What it’s all about- to educate! 😁
@@themarvelousvlog u need new videos bruv.. it's been 12 days!
Well put together video. Great interviews, confirming the mindset I have regarding car parts, oils, filters, etc.... use good quality! Great to see Jimmy with you guys.
1st time in a long time I'm stuck for words other than thank you so much for making the content you do!!!!!
Thank you mate! Well done and well deserved on your award! 🫡
Nominations NEXT year... You guys AND JIMMY!
Fantastic info thank you guys
You should release an annual cd mix of this years greatest hits, boys.
🇵🇭Mindanao That’s What I Call Music 😉❤
Really enjoyed this video and it was good seeing a good few CZcamsrs I follow all in the one place and Johns Jimmy impression was top notch!
I’m glad you said impression and not racism 😂
I always use Magnatech oil 5.30 for the past 20 years and never had a problem and I use it because my brother had a Sierra 2.8 4×4 and a water hose went on it at high speed on the motorway and he managed to get it to a local garage and the mechanic said if it hadn't been for the oil it would have Seized up because it was red hot shouldn't have carried on but didn't want to get stuck on the motorway but the put a new hose on and it was fine.
Well done for the coverage of those 2 days, enjoyed looking at your videos and learn allot. Would be good to add links to the other guys channels in the description as well, only if you want to though! Keep bring us these good educational and entertaining content 😃👍🏾
I believe I did tag them in the description. I will check on that now
Love this so much! So glad to have finally met you guys!
I missed you!😢
I did tell him that you was at the thinkcar stand!
@MechanicMindset ahhh man I couldn't find you then I had to go! Next time for sure!
Just ordered myself a launch uk turbo egr cat and dpf cleaner. cheers for the insight
Thank you! You won’t believe the difference that it will make!
belta watch👍
Which DYI OBD I and II scanner do you recommend with resetting tire pressure sensors TPM and reading all brands?
I had to do my glow plug module on my bmw x5. Its buried under the inlet manifold. I decided to clean the manifold whilst i was there. It wasnt too bad . I use vpower diesel or bp ultimate diesel as i get points back on the loyaty card when i fill the company work van up on basic diesel. The 600 nm of torque on my x5 40d is addictive so i do drive it hard most times which helps
Definitely! Cars sometimes needs a good beating to get those carbon deposits out. It doesn’t just increase the heat, but also the air velocity increases as it passes those components etc… NOT always the cure but it sometimes helps
@@themarvelousvlogyep fresh fuel..regular servicing and avoiding short journeys and you should be good
Enjoyed it mate just wished you tackled Euro car parts on there lack of quality control and there lack of checking returns as most have been used
I will be interviewing them on the next one for sure!
@@themarvelousvlog give them hell mate I’m so fed up of the rubbish service from them and they don’t care
Ayyy there’s baz
You're like kids in a sweet shop. Enjoy guys.
Haha! As nerdy as it was, it was good speaking to the people that was there- for sure!
I need to do the timing chain and tensioners on a mk8 fk1 Honda civic hatchback it’s a 1.4 have you any videos that will help me? I’ve never done a timing chain before and all the videos I see is just the USA versions of the car(not the same engine) so I’m not sure if it will be the same or not
Good video, great content. The launch guy seemed a fountain of knowledge.
Shame about the castrol “rep” massive opportunity not only here but at the trade show to implement some knowledge on the trade. Shame he missed it with we are better than cheaper oils because we have been longer 🤣
Does he know the real reason shell, Mobil and castrol are all better than cheaper oils?
He also had a clear lack of understanding on specs and what they actually mean and involve.
Goodnight,
Karen
Shame you didn't have a discount code or affiliate link as ive just bought some through the link.

Would the launch DPF / turbo/egr cleaner help with carbon build up on the swirlflaps in volvo D5 engines...(mines all fine as they where replaced) car serviced every 5k and run on decent fuel...I'm looking at using it every 12 to 15 months...Also on engine oils, my D5 takes 0w30 A5/B5 but I use 5w30 A5 and always castrol.
Yes it definitely will. As you know, the reason why the swirl flap gets covered in gunk is because of the gum and tar sticking to it (mostly from the exhaust gases recycled through EGR). If the gum and tar is significantly reduced, you will also reduce the chance of carbon build up
universal oil is nice if you have more than car. My wife has a vx and I have a vw, and we have two different oils. It's annoying having to store 1litre of left of oil in 5Litre bottles for both of our cars.
I found that VW's quantum 5w30 is also dexxos approved so i might switch from castrol edge & magnatec to quantum.
You’ll find that a lot of oil approval crosses over to other manufacturers too, which is nice!
Good advice would be use quality oil and filters and if changed twice as often as recommended then your engine could last twice as long, if you buy a new car get the oil and filter changed after the first 1,000 miles, fuel additives generally work and are worth using, oil additives are best avoided and can actually cause damage just one example, oils have zinc, oil additives have zinc, two little zinc is bad and two much is bad, you really want to spend your money gambling with changing the ingredients of your oil and risking your engine and turbo?
Great to meet you guys! 👊
It was brilliant mate! Hoping that we get to speak to you a little longer next time. It was too short of a conversation- I had so many questions to ask but the day unfortunately had to end. On to the next one 💪🏽
Nice to meet you Mr Marvelous
I can hear your voice in your comment wtf!!!😂😂😂
@@themarvelousvlog all I hear is discountings 😂😂
What do you personally think of MANNOL oil, I've been using them for all my cars and haven't had any issues?
Hard to answer these questions. All I can say is, they’re not my first choice 😅
Regular oil and filter changes with manufacturers brand filter and quality oil is all that matters.
I think you forgot grade of oil.
Grade and quality, not manufacturer.
@@gottliebdee263 Yes but, remember 'warranty' and what it clearly states on the engine's oil cap.
We all know oil is essentially the lifeblood of an engine. The only thing I disagree with is oil change periods/durations. I'm not running my engines for 15,000 kilometres on a single change. To begin with you have to consider all manner of conditions and not just driving or weather.
It's all about the amount of protection you want for your engine. The longer it is left circulating the less protection it offers.
I should’ve interviewed you as well mate! Well said!
Well, here in the UK, a lot of people don’t even service their car for almost 7 years because they only do 1000mi a year- forgetting that it also breaks down over time
@@themarvelousvlog I used to work in the motor industry and have seen quite a few horrors for myself. Engines so full of black paste you wonder how they managed to drive to the service bay for you to investigate the knock from the block.
Now I work in the heavy motor industry and some of the same or similar problems have become giant sized.
But it's alright because diesel's a lubricant too, right? 😉
@@Dylanesque Agree.
Interesting video, thankyou. I switched to Mannol Fully Synthetic 5W30 C3 Low SAPS after using EXOL for a long time but EXOL massively hiked their prices for no good reason (sorry but the supply chain excuse and rising commodity prices excuse just didn't wash with me) and Mannol didn't massively hike prices. It's the correct spec so what's not to like. I could go with the recommended Shell Helix but a litre of that is more expensive than five litres of Mannol. Anyone comment?
Ive done 500,000 miles+ courier work on Mannol, (1200 miles a week minimum) can’t fault it. Gearboxes fail before engines using Mannol in my experience 🤷🏻
Mannol is not really my first choice when it comes to Engine Oil- don’t get me wrong, I would use them but never really been to any factors that would hand you Mannol as a choice of oil.
I do recommend Castrol, Shell and Liqui Molly though, for sure!
In regards to pricing, I always think about it like this when it comes to oil; Manufacturers who spend a lot of money on RnD will definitely be charging more than companies who charges less.
RnD is more expensive than Marketing, always remember that 😁
@@anonamouse9198 That's encouraging, thankyou
@@themarvelousvlog Thankyou for your reply, something to think about.
Hi , im interested in the launch uk dpf cleaning fluid, can you just add it to your fuel tank or do you have to use the gun ? Thanks

You should never use an oil that is 4 - 5 years old or or older! Oil additives in the oil separate out and lie at the bottom.
Shaking the bottle doesn't help!
If you have followed the best oil channels on CZcams where the people who know the most about oil are, then you know that you MUST NEVER use oil additives. It's not good for your engine. This has been analyzed and tested properly.
You have an additive package in the oil and then you add another oil that has an additional package of additives. offte the two packs of additives do not work well together. it can quickly result in a damaged engine.
you can be lucky that the oil additive you buy works well with the oil you already have, but you can also be unlucky.
All oil companies like to sell you this. costs a lot of money for a small bottle.
Change of pace... Thinking of a a career change as Auto-journalists 😂😂😂
It was fun you know! 😂
If only there was an award for shortest technician.. Sorry :)
Believe me, that wouldn’t be me 😂

Why in 🇺🇸 are they changing oil every 3k but the 🇬🇧 think they can go 20k or long life etc… seems crazy
That’s why engine exports from the UK is a no no no for many 😂

Best Automotive Content Creator mate
@@themarvelousvlog do u just get a medal? or tools for the award? Soon be a great compete when you jimmy all up there mate, u seen Kevin the clutch man 3 clutches in a day 🙄
long life oil. is just bullshit! you will get the same amount of soot and other things in the oil, whether it is normal or long-life oil. With today's sensitive motors, you always have to change the oil relatively often
deleting comments i see, not good...
I’ve not deleted a single comment… what do you mean?
Please come fix my car bro 🙁🙁🙁🙁
Send me a WhatsApp when you can. Number in the description! 😁
but and it`a mighty big BUTT, have you tried plusgas yet ???????
I haven’t no 😅
I would like to you ask the Castrol guy, why do they sell a High Mileage Castrol Edge oil in the USA, but not in the UK?
I know the answer but I can’t say unfortunately 😅
they do sell high mileage Castrol Edge oil in the UK, I use 0w/20 LLIV Castrol Edge in my Ford Transit Connect (LL stands for Long Life) and they claim you can use it til 18,000 miles. That could never be me though. I'll change out around 3-5000 miles
These manufacturers spend millions on R&D so why would you cheap out on crap oil? I'm 200k on 530d with 5k oil oe changes and premium fuel and not a single issue.
WET BELT DESIGN IS ABSOLUTELY SXXT 😂😂😂WEREWOLFS ARE REAL AND HAVE BEEN SEEN IN THE UK
