Thanks for this, managed to clean out my fans on my now 5-year old laptop, much quieter now lol 🤣
this is exactly what i needed been trying to figure out what m.2 i needed to upgrade my storage
Thanks to this video I was able to fix the malfunctioning wifi antenna of my laptop. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍😊😊😊
Thanks Sellbroke. I have the 17" version and need to replace the keyboard, man what a pain it looks like but thanks for the step-by-step. I'll edit this post to say if I'm successful.
awesome! full disassemble
Looking everywhere for this, thanks boiiiiiiiiii
Hi, great video. I have this model and broke the webcam/screen connector on the motherboard side. I can get a replacement cable, but you showed that the screen is stuck to the top lid.
Can the webcam cable be worked loose and pulled through behind the screen, or is it clipped/glued in place and would require the screen being completely disassembled.
It'd be a BIG help if you could find this out, thanks.
Quality Content bro!
Thanks for the knowledge Sir! I have a question, I have the Fx504GE EN335T. I already scrued the Display hinges. I am wondering if i could fit the fx504 into a fx505 chassis with fx505 display. i've seen your video about Fx504 also and could find any drastic difference by looking it. Although I'm not sure about display and other connectors but it seems that we could inter change them. Can you please help me Sir? It would be a great help. Thank you.
I have the screws out but they've been out so long, I can't remember where the longer ones go.
Thanks for video
Highly recommend this video if you have this laptop.
Would I need to reapply thermal paste if I replace my fans?
Bro when u touched and removed that Lcd connector you did not remove the battery connector, mine with same unit i forgot to remove the battery connector when i touched that Lcd flex connector it smoke and got burned. Its very important to have that bracelet :( :( :(
Hello I had same type with yours but there is a problem with mine. When I turn it on, its lights, fan, machine is on but the monitor is off. But that just for few seconds then the laptop (lights, machine, fans) turn off again by it self.
Sometimes it can normally ON and last up to 5 hrs. Do you have any idea what kind of problem that I have here? Your answer will be very helpful. Thank you!
Thx mate.
Do you know where I can get replacement screws? Because one slipped on the floor, and I destroyed it with my chair.
Thanks for the video, I've got to replace the fans on my fiancé's laptop! Since I need to remove the heatsink to replace the fans, do I have to replace the thermal paste, or can I just leave what was originally there?
I think its best to replace the thermal paste because if the laptop has some life to it the thermal paste is probably turned into thermal chalk
Do you know how to easily put back the LED Keyboard into its socket? The smaller one. Its too tight on mine it cant go any further
Someone know the model of the screen to get an adapter? My laptop died and I wanto to salvage the monitor f9r my desktop pc.
hi dude how do i gonna return the back panel of my laptop
Hi, I have a similar laptop, I just have done taking the top bottom cover off, and unsrewed the cpu’s cooling fan, cleaned it with q-tips, and did some rough brushing on top of the motherboard, now that when I re-assembled everything back, all USB ports stopped working, other ports like hdmi, audio are still functioning as they should, may you tell me what may have gone wrong? Appreciate it!!!
I would try reinstalling your USB controller (thru Device Manager). It's possible you zapped it with some static electricity but try reinstalling the controller software first.
I tried this to repaste and 3 of the screws on the heat sink are stripped at the top and won’t come out. I’ve tried every method I can think of to get them out. Any suggestions?
Hi. I have an Asus fx705d and there's something in the middle of the back cover that I can't get out to open it. Like a screw or something . What do I do?
Is the bluetooth module part of the wifi module?
Hey SellBroke, recently one of my fans has become very loud and sounds like something has come loose. I'm wanting to replace it with a new fan but I'm unsure which fan I need to buy. Could you tell me which fan you pulled out at 16:24, please? This the is fan that is causing the issue.
Thanks for the helpful video.
That's the GPU fan. You will need the part number off that sticker to find a correct replacement.
@Rowan Wain check aliexpress. Find the FCN fan. You will have to match it with your fan model. I have ordered mine, hopefully will come next month.
You should include more light in your videos
So I had gotten some information that said most laptops have their gpu's soldered to the board and are NOT replaceable. ...is this true? I would love to be able to upgrade the gpu on mine when it's time is up rather than buy a whole new laptop. ...thoughts?
My fan is not working after cleaning, does someone knows what happened?
Why all the screws? Mine is working just fine without them. Cover snaps on and off, saved them in case the snaps get tired one day.
can you please explain how to dissassemble the fan so that i can clean the insides ... i cant seem to figure out how to do it .. Thanks !
Some of them you cannot open like that, these may be an example. Its better to bush what you can from the blades from the openings then blast it in short spurts with canned air.
Sadly these fans can't be opened, but they are super easy to replace. I found a seller on ebay who does both the GPU and CPU fans (together or separately) as my CPU fan motor was making an awful noise.

@@SolarMechanic it's easy to open, I did it few times, if you still dont know how to open fans, text me and I will give you link to video
anyone know where the gpu is?
where PCB for Power button ?
Hey ok, a little yogurt juice seeped its way into the top vent on top of the keyboard, I'm trying to open it and clean it. Nothing got to the bottom or the bottom cover, I can't really see anything, is the only way to remove the motherboard to remove everything like you did? Btw stupidly I was unplugging everything, and when it got to the small blue ribbon to the right of the fat blue ribbon under the ram slot, the tiny black clip popped off that I think covers the slot. Is that destroyed, what is that for? Is it still unpluggable? I could send a pic
Yeah going to need a pic.
@@Sellbrokedotcom here you go. i.ibb.co/dmjYK6y/20201013-172755.jpg. also to clean top of motherboard do I have to remove everything. What about thermal paste
Any response? Before I remove everything
@@Person22333 That looks to be for the touchpad. The ribbon could probably be held in place with some tape if the clip is gone. Just make sure to push it all the way in before applying the tape.
@@Sellbrokedotcom yeah TouchPad not working. I'll try tape. Where should it go
Do I have to remove everything to change thermal paste?
可以先只將電池排線移除,之後再移除散熱模具即可。不需要將全部移除
I just did that. Before anything else, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. You dont want to fry your laptop! Unscrew the screws that hold the heatsink to the motherboard, and gently remove the heatsink. It should come off. Take pictures of the heatsink before cleaning off the residue, so youll know where to put the new thermal paste. Good luck!
where is wifi NIC?
It may be a dumb question, but which fan cools the GPU and which one cools the CPU, wanna know if mine are working properly
If you have the laptop right-side up; CPU fan is on the left, GPU is on the right.
If you've flipped it over and opened it up; CPU's on the right, GPU on the left.
@@SolarMechanic thanks man
@@ioan9040 No worries, just got done replacing mine.
@@SolarMechanic was hard to upgrade? I opened it cuz the fan was making weird noises and fixed it
@@ioan9040 If you follow the steps in this or any other video it's easy enough. The only thing to remember is to carefully unclip the video cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. It's just below the CPU fan and is routed around it, so you HAVE to unplug it if you want to remove the fan.
Where is the Wireless module? Can it be replaced? I have the TUF505DU and the wireless is terrible, constant dropouts and latency when gaming and I'm sitting right next to my wireless Router! When I connect via Ethernet there are no issues. Let me know if the Wireless module can be replaced.
It's the square thing he removed under the M.2 SSD
Edit: at 5:42
@@monkas26 Yeah thanks man. Replaced it ages ago with a Wifi 6 card.
Since the upgrade, no more wifi dropouts and much more stable connection and ping.
@@nspnutritionsportsperforma6804 I'm going to do it too. The one I have is realtek 8822be and it is so broken. Can't connect to 5ghz despite Realtek website claiming so. Adapter straight up stops working after waking the laptop from sleep mode so I have to restart it. And some times it just randomly decides to not work
@@monkas26 I put in a Intel AX200NGW Wi-Fi 6 11AX WiFi card
Works perfectly
13:40 just so everybody knows, it is possible to remove that fan without removing heatpipe. I managed to do that without breaking a computer.
How?
@@Jordan-er9bx just carefully littlebit bending and lifting up motherboard and then you can slip in the fan. Not easy, but very possible. Do not use excessive force. But only littlebit you can bend it. Don't forget to remove all screws holding motherboard etc. 2 weeks later my computer is still working.
What are you wearing on your wrist?
Believe it's a grounding cable, so he doesn't short sensitive components
Hello,
if Asus your laptop ever broke, and if it's main board ( motherboard ) is fine, Please Sell me. I'm in Maldives, my Asus tuf fx505dt is dead, and there is no Asus Service Center here in the Maldives. Hence I'm looking to repair the laptop myself.
where the hack is the graphic card?
Its integrated into the motherboard just like the CPU.
