Meghan's strawberry jam situation is so very sad. She has managed to make herself so famous/infamous that anything she does gets a lot of attention. She came out with this strawberry jam, sent to "friends" and influencers with no actual product to sell. So because of her fame, people are now hyper-focused on strawberry jam, but she has none to sell, sending everyone to buy other people's jams. I've almost stopped laughing and _almost_ feel bad for her for being so ignorant of how business works. She wanted to be world famous. She is, and now it's biting her on the backside.

You are right I almost feel bad but honestly she had perfect cards to succeed. If I recall correctly queen offered her to marry Harry but do something else if she doesn't want royal duties. I’m glad BP made the advertisement because I had no idea they had a shop. I made my order this week. I ordered several shortbread in different flavors, I also ordered the mini shortbread tubes they advertise to keep for emergencies in your handbag😊 I added the strawberry preserve, marmalade, truffles, honey and honey dipper. The items are very affordable, I bought several items and I ended up spending a lot but I didn’t mind as proceeds go to charity.

There was a clip of Chrissy Tiegan and John Legend on a red carpet a few days ago and they wjere asked about Meghans Jam but forgot all about it and then started talking about Flamingo House products.
Charles has been selling jam under the "Highgrove Royal Orchard" label for years. All products come from the Highgrove estates and artisans, and all proceeds go to charity.

As usual, Meghan Markle has blown a bunch of hot air and nothing's happened on her end. The fact that Highgrove Is selling out of their products speaks volumes. Then there's her lack of attention in securing domain names. That has spawned a fantastic page to a charity fundraiser. I'm glad in this little endeavor that there has been so much good as a result of so much horrid and egotistical behavior. This backfire is just brilliant and what makes it more special is she didn't see it coming and there's nothing she can do about it. Although the UK website for Tressel is getting blowbacks from some of her weak-minded and vapid sycophants who cannot get their heads wrapped around the fact that the site was not hacked or stolen as they claim their narcissistic leader screwed up and didn't pin everything down. So much for her attention to detail.
They're also saying those donations are monies stolen from M.

I have never once thought about buying foodstuffs on line: the fabulous food stores and supermarkets close by offer an extensive range of every item that I might have a craving for and selecting from the options on the shelf as I fill my shopping basket is quite satisfying. And I head home with products in hand. No delay.
This ARO launch has been abysmal. She hasn't put anything out for people to purchase, so I don't think she is concerned about sales. I think what she really wants is for people to talk about her, and that is what we are all doing.

I guess cookery is just something celebrity wannabes make now because everyone has to eat and people like Meghan and Chrissy have no focused interests or hobbies. Vanna White loved to crochet, so she started a yarn line. Rachel Ray and Ree Drummond loved cooking so they put their entire focus on it. Gwyneth Paltrow is into homeopathic and natural stuff so she started Goop. Jessica Simpson was into fashion and started her own company. Heck, even Jessica Alba got started in her organic diaper brand once she became a mother. But these are celebrities that make products with a specific focus and have a special drive behind making them.

In my honest opinion, if she had started ARO within say 6 months to a year of leaving the royal family, she probably would have been very successful. Katherine Heigl’s Badlands Ranch Dogfood is well respected as well as Iman Fashion collection and she had a successful handbag collaboration with Joy Mangano. Meghan has nothing, in her dreams she thinks her cooking show will be better than Emeril’s, The Frugal Gourmet, Justin Wilson, Paul Prudhomme, Giada, Paula Deen, Nigella- never, not even close.

In the UK we use lots of jams and marmalades. The supermarkets are crammed with products at every price and every brand and variety. We buy from Highgrove Harrods, Fortum and Mason shops when we visit London or a Royal resident. It's part of our tradition like new pj's at Christmas 😅😅😅😅

I ordered 2 of the Buckingham Palace and Holyrood House jams after hearing about Meghan and her jam. Received them yesterday. The one I opened is pretty tasty 🍓
Mine came yesterday too, ordered 6 and coronation biscuits. The jams are really worth the price and hype it’s getting now. Not too sweet, you can really taste the difference between this and other brands, glad I ordered it.
The shipping fees are a lot though.

I agree this just looks like a PR Stunt. However, there are two other possibilities. 1) They need to use this company as a business loss for tax purposes.
2) They want to claim "agricultural use" status for their property. In many states, this status allows cheaper property taxes--a huge cost in California.
I have no idea how much acreage you need to have to qualify for this. Just a thought.
