OH, one other thing - - if you need water to your house and are unable get get the needed parts right away, just temporarily cap off the riser with a pipe plug after removing the head-rod-plug assembly.

A little silicon grease as well on the rubber plug is not a bad idea.

Thx for the video but the “ZIPBOLT” connecting bolt is easier to use because it tightens with a hex head driver, so you don’t have to fuss with getting the small nut onto the bolt after it’s in the hole or using a wrench to tighten it.

Good video. Some measures, cut depth and bit sizes would make it great.

What length screws do you use on the 3/4 thick face frame, 1 1/4 fine thread. Ray or 1 1/2 fine thread.

Would not recommend taking a torch to the head of the hydrants. They are cast iron and could split easily.

If only a minor leak, then maybe only need to simply adjust the hydrant's plunger by adjusting the set-screw on the handle as shown in this other helpful CZcams video: czcams.com/video/IhCWaIEAj5g/video.html

Does the clayton mark plunger fit all models of clayton mark hydrants

Would have been great if you would have actually described or showed what you did to adjust the throw of the valve. At this point, I know to remove the head and replace the rubber... But nothing about how to adjust the valve, which (to my mind) in the crux of the issue...

Why so many coffers? Looks way to busy. Try using 10" I-joists and furring in the top cleat for a nailer. Way faster and easier.
