- If you mention the Israel lobby in the mainstream media then, more often than not, you’ll face accusations of antisemitism. There are of course people who talk about the Israel lobby in antisemitic terms, but that doesn’t undermine the fact that it exists, and has existed for well over a century.
This week’s guest is Israeli historian and author Ilan Pappé. His new book details the origins of zionism and the struggles against it throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. He joins Aaron to discuss Harold Wilson, Nye Bevan, AIPAC, Labour Friends of Israel and the Christian roots of Zionism.

How does a Palestinian state come about? By whose authority? The UN? Israel ignores the UN as it wishes. As long as Israel opposes a Palestinian state, the US will not force the issue.
Before the 7th of October attacks on Israel, my knowledge on Israel was very vague and I'd support Israel, but Prof Pappe's lectures in different platforms opened my eyes. I kept studying and learned the truth. I'm grateful to Prof Pappe for telling us the true story.

Well it goes to show education in the modern setting is not doing it's job of real education which used to mean to lead out what is within, like socrates said long ago learning is a process of recollection, to bring forth the genuine genius within. Modern educational environment is more like indoctrination to make one a cog in the western machinery of corrupt capitalism. Slavery never truly disappeared in it's totality, what takes it's place is the modern wage slave culture and modern education inculcate that status, everyone is assigned their place in the pyramid.

I mentioned this lobby thing in one of my comments on a youtube video and the next minute I got a message from CZcams saying that I was sowing hatred and threatened to close down my channel. This happened last week.
It's becoming a real problem in YT, part of the information warfare. Censorship's gotten much worse since this latest conflict arose. On one hand, there is no doubt an army of individuals reporting content; paid or unpaid sayanim. However, one has to wonder what's going on INSIDE CZcams, eg from Tel Aviv offices. Any country that can, has security people sitting within major media outlets. I'd find it very hard to believe Israel didn't. We'll have to wait until some insiders start to speak out.

The Levant Basin, which sits in the Mediterranean, is estimated to have some 1.7 billion barrels of oil while over 1.5 billion barrels are estimated to lie beneath the occupied West Bank. Same motives are at play in Ukraine, where the US is willing to annihilate that nation, and risk nuclear conflict/WW3 in order to gain control of resources.

Professor Pappe is a gem in terms of his knowledge and capacity to depict historical events about Palestine. However, above all is an incredible human being. I can pretty much say the same thing about Avi Shleim, Norman Finkelstein, Gabor Matte, Daniel Levy, Gideon Levy and few others. So sad that jews with spine are few and far in between.
Love hearing this guest speak - he's sober, humble, kind, warm and thorough with no egoic baggage even though he's been through a lot. Method and a thorough meticulous approach will always trump hyersteria in the end. Stay courageous.

The only strategy for Israel to survive permanently is to establish good relations with the surrounding Muslims.
Although Israel's military strength is now the strongest in the Middle East, and it has almost unconditional protection from the United States.
However, today's strength does not mean forever strength, and the United States cannot always be the hegemon. What will happen in another 50 years, and another 100 years?
In addition, the style of war is also undergoing earth-shaking changes, which may also be disadvantageous to a small country like Israel. I also went back to 1800 and was shocked by what was obvious -- the European problem- foisted onto the Semites of Arab west Asia. Of course, I didn't have Dr. Pappē's intimacy and research, but I do now. I bought the book. This a wonderful interview.
