Can the RTX 3060 12GB version play games coming in 2030 at 1080p at the highest Ultra settings

Simple games like Hades = sure. If we are talking about demanding AAA games then no. Because the 3060 can't even handle 2024 games as we found out in my earlier video - czcams.com/video/qSNOjH9lzFE/video.html

Honestly, I think there are no good graphics cards priced below $500. RTX 3060 has good amount of memory but the GPU is already struggling to run the latest games in 2024 at 1080p on High/Very High settings. RTX 4060 has a massive problem because it has just 8GB of memory. 8GB is not enough to play some 2024 games at 1080p. And it makes Frame Generation technology unusable in these games because Frame Generation requires extra memory. Good NVIDIA graphics cards start at 4070 Ti SUPER which is much more expensive. With everything else below that you'll have to make some kind of compromise. That makes recommending something in that price range extremely difficult.
But if I had to choose between the 4060 and the 3060... I lean more towards choosing the 4060 purely because it performs better and as a result should last longer. But be aware that you'll have to lower some graphics settings in new games when using either one of these graphics cards.

I don't think the game developers intended it to run at 300+ FPS anyway🙂 But that is a good question. I'll test if I can get higher FPS with my i7 14700KF.
