Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series Land Cruiser Grilles Headlight & Grill Install
zhlédnutí 13KPřed 4 lety
I finally get around to installing my Headlight & Grill from Land Cruiser Grilles on my Toyota Land Cruiser 100! Land Cruiser Grilles has changed the top brackets on the headlight housings since this install (I have the older ones). You may need to use washers as spacers on the top bolt to shim the grill out to where you want it. Update: If you have the odd "High beam on" issue contact Gary at ...

Do you have a video for the Sub? the subwoofer in the back of my 100 series is blown
Late to the party, but love eibach. Underrated
The Delta rear Bumper! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
?
Did you have a problem with the screw holes not lining up with adapter?
awesome video ! wished ya asked the "how many mileS? question ! haha
when i search 6 inch speakers they usually come up at 6.5 inch...will those work?
20:08 I am a beginner and I would like to ask how much the overall height of this car is from the back and the front
Hey mate I brought theses same lights did yours Come with bulbs ?
I wonder if this matches with a white colour body. Cant decide which 1 to buy, the first headlight/ the 2nd one ?😅
What tail lights are those?
They are aftermarket, don't recommend using them; ended up putting OEM back on later
Is it that easy to take out the grill?
Thanks for watching, pretty much; yes
Purchased the same exact set up to this - including the LEDs , and I’m having a ton of issues getting the lights to cycle correctly. Did a custom harness do the trick for you?
Up until the snow drifts, do you think this trail is doable in a stock Renegade? Going to take a road trip through Breckenridge and want to do a little exploring on my way through! Have a good bit of trail experience in my old 91’ Wrangler, but don’t really want to take it 1,000+ miles on the highway with the 4-banger and 35’s! 😂
have you done the rear subwoofer as well
I did not, I ended up putting a drawer system in the back that would have negated any subwoofer upgrade
Hi thanks for sharing your build. How did you mount the system to the frame?
Thanks for watching, I removed the anchor points and used the existing holes with longer bolts
Hi, Do you think you could make this drive with a car? Going from gateway to moab on this route. Thank you!
Hey there, was wondering if you ever go the headlights wired up properly and how has the mod held up? I just took the plunge and did the install on the grill and headlight conversion. Thanks!
I ended up going with a 6" jeep light mod that I really liked; the Relay Harness from Gary at innovativewiring.com worked great even with the jeep mod
Looks like if you get stuck on the road, there are plenty of trees to winch off of...
loved the video. I'll be heading to Clear Lake this September. How did you make the map that shows your progress on the trail?
Where does this road dump out at on the Telluride side?
At the airport
How long did the drive take you?
You could use a nutsert for the top but these headlights look too flimsy to last anything resembling corrugated roads we have here in australia. This is shopping mall lights as nothing beats toyota glass units.
Thanks for watching! totally agree, I ended up going back to OEM glass units later
@@OverlandTrax You can't beat Toyota OEM I tried many times over the years and finally gave up on such improvements. Its tempting but it is damn hard to beat perfect. Some aftermarket gear is truly excellent but 95% is garbage.
Your rig looks great, thanks for sharing. the moulding delete looks 4:27 great but does seem like a lot of work. I am also considering the headlight swap as I too have similar aftermarket headlamps now current but not entirely happy with the performance. I did have a question if, are those factory corner lamps? And if so, so you smoke/tint them?
They are factory and had them tinted, thanks for watching!
Can you post the link for the speakers? Are they 6” or 6.5”?
did you find the answer to this question elsewhere , if so let me know
They are 6.5
Thanks for watching, they Polk Audio DB651s 6.5"
What do the new ones look like turned on?
I forgot to take a video of it after the install. That being said, I didn't like how they performed and later put the OEM housings back on. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. Definitely very challenging in there during the winter. I've run the other 2 gulches in spring but not this one.
Wow both parts you listed made this a 30 minute job. Thanks for the links!
Thanks for watching!
What year and how many miles on her now? 😍
Thanks for watching, over 150k!
Hey bro, can you tell me the reference or the link about that speaker? Good video man...
thanks for watching, the are Polk Audio DB651s
How can get the contact for the fabrication
Thanks for watching, the fabrication was by landcruisergrilles.com
Hey how can I get the cofpt
Thanks for the video. Question - how does the whole set up hold onto the car? Or is the weight just enough.
I removed the original anchor points and used longer bolts to keep everything in place; thanks for watching!
We love it! Great shots of nature and the forest.
We did this route up Shaffer Trail in October 7th, 2022, could not believe seeing sedans and minivans on this route!!
Its possible, don't recommend it; especially if its wet
Just did this drive a week ago and the floods they had recently really messed up the trail. It was much worse than what you saw in this video. From Potash all the way up Shafer the trail was rutted and parts of it washed out. No sedan or 4x2 vehicle could make it up that trail now. I climbed it in a 2019 Honda Pilot AWD with Falcon Wildpeak Trail AT tires. I bottomed out a couple of times and several times on Potash I was convinced the car wouldn't make it but somehow managed to push through. It's an epic trail with awesome views but I wouldn't recommend doing it in a sedan, 4x2, or even an AWD with All Season tires. You get stuck out there and it's minimum $1000 for a tow.
Excellent video production! What app/program do you use for the map overlay?
Thanks for watching! I use a AE plugin called GEOlayers
just did this at the end of may. was a very fun and challenging hike. im from CT. i started my hike from the hotel which was 2 miles away so no need to find parking. i did the hike on a full sun day and got burnt.
Congrats!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Would you mind share which road you were in ? Thank you.
Glad to hear you liked it! Trail details can be found here: funtreks.com/off-road-trails/red-mountain-mining-area/
Thanks for the video!
You bet, thanks for watching!
You brought us all the way and never showed us the lights on or really the look from a few angles!!
Good point, thanks for the feedback!
I noticed that several within your group got off the trail after crossing Shell Creek! Please keep your vehicles in the trails to minimize damage to the Forrest! Thanks
You should stay the trail, this wasn't my group; it was jeep jamboree event.
Spanish word ( me da no ) means dune /dunes. The pass that leads you to the dunes / Sand Dunes.
good to know, thanks for watching!
Sorry, probably missed it, but what make is your tent? Looks super spacious and easy to assemble. 👍👍
Its an Oztent, thanks for watching!
Whenever someone says long story short you know it’s gonna be a long story 🤣🤣
lol, fair point; thanks for watching!
"cheapest and best mod" the cabin filter i love it XD
right!?!
Thank you for filming this and showing me the terrain and what I am in for it when I try it. It was very helpful to gauge the difficulty. Also thank you for taking the time to jump out and get the exterior shots, they look so cool. How long would you say it took you to traverse it?
Glad to hear you found it helpful, it has been awhile but a couple hours sounds about right
Can fwd car sedan make the trail? Thank you
Yes and no. My car is a 2001 Vw golf with Jeep springs/Bilstein shocks for a 6 inch lift with 28 inch all terrain tires. Car only has about 120HP and is front wheel drive. I made it to the communication tower and without bombing it at 15+mph I am confident I couldnt go farther. Depends your ability, and your willingness to "send it" The road is relatively easy up to the dug out mine section. Then there is an increase in the incline and some decent bumps/ruts. I found it to be easy for the FWD car. After you hit the "treeline" the path gets noticably harder. Tiny rocks is the path and more incline made for traction issues. I was definitely pushing my car pretty hard to find power at that altitude and maintain momentum.
I wouldn't recommend it, especially if weather conditions are not favorable...
Makes me 2nd guess going on this trail in my 4runner. Those rocks look happy to ruin people's days! Great video.
thanks for watching, its a great trail as long as you know what your getting into!
Where can i purchase these headlights?
search ebay for: Headlight "LAND CRUISER" 100 Black or something along those lines. That being said I ended up replacing these because I wasn't impressed with their performance...
Is it possible to drive this road in a mustang (slowly) ??
Thanks for watching! No, I do not recommend it; especially if weather is not favorable...
Great video. Thanks for the information.
Thanks for watching, glad to hear you found it helpful!
