I'm confused. Why are there replacement keyboard modules for sale online if they're not replaceable on their own? I just bought one without the palm rest assembly. Dell even sells the keyboard modules on their own without the palm rest. Are they truly not replaceable?

Mine stopped working a few days ago, finally I got the correct screwdriver. It is making a ticking noise when I plug in, like 5 ticks a second. It is not a battery problem, it is doing that even with a disconnected battery. I will try a different adapter/charger. Might be a motherboard issue I think. Is there anything I can do to try to repair it if the other charger does not work either? Not worth spending money in pc repair shop on a 10 years old notebook 😔

On CZcams there are only videos showing how to disassemble the bottom of these Samsung Chromebooks and not even one on how to disassemble the screen.

Hello there, I’d really appreciate if somebody explain me the difference between screens NV156FHM-N42 and NV156FHM-N43. I closed the cap and didn’t noticed the headphone laying on a keyboard (classic mistake) Im literally abroad and can’t unscrew the screen to see my series. My laptop is ASUS ROG Strix GL553VD FY047T. I need to order a new screen and replace it as soon as I get home.

decided to give more life to my 8 yo laptop... tbh i decided not to do the full disassemble for the 64 gb and just stuck with adding 16 more for 32 and a 2tb nvme. might upgrade 1tb sata hdd to 2 tb ssd later. not going to risk a full breakdown.

I reset this laptop and it was working fine, albeit a little slow. I installed windows 11 on it and it wouldn’t restart, showing problems with the C drive that it couldn’t fix. I ran it through Eurosoft PC Check and it showed that the motherboard and CPU had failed and that there was no hard drive present. I’ve taken the hard drive out and hooked it up to another pc and it’s working fine. Very odd.

There is some 2 screw at the top that don't come out and just keep spinning what can I do??

Mine is stuck at Windows Auto Repair and when i tried to reimage, it hangs. Even the BIOS runs slow, specifically when saving settings.

Ive torn it all down, cleaned it up, vacuumed it, washed it, pressure cooked it, 360 backflipped it and put it back together and now the cooler does MORE noise XD. Time to get a new one ffs
