I find this award going to Harry so shameful. Once again, an American should be receiving this award. He has no shame. Tillman sacrificed his life for his country. Harry abandoned and condemned his country for money. Does wme think if he received enough shameful awards people will forget?

That is exactly what I thought. If they were determined to present it to Invictus, why not allow one of the wounded veteran athletes to accept the award on behalf of Invictus? He should have politely declined being personally given this award. Why is he involved in American veteran awards? I could not agree with you more! Harry bought that award. I just read about it yesterday. It's inappropriate and disgusting.
It seems all awards in the US can be bought which doesn't lend credibility to the organisation. Feel sorry for all the veterans who had to babysit Harry during his two tours of duty. These soldiers were out there for months whereas Harry only did ten weeks in the first tour and 20 weeks in the second.

Harry co-founded Invictus with full support of the Royal Foundation
I went to the Pat Tillman page and submitted a letter stating that it is a disgrace that Harry is receiving this award. I explained that he didn't create the Invictus Games and how the games are no longer about the veterans and nothing more than a PR exercise for Harry and Rachel. I stated how disgusting it was that she marched in front of veterans in shorts and flip-flops and how they use Invictus funds for private jets, 5 star hotels, Rachel's wardrobe etc
I also explained that Harry was kept safe in Afghanistan in a bunker. I said it was a dishonour to Pat's service and life to give Harry any recognition. I had to give my details. However, I don't mind because it needed to be said.
Thatâs extremely commendable.
I am British and have no connection to the armed forces but I sat there open mouthed to see Meghan Markle ( a woman with no military connections whatsoever) âstrutting her stuffâ in crotch high shorts âleadingâ a parade of injured ex-servicemen.
It looked like a sick joke and I am staggered that the Invictus body did not stop this mockeryâŠ..she paraded in stilettos and civvies on 2 other occasions at the same Games!!

William had been involved in a phone hacking case with a newspaper group .. his settlement was £1million ⊠every penny of which he donated to Invictus. Pat Tillman was an American hero. Harry has nothing to do with heroism. He does not deserve this award in any way. I am so offended for our service men and women. My son went to war after 9/11 and was in Iraq for three years. As a military mother, this is an outrage.
Also, a military mom. After 911, my son was deployed several times to Iraq and Afghanistan. It is an outrage giving this award to Harry. Anyway, thank you to your son for his service.
A young man in my neighbourhood went to serve in Afganistan. When he came home on leave, he committed s-de in his bedroom. He was not prepared for what he was to see and have to do. He was an idealistic young man. I couldn't help thinking about this lad, and his mum and dad, when H was handed this award.

The firm, with Prince William, Princess Catherine, and Harry, then created the IG. The BRF then gave it over to Harry so he would have something to do.

As an American with a family member serving in the military, Iâm extremely surprised and annoyed by Harryâs behavior. My first time to see this abhorrent relationship with Harry was in Pearl Harbor. It is my belief that these things signal a connection that they are not aware of. That should make all of us aware that there is something going on that is being hidden. As someone who has worked in the non-profit world I can tell you how it works. Whatever entity that gives the award reaches out and says that they want to give it to you, but they need a "donation" of such and such amount. It's corruption, but legal and common

I recall that his nickname was "Bunker Harry" during his years of service in Afghanistan because he spent his days in his bunker playing video games and was rarely in the field. This nickname doesn't go with someone who collects military medals. He should be ashamed but of course, like his wife, he doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Im a disabled war veteran who also served Operation Iraqi Freedom as support for the 10th Mountain Regimen and the 1st Infantry Division near Fallujah. We were the only Army unit embedded with the Marines. I heard of Tillman even while we were out there and anyone who served alongside side him said he was a humble guy who just wanted to do something for his nation after 9/11. Im telling you right now, it is beyond a slap in the face if this idiot shows up. But instead of getting mad at this vain, constitution hating boogeramous, we need to find out who allowed this. The legacy of Tillman has to be protected. I wil make phone calls to everyone i know(veterans) and spread the word to get a hold of this foundation and see if there's any way we can stop this. I might be just one voice but i will raise hell to protect the fallen.

As an ASU grad where we celebrate Tillman with fundraising, scholarships, and a number of other ways and who saw his retired number at every home game and heard his family and friends speak to his legacy-I cannot compute how Prince Harry is in the same league as Pat Tillman nor those who keep his legacy company.

I wouldn't care if they gave it to an international veteran but give it to one that deserves it. Pat Tilman was an amazing hero and a man who could be looked up to. This is an insult to Pat Tilman and all of the other veterans who could have been honored.

Harry didn't found anything at all. If I remember correctly, IG was a Royal family project that went to William and Harry. After a few years, Elizabeth asked William to step down from the project because Harry was desperate for positive publicity at that time and that's how he found himself representing the games alone.
