Not only should the award go to someone less privileged, it should go to someone who has actually done something to merit receiving an award. I can't imagine that Harry looks at his trophy case full of the empty awards he's received over the past few years and feels any pride at all.

From another channel, I heard this: Hazzard is trying to pick up awards to help boost/ support his A01 (or something like that) US visa application as getting awards is 1 of the factors that is listed as boosting the likelihood of the visa being approved. They are getting influential friends in high places to help them, put their names forward & persuade various committees etc. I suspect this is true.

The ONLY positive things I've heard him say about the US is he likes In-N-Out Burger and the beach. That's it. He treats everything else with disdain--veterans, civilian, the law, the IRS, etc.
