@9:48 Bendix is an American company. All drum brake systems in today's modern passenger vehicles are base on the 1950s Bendix design. In the U.S. Bendix is a tier 1 supplier and I've used brakes pads from them without issue.

I have noticed in a few of your videos that your only partially performing proper sensor and circuit diag as it seems you only check for 12v reference while using a common know ground which is good. The couple tests that are usually required is 12v reference while using the sensor circuit ground as pretty much everything is ground switched controlled and continuity of the ground circuit also.

2:15 "Shows how important it is to wear PPE". Goes ahead and works without wearing any PPE....

Lads, remember to get your torque wrenches calibrated every year. It's an expense and a hassle, yet it'll save you a massive headache if the customer have problems after your work.

2:10 - Imo 'copper grease' isn't ideal for metal / metal contact points. Copper will increase galvanisation corrosion on metal parts and the copper will destroy rubber seals. E.g. For caliper slide pins and the pads themselves, I'd use a silicon grease.

1st clip - I live just down the road from there. Did the brakes on my honda civic and remembered your comments about making sure the carrier and sliders are spotless. Got my wire brush drill attachment and happy days. Pads sliding in and out beautifully. Are you filipino? My wife is from Cebu.

Strange diagnostic workflow.. fuel ekhck, spark check. Why go into the weeds before the end points are tested? Too much work. Too much wasted time.

3 mechanics to do a timing belt,that won’t be cheap.

My old V70 2.5TDi timing belt was on the kerbside/Nearside/passenger side. 😂 Was really really easy to work on.

@2:14 the voltage regulator in the alternator are made-up of semiconductor logic gates. When powered-on and working the gates are either in an open or close position. When power is removed the gates can then fail in an open or close position thus causing a fault. This is the reason for the general recommendation of disconnecting the vehicle's battery for a period of time and or shorting the wires together in order to reset the logic gates whenever there is an unexplainable electronics fault.

Always use a torque wrench to refit wheel nuts or bolts never use a rattle gun.

Some poor mug will buy a car with a gearbox seal problem and they will not be told of the issues the car has, that IS a problem in my mind. You should not have continued with the clutch repair without replacing that seal. It would not be the first or last time that unforeseen issues are found.

There is no way that was done at main dealer! VAG techs trained better then that. You do get monkeys and cowboys at dealers but not that bad! Plus, even if it was main dealer, customer still has the right to complain and get it rectified with them. Even if that means complaining to head office. Plus, they also need to know they have someone who doesn't know what they're doing and give them the boot. That job was clearly done by someone who isn't even a mechanic and had no idea what they were doing.

Generally good work, and you're right about flushing the ABS pump. I would do some things differently though, 1. That brake hose failed because the rubber boot traps moisture, since it's an older car, you should've inspected and probably advised to replace the other side as well, if not all 4. 2. Use a 6 sided socket to initially brake loose the bleeder, especially on older cars where they might be overtightened or corroded due to lack of maintenance. 3. I'm not familiar with Alfa Romeo, but normally there is also a bleeder on the ABS pump itself where you can flush new fluid through it. 4. Don't mix the slide pin grease, you have no idea if they're compatible and they could gum up and seize. Clean the old stuff out if you don't know what it is. On the Auris, I would've recommended to replace that calliper to the customer since you noted that damage.

Parts story. My friend has an old Toyota LandCruiser. He lives in Tamanrasset in Algeria which is about three hours south of the capital Algiers. He can get parts, often Taiwanese, in Tamanrasset but they're not the good quality Toyota parts. So he flies up to Algiers to buy the genuine parts. Then he buys two seats of the plane back and straps the part, or parts, next to him. It never goes in the hold. 👍👍
