I enjoy hunting football fields. I dug over $50 in clad in 6 hours one day. $47.50 in quarters. Most of it came from the two infields behind the goal post. Because of the turf I didn't dig anything on the field. 3 trips over $100... Nice to have you back in action...
That’s the thing I remember from my Equinox. The sensitivity didn’t seem to get much lower than halfway ish. Way too much power to the coil even when turned to 1. Always keep a Tesoro on hand for those 3” max depth situations. The analog gain always comes in handy for dialing it down! As for the Vanquish……. I sold my Equinox after having the Vanquish 340 in the van for a few months. Amazing power and performance for a sub $200 machine!!!
Unless I'm running in low conductor mode on the Manticore the Vanquish is about as good as the Manticore. It is perhaps the most underrated machine out there.
@@mowerdogHave you tried the X-Terra Pro Yet ???? And it's only $269. And I have to lower the sensitivity on it to, Way to much power and I'm at 12 Sensitivity and still getting Targets that are in the 4-6 inches deep and it's a Game Changer Detector for the Beginner's Budget Price Range but it has ALOT of program that I'm getting Use to and the Simplex + doesn't have AND THE SIMPLEX is out of The Updates and that's one of the main reasons I got the X-Terra Pro is the Ability to use the Horseshoe Button and just a single push to get to the All Metal Mode and the Simplex + it's a 5 button push to get there and I would have to stop to do it and after awhile I would just stop using it for anything And the New Simplex Ultra is a 6 button push from Field 1 but now that I have the X-Terra Pro it's just Great to have the Ability to Check Out the Target Quickly with 1 Button Push.......
@@mowerdog The manufacturers have the design on shafts all wrong these days. How did the S shaft ever go out of style anyway. Sure it is nice to be able to shorten your detector down to 25" in just a couple seconds with a straigt shaft, but makes the ergonomics of swinging a straight shaft vary awkward to swing. S shafts are the way to go.😃

You hunted the artificial turf?
@@mowerdog No is was Bermuda grass. Probably harder to dig in. 🤣
@@mowerdog The areas in the infields were normal grass.
Welcome back Mowerdog! Vanquish would be cool!
Yeah. I miss it

@@carolrice2063 I thought about selling my vanquish to buy the xpro.
❤
Hey, they're your detectors - use whatever you want.
You're right
Yes to vanquish 👍
Sounds good
The straight shaft design not a comfortable swing at all. I would like to see a Tesoro out there, Lets go retro!! Nice video man!!
I had some of the most fun in the tot lots with my Compadre. I sold all my old school machines. I'll need to watch ebay for another one.... take care
@@mowerdogTesoro's are so comfortable to swing. I think there is going to be a revival of analog detectors in the next 2 years.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak You got that right. A close second to ease of sweep was my F19. Long live the S shaft!

Headbands look kind of dorkey but they work.
I used to have a sponge headband. Maybe it's time for another....
