I'm inclined to think that the King is just "going through the motions" out of politeness these days. The Mountebanks of Montecito's behaviour has been so atrocious and time + distance has created such a separation between them and the rest of the royal family that any previous ties of affection are, at least, severely frayed and, more likely, completely severed by now. I think it’s the local visits, which bring attention to local interests and have local politicians involved, that are the problem. It could be see. As the Crown endorsing one political side over the other. The big set pieces are in a different league.
@@alanaw27 I mean, I can see it. Everything is being politicized these days. It is kinda crazy. Also can be stuff that is being affected by bills that are going through parliament where one party is more involved than the others. Politics can get dicey fast.

I don't know of any reason to believe that KC extended an invite to royal grounds, much less to meet with Harry. This was covered previously that Harry was not allowed to stay on royal grounds, and, no, KC was 'too busy' to meet with him.
Now, all this nonsense that Harry was invited, but didn't stay due to 'security'. It's hogwash.
