There are still some small issues here and there. But nothing game-breaking. I think Nixxes are doing a much better job at porting games to PC than most other companies.

I spoke about 27-inch 1080p experience vs 32-inch 4K experience. I've spent many years playing games on a 27-inch 1080p monitor. 24 inch is too small in my opinion. So, I know very well what it feels like in comparison🙂

😂 The name is not as bad as some other ones out there. But I do think that these monitor model names need to become easier to pronounce. Gigabyte is on the right path with their M series. M27Q, M32U and so on.

The video is 60 FPS. So, it may look smoother than what you'd see on your monitor. Although, I've no idea what kind of performance you're getting on your PC. So, can't comment on anything.

G-Sync and FreeSync take care of tearing nowadays. I haven't experienced tearing in like forever. If you experience it then I suggest you check if your monitor supports one of those Sync technologies. Alternatively, use VSync.

After comparing the RTX 3060 vs 4060 I overwhelmingly prefer the experience I had with the RTX 4060 - czcams.com/video/22lQTEP44og/video.html If prices are similar (like in my region) then I'd recommend going for the 4060 instead of the 3060.

You don't have to. You can still use the 4060 with your current setup and have a good time.

You have 32GB of RAM and a decent CPU that should deliver 60+ FPS in pretty much any modern game. Which component do you think is not suitable in your PC to pair with the RTX 4060? I think your PC will be OK with this upgrade.

It's not the first game where I've seen similar behaviour from frame generation. But it'd be nice to get at least 20 extra frames generated🙂 If they are high-quality, of course. Let's see what happens with future patches. Nixxes fixed a lot of things in future patches when Horizon Forbidden West launched earlier this year. I'm sure they'll do the same with this game.

Decent 1440p monitors are not that much more expensive than 1080p. Just saying. Might be worth looking into that.

That is unfortunate. I think it is because of Sony's PSN accounts drama. PSN isn't available in many countries. The least they must do is return your money. But the truth is that this is not right. To ban so many players from enjoying the game. Also, PSN is required only for online component of the game. Single player works without PSN. I hope Sony resolves this issue at some point so we can all enjoy games equally across the world.

​@@michaelmcconnell73024k DLSS Quality or even balanced sometimes look better than native 1440p. Although 4K DLSS Q should look better than 1440p native in any game you play. I have LG C3 & 1440p OLED monitor, however AAA games look still better on my C3 using DLSS Q or Balanced.

Yeah, I did🙂 I prefer the 4K experience. I have this 32 inch 4K monitor and a 27 inch 1440p monitor. And yet I use the 4K one as my main.

The 4070 is quite a bit more powerful than the 4060 Ti. So, I'd prefer the 4070. However, the 4070 SUPER is not that much more expensive than the 4070... I've been using the 4070 SUPER as my main GPU to play games at 4K for the last few months. It's been a very pleasant experience. So, if I were recommending something better than the 4060 Ti then it'd be the 4070 SUPER.

VENTUS 2X cooler design can be different on different tier cards. Works well enough on this 4070 SUPER. I've been using it for several months and can't complain.

GTA 5? Yeah. You can play GTA 5 at 1080p even on the modern integrated graphics. I'm sure that the 3060 can handle it using very high graphics settings. But why don't you search for its performance? I have no idea. Can't help you clarify this. I returned this laptop a while ago because 8GB of RAM is not enough in 2024.

Maybe later. I have a lot of GPU videos coming next. But if you want to know what my favourite budget 1440p monitor is then here it is - Gigabyte M27Q 😉 I've used it for a long time and it was great. Especially, if you catch it at low price. It's currently $260 on US Amazon. I think that's a good price.

With that GPU I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to 4K🙂 But your choice looks great too. Especially, if you play a lot of games that you can run at 200+ FPS at 1440p. More frames is better😀

I was contemplating it. But then scrapped this idea and returned the RTX 3060. It feels wrong to promote the 3060 if it needs third-party software to make it a decent choice in 2024. There is no guarantee that good support will be provided and maintained if it isn't done by NVIDIA. It's a cool software though.

@@theivadim I understand that but if you can get a 3060 for half the price of a 4060 like I did, I think it's worth it. Heck, I'm perfectly content with my A2000 thanks to Lossless Scaling's frame gen

@@theivadim I bought Lossless Scaling for my Steam Deck (before selling it) to upscale games when I had Windows installed on it and this was prior to them adding frame gen to the app. This program has gotten many updates since, I think it has pretty good support. The fact that it works on all graphics cards and for all games makes it a worthy investment imo.

Half price? I can't argue with that bargain🙂👍 But when we're talking about the same price or +/- $10-20 like it was the case when I was buying the RTX 3060 to make this video then I'd buy the RTX 4060 instead of the 3060 every time.

@@theivadim yea, I was able to find a 3060 for $180. The 4060 being relatively new makes it difficult to find bargain deals. I tested a 4060 and really like the performance per watt of the card but not worth $200 more for the 3060 I found

4070 Ti SUPER is obviously better. 4090 is even more better. I know because I've had an RTX 4090 for several weeks. But my point is - even the 4070 SUPER PC build works. The only thing I can't do is play games at 4K with ray tracing enabled. I'm having a good time using this setup.

Oh yes... the "HDR"😄 The screen doesn't get bright enough to deliver good HDR. But it still looks a little bit better than HDR off. Don't you agree?

This is out of the box performance. I've had the card for several months now and it works well.

DLSS Quality at 1080p feels worse than the already far from ideal 1080p native. If you are used to 1080p then you may not notice that much of a difference.
