Unfortunately Hu Ge is not in Nirvana in Fire 3 ….. again

After watching Love Like the Galaxy, it is hard to find anything as good as. Everything else looks cheap and half-baked. The Double is way too long for me. It drags on and on and I don’t see the chemistry between the fl and ml. I think viewers are so desperate to always see the ml and fl have chemistry even if there isn’t any or very little.

My summer has been busy. Kicked off with Hidden Love, then Amidst the Snow Storm, Rewatched Love Like a Galaxy, then Story of Kunning Palace, then the Double, now watching Princess Royal. Also started as Beautiful as you. Enjoyed and Enjoying them all. ❤❤❤

Just finished The Double (one of the best so far this year), but disappointed IQIYI didn't offer alt ending. Also just finished The Midnight Romance in Hagwon; a great modern drama I haven't seen discussed much. Now following As Beautiful As You; this is a good one too.

I find Princess Royal really draggy. The plot is just plain boring. As Beautiful as You, although the plot is not new is so refreshing compared to the former.

As Beautiful As You is pretty good. I've stopped the Angel Zhao Princess Royal one, it was getting more and more boring. And the stars have little chemistry. Hard slog, not much pay off and keeps rehashing the past. The original premise of how the story starts where she had him killed in their past life was dubious already.

Only interested in the Bai Lu drama of all the ones that recently passed ... hope it comes out before the end of the summer, but it's more likely to get put into the 4th quarter rotation, I guess ... Wow .. .that picture with Edward Guo illustates how tall Peng Xiaoran really is! Of course Li Hongyi looks gorgeous in those costumes lol ... hopefully the drama will turn out well... I've found him a bit hit and miss, dramawise. Amazing that The Tale of Rose is still top... I expect As Beautiful as You will pass it next week, though ... And not surprised about Princess Royal ... despite a lot of downtalk and naysaying on the 'nets, it's turning out to be an intriguing and enjoyable drama. These palace intrigue quasi-historical dramas are not really my cup of tea, but the leads are doing a good job of keeping the characters interesting.

Marcus, the celebrity titbits are really eye-opening! The pressure & demands on the actors obviously do not stop once the productions wrap up .... the promo sessions then kick in. No demand or question is considered too embarrassing. I do feel that actors are simply not afforded enough "genuine human respect & dignity" by the media or their so called "fans". Too many obviously equate being an actor to being a born "exhibitionist" in the worse sense of the term 😞
