Meghan Markle was a D-List actress on a cable show. She's a hustler. She's a grifter. She found herself getting older and as an unaccomplished actress in Hollywood inching up on 50 years old, which made it much harder to hustle in Hollywood. So, she set her sights on finding a rich Brit. She hustled her way into the RF, conned Harry, then hustled back to Hollywood, but, she has no talent, no true work ethic, she's a massive liar, she feels entitled, so she's failing miserably. She should just stick to grifting.

So true. And it's also not about keeping up with the trends, strictly. Markle has been in the industry, have relatively good connections via her father and husband, yet unable to secure a decent career. All she had were bit parts and walk-on parts. She just does not have what it takes to succeed in Hollywood, and time has run out for her. Better and more beautiful actresses than her are playing mom roles at this same age. While she's still wanting to play the ingenue and the rom-com heroine! 🤣

Rachel oversold herself, and Harry fell for it. She made out like she was a huge star when, in reality, nobody knew who she was. I still believe the Faux-Prah interview was their biggest mistake. Not only was it full of lies, but nobody wants to listen to wealthy people playing the victim. If they had left the royal family and got on with their lives, they could have been successful. If they had done the work that they claim they wanted to do without paying for a multitude of paid for PR puff pieces every day, they wouldn't be over exposed. The fact is that they are both lazy and lack the talent to succeed. The biggest problem we have is that they have attached themselves to politics and are being used behind the scenes on censorship, and that makes them dangerous, in my opinion.
I lost any and all respect for Oprah after that interview and have been boycotting her stuff since then.
If they were capable of putting a shift in they probably would have been capable of the Royal life.

He was a senior royal, it would have been unbearable for our remaining royal family if they had tried to be royals in Hollywood and succeeded, it would diminish the royal family in a way that a lesser member would not have in some ways. At least without them, our royals can shine and continue to do the job they so ably do.

Well said and totally true. I think that MM thought that by marrying Harry she would be considered a huge star and celebrity, and the fact is that she actually was as long as she was a working royal. But all that went away when they left the royal family. Now they are desperate and seem to have no real talent or job. Just showing up for charity ribbon cuttings, etc. A cooking show. Hilarious. Grasping at straws is what it looks like to most of us.

I'm more famous than you now!" Her co-stars from Suits never got an invite to the reception, remember. "Naff off, nobodies, I don't want you hanging around any more". They've all realised it now, that they were being used.

MM was always dazzled by Hollywood, growing up, there was Hollywood right in her backyard. She found out about the RF, what it was like to be on the inside. But she needed to always win, or be first, she thought she would replace the Queen, of all people! She is basically a fantasist, what she wants to be when she grows up -- a philanthropist, a social activist, a grand princess, an Oscar winning actress, a President of the US. But she doesn't realize she hasn't got the personality, the mental and emotional endurance to work hard.

the irony, as we've watched this catastrophe play out is that her two biggest connections to Hollywood were her Dad and her ex husband both of whom she discarded in despicable ways.... all of those 'fabulous' a-list stars that were at their wedding have walked away from her, why?... because like her they're opportunists and they got what they wanted, she has nothing left to offer them now...... she still can't see that what they wanted was in fact royalty and I suspect they all still do....... walking away returned her back to a wannabe actress on the hustle for the next gig, but her back catalogue of roles doesn't play out well for a 40+ actress.... that's just Hollywood.....

You are forgetting…Harry found a family that would tolerate and enable his drug use. It’s alleged Doria is a heavy weed user and seller even smoking it while pregnant with MM. Actor Sean Penn who touts himself as a humanitarian (in every other country but his own) made a documentary about Ukraine's Zelensky (whose been involved in shady dealings) and when Penn tried to persuade the Academy of Motion Pictures to present Zelensky w/an award and they declined, Penn carried on like he'd been victimized, bemoaning that he was probably safer in the Ukraine anyway, comparing a slap across the face on the stage as if worse than living war torn country like a spoilt child who didn't get a cookie! Then move to the Ukraine and stop your whining, Sean! These celebs are so full of themselves I just can't w/them...
The older Hollywood actors and actresses also used to play in live theater in New York. The so called actors today aren’t talented enough to do live theatre.
Broadway replaced actors when the silent movies stopped. Broadway saved Hollywood. That's why you see musicals from the 40s.

The politically motivated actors ruined all those daft awards shows because they insist on lecturing the ordinary people in the most sanctimonious way. The only reason we want to see them outside of their movies or shows is for them to give puff piece interviews where they come across as charming and funny. As you say so many celebrities are famous for being famous and that doesn’t mean they have the right to lecture the rest of us.

It's such a shame as we had entrusted Disney shows with our children. They were just good stuff and we didn't have to worry about kids being shown confusing themes inappropriate for their world of innocence. I used to endure long lines at their parks for the sake of the kids' enjoyment of their favorite Disney characters coming alive. Nowadays I stay away!

Royalty is the ultimate pedigree. It does take a certain personality to fulfill a royal role and "belong"... MM didn't fit in and ultimately wanted both: the glitz of Hollywood and the prestige of royalty. The freedom of being American and the perks of a royal connection. With her political leanings, she can move to Hollywood, chant freedom, modernity, "princess of the people", independent career woman on her own terms etc. She wanted the best of both worlds but failed to execute, tarnishing both IMO.

I think once she had Harry in her sights she thought she could be Princess Diana. But Diana came from aristocracy and knew how things worked. It’s like moving to another country, all kinds of things are different even if you all speak English. So she tried to fast track into Diana’s shoes without understanding how things work in that higher echelon of society. She didn’t want to fit in, she wanted to be different, to be noticed. Then as now, that’s what she wants and because she doesn’t do proper research she fails every time, even to the point of offending Nigerian high society
The thing is, MM wanted the titles and to return to the US to celebrated and revered. She didn't actually want to return to acting, she was now above that. This has really left her with nothing to do, she's not doing Royal work and she's not acting. That combined with the massive levels of negativity and sh..ting on everyone in your life makes people weary of them. Still, they had the chance to produce content for Netflix and Spotify but they literally have no content, talent or imagination and MM will not listen to anyone who could actually help with this. Now she is returning to being Royal and visiting Nigeria as she knows that is where she had it best, but of course it's not the real thing anymore. The problem is she isn't nice, she isn't sincere and doesn't actually do anything - that all wears a bit thin after a while. So she really considered herself above royalty and above Hollywood, i guess that really only leaves politics, but she won't want to work at that either. She's too toxic for anything these days, things are not on the up and up!

I think she thought being a royal is like how it's portrayed in Hollywood movies. The mc enters a royal family, face a few hardships, gain a few sympathy points, get a royal love intererest, automatically adored by everyone. She always thinks she's the main character in a movie, so obviously she thinks she'd succeed like those movie mcs. But what she fails to realise is most movies forgo the consequences and actual repurcussions, to sell 'happily ever after' vibes. But she's a fool with super ego who thinks she can achieve that with her consistent mistreatment of others. It's laughable how much of a failure she is, and even more laughable that Harold seems to believe he can also live the Hollywood life. What a perfectly matched couple.

H &M remind me of children, in that if you ask them what they want to be, the answer will fluctuate from day to day, even hour to hour. I am amazed at the lack of follow through. I raised a child, working full time, with no nanny or cleaning services. I also worked out 6 hours a week. I cannot fathom what I could have accomplished had I had the staff to help. Hi Brittany. YT influencers are more fun to watch, especially those who make meaningful content. Hollywood stars failed to recognize that their stature automatically makes them role models. But many of them started believing they are immortals, above the law, and became so full of themselves.

FROM THE BEGINNING (2020)... I questioned aloud (in my home and on YT) when Netflix and Spotify deals were revealed, "WHY?!? What SUCCESSFUL production and/or talent have they DEMONSTRATED?!? Who (in those companies) made those deals because there is NO - repeat, NO BANKABLE history in those industries coming with them?!?" I instantly felt sympathy for all the dreaming talent in those industries that had put heart-and-soul and HARD WORK into their particular arena. Netflux and Stupefy sooooo elitist. Some idiots got their head turned by Sparry's title and position and this is going to sink like a rock.
Excellent point that the movie industry is flopping. My teenager works at the movie theater. Memorial Day weekend had them cutting work hrs bc their projections were off as no one is really going to the movies anymore.

H&M dramatically 'running away from home' and voicing their victimhood -- at the outset of a global pandemic -- was one of the most tone deaf disconnects I have ever seen. People were dying -- I was in NYC -- and H&M were whining about privacy? I simply didn't know what they could be talking about. H's proclaimed 'freedom flight' to Canada was when the world was grounded; no normal less-privileged citizen could fly. It was impossible to even rent a car.
This is one of the reasons why Keanu Reeves is one of my favorite actors . . . we don't know ANYTHING about his politics.
