QUESTION: If I use treated wood do I have to use a sealer afterwards?? also, can I paint it and still have to seal from water???
the footers just sit on top of the concrete piers?
Those Bearer to pile connections are wrong. . You are using 2x12 timbers, thats allot of weight. The bearers should be notched into the piles, then have 2 bolts running through the lot. This deck will sag possibly fail completely.
Should be renamed to "Roy's How Not To". I hope no one was injured while using this deck.
