- One of my laptop's fans wasn't working so I decided to open it up and clean it. I took this opportunity to install an additional 8GB DDR4 RAM too. You can put your questions in the comments section and I will try to answer whatever I know. Also, a few people told me to disconnect the battery. I didn't do this in the video but please be sure to do it.
The songs used in the video are not mine. I have added the links to the songs

I had by mistake not installed the ram correctly and due to which the os didn't boot up, man your calm voice and composed video help me pick up my mind, thank you for that , may you have all the joys in life .
At last, someone giving instructions & tutorial in English.
Thank you so much.
Really appreciate it.
U have helped so many of us by making this detailed video thankyou so much
Yayyy bhaii!!! Nice informative video! Great editing too ❤
So many wrong things
1st: Disconnect battery first
2nd: Use any plastic /spatula to pry off the wires. You could have damaged the mobo with the metal screw driver
3rd: Remove heatsink first before the fans, DO NOT SLIDE IT the copper heat sink/pipes are very malleable and with MODERATE preassure it might bent permanently.
will keep this in mind thank you
@@hs6389 BUT still it was very helpful THANKS😁
this guy is indian so imma trust him
any tips on how to remove the heatsink?
@@zingodongo bruh really?
Shashank tech tips, has a nice ring to it ;)
Thank you. Wasn't sure what to do with the heat sinks. This is actually a good design, some laptops you need to take everything out befor getting near the fans!
Nice work da!💯
For me it's like watching horror movie
I am neither a youtube professional nor an expert in laptop repair. Made this because I faced a lot of problems searching for information regarding my laptop repair. Regardless your feedback is appreciated.
thank you so much I cleaned my fans it feels good
hi,for the left cooler, you were able to remove the fan?I tryied for my laptop so i can clean it properly but it just doesn t come off
@@yoru0677 i tried pulling it out slowly by lifting the cooling thing and you have to unscrew it from all sides, it worked for me.
Great help man! Thanks 👍
for the left cooler, the fan is removeble?I tried with mine and it doesn t come off
Thank you I was dealing with my Asus Laptop fans making a loud grinding noise and after popping open the laptop it was the fans dirty and so I did a little of cleaning so hopefully it'll run quietly
Thanks bro! 👍👏👏
Hi I have a question can we change the processor on ASUS TUF FX504 ?
Hello sir when I removed the fan panel and put it back again, the fan panel was not connecting or unable to attach
Nice video mate. My machine is not holding charge for more than 2-2.5 hrs. I don't play any games and its a 2 year old machine. Any idea how I can improve the battery backup? How much it would cost if replacing it is the best option?
I am no expert but that kind of backup is actually pretty normal. Mine is also 2 years. On very light use it last 2+hours. For extending life, I good thing you can do is to clean out your fans and close all applications running in the background which you are not using.
Generally that's the case with all laptops usually
If u want to still get a better battery life then decrease ur frame rate of the laptop screen and yaa background apps running UNCESSARILY
Thanks man that helped.
Although, I must add that everyone should unscrew the heat sink its like 4 bolts and that way u want bend it like I just did .
Its minor and it will go back down, well it did as I screw the cover back on.
Just safer way to do it in my opinion.
I also unplugged the battery , and that "big " white connector u said not to unplug I had to as those wires were covering up one of the screws for the right fan and I didnt want to "pry " it away. Everything on this so small and I am sure easy to break...
All the best.
The video helped me, to finally do it, as it actually only took less than 20 min.
That was my very first try of opening and fixing a laptop and many people berated me for how wrong i was (which i agree). But kind messages like yours helped me and am over those rookie mistakes.
Can I add an extra ssd drive to this laptop?
After I clean it my screen have slight problem can u help me
I don't want to void my waranty but I need to clean it from dust. Can I use compressed air to clean it without openning the laptop? Thanks for the informative video bro!
Check with your retailer but in my country if you remove the back panel then you wont have the warranty
Can I use this as reference for fx706?
How is the hinge working out for you? I just broke mine from both sides a few weeks ago. Apparently most of the TUF FX504 users have this issue..
Working good brother. I had heard about the hinge before so I was careful
@@hs6389 Lucky..! I had no clue about this and now I messed up pretty bad. I hope Asus service will be able to help because I'm out of warranty.
@@tibzbit I had the hinge issues. I fixed it 2 times from service center. U can fix it from home too just search some videos. Have a nice day
I took care of my laptop and hinge and it STILL broke. Just bad design overall.
Can we install ssd nvme there?
Damnn bro, Sick imma try it now XD.
can you remove the left fan with the same method? i've stripped one of the heatpipe screw in the middle, so there's no way i can remove the heatpipe
No need to remove the heat pipe. For the left one, there are 3 screws. One is on the right-hand side while the other 2 are on the left-hand side (above and below the black tape.) Remove those and you are good to go.
I had the same issue (as others from what i see) regarding the stripped screw, how did you solve it?
i simply unscrew the fan screw, and simply lift the heatsink pipe then slide the fan outside, just like the video@@matteomangone1655
Can you please tell where is wifi slot
I didn't understand how to remove the grey panel from the panel 🙄
What was your ram called can you put a link
UH FOGOT TO DISCONNECT BATTERY IT MAY CAUSE SHORT CIRCUIT
Thank you
Hello, my fx504ge laptop cpu heatshink screw head striped, So, I need new screw but idk size of screw can you tell me what is the size of small screw so I can buy.
Hi, same issue here, how did you solve the stripped screw?
thanks man
Thanks bhai
Can u pls show how to remove that battery pls!! I need to remove it for BIOS reset😭🙏
Waha ek six pin type ka cable hoga. Usko nikaal do.
💯💯💯
i cant able to control the fan speed when I press the function f5 key
Same problem
I have mistakenly bent the socket pin in which GPU fan connects and now GPu fans isn’t working what should I do now ?

Does cleaning fans void warranty of laptop.... Please answer
As far as I remember, if you open the back cover you are no longer under the warranty
How often should I clean the laptop ?
I felt that the air coming out was quite less than it was when it was new. So I cleaned it. I did it after 1.5 years. I am not an expert here but probably 1 year should do if your laptop is only in your house. If you travel a lot then the period decreases.
@@hs6389 Thank youu
I have same laptop i want to upgrade ram which is best
You can go with adata. Just check if it is compatible.
Been 2 years with this laptop and now the temps reach 95 degrees should I clean it? Does the anti dust cooling system even work?
I wouldn't trust the anti-dust cooling. My system was much cooler after I cleaned it.
@@hs6389 bro I cleaned it after watching your video, couldn't believe the CPI side fan was so much dirty, the dirt was stuck like clay, used tootpick to get it off and now my laptop is 15 degrees cooler. Tumbs up for your tutorial!
@@aniketkumar5089 Same brother my laptop was a mess. So much dust. Glad I could help.
Been months and this video is still my go-to, my laptop's model is different but pretty similar. Great job dude, wish to see more from you. Much love
So glad that it helped people. I found it so difficult to search for my laptop's guide.
Bhai mujhe ye bata iss laptop mein hum m.2 nvme ssd laga sakte hai kya ye support karega .. . Like Samsung nvme

Maybe dumb question, but where is GPU?
Its under that heat pipe
How's the hinge holding up?
Pretty good. Hasn't given me any issue

No Paisa :)
does opening it and cleaning and adding ram void warranty
I am not very sure but i read somewhere that you lose your warranty when you open the back cover that is why i did mine when warranty was over. Not sure. Better to double check
Yes. The moment you open the back, the warranty is void according to Asus. But if you leave no clues that you opened it, they can't know. I not only opened it but also meddled with a lot of connections and the cmos battery and when I RMA'd it, it was still under warranty.
You are Lucky bro!!, Next time remove your battery wire
I did make sure to drain the battery completely but yeah I need to be careful.
Which one is the battery wire?
@@tushartyagi1762 the middle one, who Have 6 small cable
@@hs6389 Even if you drain the battery it will still have some power left in it. Make sure to remove it next time.
Would suggest not putting obnoxious background music in your video.
How to clean your faaans
how about the other fan? the right side one
You mean the left side? I removed the right side fan in the video.
@@hs6389 oh sorry, ya left side
@@andiadriansyahrasyid9881 remove those 3 screws. There is a plastic part which goes under the heat pipe. Carefully lift the heat pipe and slide that plastic part out. It's much easier to remove this compare to the right side.
@@hs6389 ok thanks bro
My fan is not working after cleaning, does someone knows what happened?
Did you connect the fans properly
@@hs6389 yup everything is connected , it starts ass soon as i plug my charger in. even in high performance setting it wont turn on the fans untill i plug the chargers
@@diamondtols8899 broo you always need to plug a charger for a fan
My left fan is noisy and vibrating a lot
Same. I think it is because of the design. Just check if you don't have anything stuck there.
Ok,ok and the other one :)) ?
Great video. I have same laptop. I did unboxing videos if you want check them out
