GREAT VID THANK YOU , we need a LOT more like it. Bulky metal gun safes are an advertisement and an invitation for trouble. Yes this cabinet has draw backs and yes it does not fit the needs of all, but the more designers and people like you concentrate on this issue the more ingenious the simple hideouts will become. 30 years ago I built a small similar but more complicated hideout. It has efficiently kept my most prized handguns safe all these years.
This is bad ass. Kind of reminds me of T2 where Arnold pulls the rope in the sand reveiling a gun room under the desert. How bad ass. All ur missing is a mini gun. :D It would be sick to have a room like that (in the wall) but be an actual room size.
I could tell a little. Idk if it was the light on the camera against the wall or what, but those 6 pieces looked slightly lighter than the rest of the wall. Maybe stain it just a hair to even out the color everywhere. Awesome job though man.
Wow probably the best looking hidden compartment for guns and damn does it look flush very nice maybe I can do that I have a few old cabinets I can use for parts. I need to hide my guns for a few reasons and I was getting sick of the put them in a vent guys great video btw
You may need to stain them ever so slightly. You know the old cartoons where when something is about to move it was colored in lighter in each scene? That's exactly what the two doors looked like. I spotted them based on the color difference...
Is it just me, or does the finish look different? If I suspected there might be a secret int he room, the tone of finishes would be something I looked at, as well as any and all seemwork.
love it. that's just what I was looking for. the average meth head thief in my area isn't going to take the time to be looking for hidden walls. maybe derek has super smart ones in his neck of the woods. thank for the ideal.
I'll bet a fire can find it along with everything in it. Some of my guns belonged to my Father and my Grandfather. Insurance can't replace those guns. Take this silly mess off the net, please before some poor soul believes this is a good idea.
Great job ..... remodeling right now and have been looking for ideas and I really like the one you did thanks for sharing .

nice work, thanks for sharing
Very cool. I'll have to build something similar to this. Great job.
Great job!
what happens if someone leans in on the doors?
What is the wood you used ? is it a fancy ply with routed lines ?
i could tell in the video where they were, they stick out plain as day
, the seams showed.
Hidden in a hidden cabinet within that hidden cabinet.
Thnks for telling where they are, where did you say you lived, lol
Very cool. But how do you lock?
Nice!
I see what you mean. I didn't notice it till you pointed it out. Good eye!
you need to hang some pictures or decorations on the doors.
I could tell a little. Idk if it was the light on the camera against the wall or what, but those 6 pieces looked slightly lighter than the rest of the wall. Maybe stain it just a hair to even out the color everywhere. Awesome job though man.
Cool and effective I want to make that along w a panic room

Add towel hooks or some sort of shelf

Did I see a hinge on the left side?
They can wonder all they want. They'd have to get a search warrant to find out.
So you paint the inside of the wall, behind the sheetrock, with lead-based paint.
+thesideboobgodfather that's some scooby doo stuff right there!
Good idea, how would you put a lock on it (that is hidden) so that if someone trips into it, they don't accidently open.
you need a safety on that.
I meant color sorry for the typing error.
sweet ....now i know exactly where o go.

I advise a painting that locks the doors. It takes car of people leaning, and locks the gun from the kiddies/burglars/visitors.
I bought plans from woodprix and I made it very fast.
I would be more worried about Jody finding this spot than theives.
woodprix is full of awesome tips. Very helpful to me.
I need one of those only larger so I can hide in it when the wife is mad at me.
well it's not so hidden anymore...
Someone stole all his guns haha
thanks for he tip - holder-

was I the only one to notice the doors are a different collor?
Woah, I can keep my AK's inside :3
Hmmm... I finally followed Ann's advice and took woodprix plans. It's great for beginners and has some advanced stuff too.
Click-click....Ooooo :)
I thought the point of a hidden gun cabinet was so nobody knew where you kept your guns????
Thieves are in a hurry and will overlook this. If it's too much work and effort your common criminal will not detect this.

Paranoid much?
