She's totally deserve it, the way she portrayed Wen Xiao Liu and Xiao Yao are great, and Lost You Forever is one of my fav drama not only of 2023, but of all time, love how detail and multi dimensions the drama was 💐

It's so weird for people just showing up in front of an actor/actress or idol unannounced, in the wee hours, and expect to be welcomed with open arms.
And then be told he disappointed the person LOL. What was he expecting?!
I have seen many of these videos on Weibo,the stars just come to them , take the gift cards and just walk away, the location was very far away so he get worried ab them ; I guess some fans take a chance when the star is in their area and want to meet them , but it gets very tiring for the actors to keep doing this

I have not watched the donghua yet but now I am excited to watch. Simon Gong is such a good actor so while watching it I'll picture him as the main character. After all when I watched "Douluo Dalu" I could picture Xiao Zhan as the lead and I was right. He was tremendous in the role. :)
People need to stop trying to cancel people. People need to stop interfering in their idols' lives. It is getting to be crazy out there. How can you say someone stole a role when it is truly the decisions of people who are working behind the camera. I am sorry the other actress does not play that character anymore. I am sorry that the director and his team thought that Gina Jin would fit the role better than the former. Maybe the character will change in the next season. Maybe the former actress had prior commitments she needed to take care of first. To say someone is "snatching" a role from someone else is silly. Come on. I am sure that the director has a vision he wants to flesh out. Perhaps the character takes on characteristics that the former actress doesn't perform as well. The new actress assumes the role along with her team. She decides to accept or decline. Fans don't make the decisions about that, only the directors and his team and possibly if available the author of the book, the creator of the anime, or the originator of the story does. Sometimes the director pictures the actor for the role and approaches them first. I know that happens a lot in Hollywood. We only say if we like what we see or if we don't. We buy their merch or we don't. We tell others or we don't. Otherwise, stop fussing over things out of your control and watch good television and movies.
I am grateful that China shares their stories with us. I really wish they would share more merch though. I'd love to have some dvd's I can watch anytime I wanted. I'd love to show to the world that I love watching all my favorite dramas wearing their tee-shirts or supporting them in some way. I'd love to pop in a cd from one of my favorite Chinese actors or even my favorite Chinese pop groups. I live with the hope that maybe one day they will.
Lastly, when someone takes time to look after your well-being even while they are busy with work, BE GRATEFUL. Not HATEFUL. A fan said "I am disappointed in you" To that "fan" I say "NO, I am disappointed in YOU." Wallace Huo took the time out of his BUSY schedule to make sure you were safe because he knew the dangers that his fans might face. His fans in a frenzy don't think about their own safety. They just seek getting closer to the star. Talk to him, get a picture....I've seen it SO many times in airports and other places....they swarm these idols like a tidal wave. They accuse security guards who are meant to protect the idols of crazed fans as being too aggressive and pushy. To them I say "eh too???" Who is the one being the aggressor? If you remained in the spot you were at and took pictures from there. Yet they are worse than bulls running for their lives " I have seen multiple times fans pushing other fans out of the way, practically running them over to get to their idol for what...a quick probably blurry picture? To say you have proof you were part of the melee that day? To show off to your friends that you got a picture with so and so while they were walking to their vehicle. Did they stop and smile, wave at you? Wait for you to take their picture? Knowing this about Wallace Huo makes me even more of a fan because the guy took the time to show he cares about his fans well-being. He wants them to spend their money and time wisely. Kindness is something that is not always shared in this world. So when it is given accept it as being good and then share that same level of kindness with others.

I really like Gong Jun, I believe he fits his current role as Dongfang Yuechu, I also liked him in Word of Honor, there is room for improvement but he is a good actor and can improve. He will improve studying and working to acquire experience. Yang Zi being a nominee is really good news, I hope she gets it. I'm enjoying Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red Moon Pact, it was a bit slow at the beginning but it got its pace, Im really looking forward to the third chapter with Cheng Yi which is my one of my favorite actor along with Xio Zhan and I also really like TJC, I hope he has more opportunities in the future. While I like Gina Jin as an actress, her filling in the role of Ling’er was the only replacement that had me 😖. The supposedly funny scene of her polishing the axe fell absolutely flat. Her subsequent scenes just were too far removed from the original role. Like the guy that replaced Xiao Zhan had me pausing for a second, but I grew to like him - he carried forward the attitude and general feel of the character. Gina did not. She’s soft where she should be fiery and doesn’t have the onscreen confidence her character displayed in all but one necessary scene in Season 1.

Isn't peng xiaoran shooting a costume drama at the moment? If she starts another one on 13th, there is no time to rest. I think actors should have a considerable amount of time gap between two projects in order to come out of the last character and prepare for the next character.
I understand your point, but this is good for Peng Xiaoran. She needs this main Female lead role.

Hi Marcus. I want to share my thought about JOL 2. Episode 1-5 not to excited (I felt it too on season 1). From ep 8-9 start to real battle (mind, emotion, tactics). Until ep 16-17, IMO still better season 1. Reason: 1. Season 1 they just made it “nothing to lose”, but season 2 they burdened by highly expectations from viewers. 2. In season 1 we can’t predict who the real villain until ending but now in the season 2 we just got main lead vs villain push each other. But I don’t know if it will be another villain will appear 😅. Zhang ruo yun still really good portrayed fan xian. I will share my opinion again after ep 27-28. Thanks for your updates and have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!

@@Skinwithliliansure, but last episodes are hellishly translated in subtitles from Duboku so if you need them, rather go to Viki, which has much much better subs. If you can do without subs then it is OK to watch without them until end there.
Although last 4 episodes did not cut away all the very annoying ads for supermarket and yogurt. Ads can be disregarded or taken in stride as fun aside, after all TV series are by definition soap operas, but there, they were frankly annoying.
I also have a strong disappointment with those end episodes after the "surgery". Despite I did not read the novel, it's evident that the Jiangnan arc was chopped up so much that it broke rhythm and felt rushed to last 20 mins confrontation with a grandmaster and FX recovering his qi to announce with a satisfied superhero smile: I'm back.... In future S3 of course.
I felt they would have done better cutting off at the surgery, and leaving us to wonder again how Our hero survives from his brushes with knives and blades. But the last minute quip was impishly fun.

Let's Go Eat is a remake from Korean drama Let's Eat in 2013. Main leads are Lee Soo Kyung and Yoon Doo Joon. It was a great drama.

Gina jins plastic surgery is so drastic. She looked very different back in wu xin the monster killer with elvis han. She was yueya, innocent and homebody looking, with a rounder face. She doesn't look bad now but the it's a dramatic change

Thanks Marcus, your hard work is much appreciated! I'd just say that Magnolia nomination for WoF really is problematic. War of Faith's lead male actor was always Wang Yibo, for all the promotions he was the lead actor but when it came to awards, he was so easily sidelined. That is quite problematic.

Let's Go Eat sounds a lot like a kdrama of the same or similar name. I think ill give it a shot. You can't go to far off course in 10 episodes. Though honestly i cant see netizens being interested any a slmodern drama without a CEO in it. JK😊

I just wish the female lead wouldn't keep pushing away the male lead no matter how honorable her reasons are... It's a good thing for her that the male lead never gives up on her, and only has her in his heart. I feel bad for the male lead. He's literally all alone.

Maybe wallace Huo had good intentions, but lecturing like that to someone who goes through fire and water to meet them is downright insulting. In my opinion, he could've been tactful(in case he felt responsible for their actions). But Actors are not 'gods' to go and tell people what 'they should do'. Also, do they practice what they preach?
Nobody's entitled a warm welcome if they are stalking, a celebrity or not.

If he wanted to give them advice, he could've used a tactful and friendlier approach to convey his message. After all, these actors are popular because of their fans. N. B: In certain countries(especially in mine), everyone has this culture of perceiving that everyone is entitled to a warm welcome (irrespective of identity or purpose).

@@devidevatha Yes, but actors are people too... and if he was tired after a day of filming, and they showed up in the middle of the night, I could see how that could end badly for everyone involved. And if the fans were over 15, they should have been able to get how worried he was; however, I suspect they got "parent" vibes instead of "cool male god" vibes, which led to their reaction.

I am totally with you on The Long Season for the win but I think all the dramas up there are fantastic contenders.
Even though Wang Yibo noticeably elevated his acting in War of Faith and the story is told from his character's POV, Wang Yang delivered a far more polished performance and his character is the far more complex and interesting one that anchors the narrative. No one who actually watched and understood the show would think otherwise.
Finally who knows whether Gina Jin stole the role, the fact is she is mis-cast and delivered an awkward, pushover of a Ye Ling'er that is very difficult to root for.

I think Gina Jin is almost more offended by the accusation of theft than of misinterpreting the role. I can see where she's coming from; if she did a lousy job, that's on her, but at least that honest. It seems people behind screens are so quick to assign the worst possible motives to actors without looking for or providing any evidence.
Pshhh, Gina's comments makes me think back to Martial Universe. She got mad and cried wolf when the director decided to give the FL role to Zhang Tian Ai and not her when we know any changes can always happen preproduction before the drama actually gets filmed. Because she's the accused now, she knows how to use this reason too - "Oh, the JOL2 production chose me because I fit the character"...Ugh the hypocrisy stench is real!

Wallace Ho can lecture me anytime. LOL I was thrilled by "Love Me if You Dare". What a psychological thriller journey I went on. I had to take breaks because it was so disturbing. ha
I've been enjoying the heck out of JoL1, more than I did the first time. I am trying to have a 2nd drama that I watch for a break, but I haven't had any luck in liking anything. I do love going back to watch Ruoyun and his smirk and smile and all his facial expressions, however. I just like watching a costume and a modern for changes in genre.
Here are some of the dramas I've dropped, so I've run out of Modern dramas. "Rise From the Ashes", "Reblooming Blue", "Men in Love", and "My Divine Emissary" {no not a modern but I wanted to add that one to the list). So, I can't wait for a decently entertaining Modern drama.

I am currently watching it, Gong Jun acting is good and he is portraying his character greatly but I think fl is not doing great at showing certain emotions that are necessary even for stoic character.

Wang Yang's nomination was deserving. I enjoyed War of Faith and think its nomination was correct (beautifully produced). Although WYB's acting in the drama was good (he really improved in this role), Wang Yang is the better actor and his character was the glue that held the story together. A nomination shouldn't just be for the main character, but for an actor who did a great job!

Strongly disagree that Wang Yang's character was the glue. Wei Ruolai was hands down the central part of the show. The drama starts with him and ends with him. Yibo's acting was highly praised by film critics. I'm not much for billing but WY was billed 3rd and Wyb 1st ...

@@tashaonly I mentioned billing bc with all the promotional materials WRL was THE main lead character being promoted. He was the most integral part of WOF. I'm not saying Wang Yang's acting wasn't great. But I find it odd that Yibo's acting from the beginning episodes until the end was so highly praised and talked about by everyone - critics, passerbys, etc. And sorry but it wasn't the same heat towards WY... yet he was nominated for best Male Lead actor of WOF 🤔
Well, the thing here is that the category is BEST MALE LEAD. Wang Yang is NOT the male lead but second lead of WarOfFate no matter what. Many critics in the industry among fans and passerbys find this so wrong.
Oh please do not have simon gong and peng xiaoran as the cast of dark river. I loved the blood of youth and I will look forward to dark river. Simon gong is not such a good actor, he has nothing but good loooks and I don't care about them. I wish they get someone who is a better actor and looks similiar to the cast we saw in blood of youth or just have them star.
Tales of dark river better find other actors. Neither of those two can really act and they are boring to watch. It would destroy the drama.
