? Katerina
Interesting! :) Can I ask, why did you live there? I’m from PL, but have many Slovak friends and have been to Slovakia this summer (Tatranska Lomnica). Very nice place :)
Such a calm town! Thanks for the video ❤

I used to speak it pretty well when I lived there back in 2009-2011. Not so much nowadays unfortunately, but I'd love to learn it again 😌
