I had figured you, and dirtfishing would have already figured the machines you have out! lol I am learning a lot from you on the Manticore! Dirtfishing done a informative video on the White's Spectra V3i on discrimination e.g., notching out VDI (Visual Discrimination Indication numbers) also on the icons. Likewise, he done a good video on the Equinox 800, and lately on the Legend. I appreciate the videos both of you have out! Quite informative!
@@mowerdog I have learned a lot from dirtfishing through the years. I believe you and him may have another comparison video soon? Many watch both of you and learn.
I'm waiting for my Manicore. Most curious in what the new "Depth" sound mode will do for finding the deeper targets, and avoid surface items. Enjoyed your video as always...
You can hear faint targets better with depth or prospecting theme. But you loose the different target tones. I think you still need to work your way down through layers. However it can see between trash and give an indication something is between or below.
I had pre ordered Sept 1st through a big dealer. After 4 months I found out a small kind of local dealer had 2 in stock. I bought one and got a refund on my pre order. I would just call around.
That soil has been amended by cover crop. The roots are deep most likely annual rye grass. It quite often goes to 40" deep. You have learned the Manticore quite well. Dirtfishing watches you operate the Manticore and the Raptor 31(c) he will get one! lol I believe the Manticore is in 1st place at this time. The 2D feature will be hard to outperform by others. I am debating which one if any I will add to my arsenal. Thanks for the video. I subscribed!
Dirtfishing loves his deus 2. I'm really liking the Manticore each time I hunt. I'm right now on a football field looking for a lost gold cross. I'm digging solid coin hits at 8-10 inches with the sensitivity at 18.
It's just sensitive to all targets under the coil. When I get jumpy tid's you can see multiple dots and crap on the screen. Some you can barely see. Also having a full 99 conductive tid there is going to be some jumping compared to a detector that has 40, 20 or even 12 notch numbers. Some machines have 99 target id slots but the lower 40 or so is iron which in most cases is discriminated out. This leaves 60 no ferrous slots. The Manticore uses all 99.
Thanks again for vids.
No problem. I enjoy making them....

I learn more and more every hunt.

You're killing it!
I'm getting there. Lol.

Dirtfishing is quite adept at metal detecting. I enjoy watching his videos! Thanks for the reply!
@@donaldlee6699 Thanks for watching my videos!
That’s some sexy soft soil right there……..
Lol. Yes it is
Have you been getting alot of iron targets up as a good target on the Manticore ?
Nope.
Are you able to hunt year round without frozen soil in your area?
No. There are lots of times the ground is frozen.
Got to say I do not really like the bouncing ID.

VERY OVERPRICED
The etrac was the same price 14 years ago. Overall the m is better than the e.
