Sand Flats Rd, Moab

Sand Flats Road is located east of Moab, Utah in Sand Flats Recreation Area and BLM land and considered an easy trail. An easy trail means you should be able to complete the trail in a stock vehicle depending on driver capabilities and good weather conditions. Keep in mind that trail ratings are approximate, an easy trail can be difficult or even impassible if the weather conditions are not favorable. The trail is roughly 15 miles long starting at 4,200 feet with its highest point being 7,400 feet. Depending on your vehicle, driving style, and weather conditions it will take approximately an hour to complete. If you’re feeling adventurous there are a few other trails in the area worth exploring as well. There are no services along this trail. Make sure you have plenty of water, food, fuel and the right gear to avoid a misadventure. There are several campgrounds along the trail if you’re looking for a place to stay.
