I have an LG Classic which I bought around '96-'97 no problems, however I have roughly 30yrs of experience in the fire service - on ladders up to 110' , and was certified by the state of Fl. and Orange County as an instructor. There are several whom posted immediately below me that address your incident and to their statements I'll add; your climbing was pretty good (especially after your fall) right up to the point at which you leaned forward, then there are numerous errors. You should have at least three rungs above your roof contact point, they serve as a point for you to have a safe control when you depart the ladder. No water, or other substances which could cause you to slip. I saw that you added a stop point (2x4) at the base to stop slippage, but that is not the best thing to do; we have a function referred to as a "butt-man" whose sole function is to stand on the inner aspect of the ladder, between the ground contact and the building holding the ladder while it is being climbed (though I doubt this would have helped you in your demonstrated maneuver, as your weight and leverage would have probably given the same results. I'm sorry for your incident. Many people work around equipment without appreciating the total scope (and I didn't cover all of that here); I've seen death from falling 8' at a construction site, slip and fall in a shower, we even had a firefighter fall 30' during training and it was determined it was due to the slick bottom boots which were worn. I wish you the best of luck and hope your recovery goes well. The fall may have occurred even with a straight ladder but it would have been much less likely; and those straight ladders are far less versatile.
How about using a little giant wingspan for added safety ?
thank you for the idea I'm planning to do it on my landscaping trailer and to keep the battery change adding a small solar panel
Perfect!
How deep will it pick up? Your right on top of coin in these videos
Absolutely BRILLIANT video. You just gave me a new machine. I have an Etrac but avoid using it because of this iron masking of targets. THANK YOU!.
Go tear it up now! Get that SILVER!
11yrs and still etrac are still singing among newer detectors. just pick up mine after almost 10 yrs letting go of my Explorer SE Pro. before that, etrac was way too much of my league because of the price but now you can have 'em around 500 bucks yet its capabilities are still competing among newer units. now, swinging slow and low is back! etrac's tone is just so sweet with silver i can't replicate it with the Nox 900. i hunt with tones and not with numbers or icons.
Yep Black with Red ribbons!
That's right! LOL.
Awesome video can you share the settings? thanks
I wish I could just post a photo. Really all I did was discriminate 34 down leaving mid and high conductors open. General mode. Sensitivity at 8. Prospecting mode. GB at 0. No need to GB on such a low power setting. Upper and lower ferrous set at 15 all the way across. The ring hit at a solid 60 every sweep.
How many recoveries have you done where you couldn’t find the ring and aborted the mission?
Probably 25 or so. I don't go on every ring search. People call me and say things like - "I lost my ring between Walmart, Pharmacy and my house" or "We're not sure where we lost the ring?" I mean my time is valuable. I can't be looking for 3 days on the side of the road and in the Quicktrip restrooms. Sometimes it's best to just come to terms your ring is gone forever.
I can’t wait to retire and become a ring finder! Love watching these vids!
Go for it!

36:52 .. IDK if this has been gone over so apologies if I am repeating the obvious :) When both tires spin you're supposed to lightly apply the breaks with your left foot while accelerating. this will lock up the Truetrac. My truck has handbrake on the dash so I just put it on a bit with my right hand while accelerating a bit.
If one wheel is spinning you then tap the brakes and both wheels pull. I found that this is not needed as much as you think. Really I never had to do it. I think in rare cases you would need this.
And now is a good time to sell the Vanquish 540 and purchase the new XTerra Elite…. Onward and upward !
I already sold the 540 to help pay for the Manticore. But the XTE looks awesome!
I'm not a fan of the huge stock coils ML and Nokta are using.
@@mowerdog Depending on the dealer, you can ask for a partial credit to swap out for an optional coil that you prefer at time of purchase. Some dealers accomadate this. I like smaller coils for trashy areas..
@@mowerdog Great choice, I love the Manticore! I borrowed one for about a month and half from a friend and had alot of success with it over areas I had previously detected and didn’t find what the Manticore did. Up until a few weeks ago my choice for a higher end detector was between the Mantcore and the Deus II, but I am waiting to see what Garrett offers with it’s new Vortex detectors from their announced Storm series.
Damn….awesome addition! 👏
Thank you!
Can yu tell me what type of white cap you have on your predator digging tool,it seems would make it easier on the palm of the hand compaired to the reg foam handle which i have trouble with after using for a while bothering my hand..
It's a walking caane end cap . I found it at my local hardware store. But find a fenger washer to install over the end of the handle before you slide it on. The sharp handle will cut through the rubber. I had to trim some foam some to make it fit.
Thank you. It worked!
Awesome!
I’ve used ladders most of my career.. 25+yrs. Fk these ladders! My asshole boss wanted me to use one of these next to power lines and all the way extended with a single run above the gutter.. mind you I’m 230lbs and with the compressor or bag of tools 300+ fk that!!!!! All over the place.. no grip on the feet..bouncing as hell..I’ll stick with a regular extension ladder!! 🖕🏻🫵🏻 boss man!
Exactly. I've never had an issue with a regular extension ladder in my 35 years of contracting. Don't risk your life!

Thanks for posting this. It's a good safety tip for people new to multi-purpose ladders.
Glad it was helpful!
Toda vez que mudar a frequência, há necessidade de fazer um novo balanço de solo.
O terreno não tem resistência, por isso que pega fundo, sem falar da bobina de 12"
Could use the 7 pin harness to charge the battery. Or mount a vevor 36" tool box on the wheel we'll and place a small solar panel. I'm about to do something similar. Building the ramp out about 12-16" to hold pressure washing surface cleaners and a sign. The gate will only have to drop down 90° but there's going to be double the weight.
Oddly the battery will run the whole season on one charge. So I don't have a reason to connect a charging system. I use it once every two weeks though. Only 6 cycles per use.
I was Geocaching on a Sunday afternoon looking for a hide on a rock wall. A lady stopped on the trail and was watching me several minutes. I turned to her and ask if she wanted to help me. She ask what I was doing. I replied that I lost a snake at church this morning and the preacher said I could not come back to church until I found a replacement. She said OMG not my church and ran off down the trail.
LOL. Well I think my Ghost lady was also curious. Or maybe she just couldn't take her eyes off of me! LOL
I still want a NEW E-trac. Let's call it the E-trac Lighting. Ferrous and non ferrous readout. Water proof. Fast. Light. Same tones. Same settings + a few new ones. Minelab would make a killing.
I couldn't agree more! I would be second in line.....
#noktascore3 Nokta is releasing the Score3/Triple Score Pro pack in a couple weeks. It comes with two coils, headphones, and other goodies. Also has a new Relic mode. It's like having a Legend but with less weight also. czcams.com/users/liveFBuaJ6qA34w?feature=shared

Thank you for sharing this; it will remind users to practice this common-sense caution. While I don't think any material defect was responsible for your injury, your information is a valuable reminder to your viewers.
*NOT a "ladder flaw." This is CLEARLY USER ERROR and lack of understanding how a fulcrum works. If you put your weight over (past) the fulcrum the feet will kick out on ANY ladder. **_LEARN TO USE A LADDER PROPERLY!_*
If the joint was tight, it would never happened. Put your ladder up and step on your roof without putting weight at the top of the ladder.
I’m a Home Automation Pro and go up the ladder often. Has never happened.
The exact incident you describe has always been warned against in Little Giant's instructions: You *never* push on the top of a ladder extending over a roof. You tie off and stake your ladder. Didn't you read the warnings on ANY ladder? Look and learn: pdf.lowes.com/productdocuments/0250351a-cfe9-4c4c-92d0-b5fae86e8907/62644771.pdf
How do you step onto the roof without putting some weight on the ladder above the gutter line? I never had this problem with other types of ladders. But, I'm going to go back and read the instructions again. I don't recall it saying that.
Just read the safety literature. Nothing is said about leaning on the top. #19 under the leaning ladder set-up says to extend the ladder 1 meter above the ladders' landing point if you're using it to get to a higher area. This is what I did. If you find something different about the Little Giant, please point me to it.
@@mowerdog Read "Straight Ladder Mode" on the below product label: pdf.lowes.com/productdocuments/0250351a-cfe9-4c4c-92d0-b5fae86e8907/62644771.pdf

Shouldn't be chatting in mtifrequency mode.
Multi is chatty on most machines with high emi. Single is quiet in most cases.
One thing I like about my Manticore is the coil bolt that has no nut and washers. It's convenient enough that I no longer have to buy an extra lower shaft just to make coil changes easier. Otherwise your points are right on target.

New owner of a 2007 Sorento, 3.8L V6 here. I'm facing an issue with the 4wd modes. Indeed I took it off roads this weekend and I noticed that only the rear wheels where spinning when I got bogged. Then I noticed that the diff lock light wasn't on when the 4x4LO mode was on, whereas it's on when the 4x4HI is on. When I turn the 4Hi mode on I can hear a "clunk" meaning that the front train is engaged, and the light turns on, BUT I also hear it when going from the Hi mode to Lo mode which makes me believe that it's disengaging the front train and the light turns off... Does anyone have an idea of what the issue is and how to fix it?
You'll hear a noise in the transfer case when working. I'm going to say it's either the air pump and or the front differential bellow. It sounds like it's going to be expensive.
@@mowerdog I hear a noise when I engage the high range mode but also when I turn the low range mode as it disengages.
Deus 2 is also up there to be honest, had the Manticore but went back to Deus 2 as finds rate went down, Nothing on the market can touch the Deus 2 in Iron Period...
Manticore more universal detector for all applications. Unlike Etrac. We all know what Etrac’s strong suit is. But some countries don’t have the higher conductive coins as we do. Those hammered coins in Europe. Manticore slays. How would Etrac do on them? Hmmm I have my suspicions. IDK exactly. I do know one feels good and the other is a TANK.
Good points TNS. You're use of the word "universal" is dead on. I used the etrac so long that "I thought" I missed it?.. But in reality the Manticore is a much better machine. BTW - I'm still butt hurt about the $500 discount! LOL. I enjoy and learn from your videos. Thank you for coming here with your wisdom.
