You can catch bluegill in the pond all day long on pieces of Slim Jim and the smallest hook you can find.

light line = more hookups including larger fish. Shorter rods help with mobility and overhanging brush/limbs. I'm using 4# mono on a 5 foot rod in the local streams. Hardly ever use more that 8# test but that requires slightly larger rod/reel combo too. The lighter you can get away with, the better.

Glad to see you are putting those spinners to work Wes. Don't be afraid to retrieve them a little faster if necessary. Bummer about the line twist but somewhat of a given with these baits without a swivel. Thinking about including those in packages for folks in the near future. For what it's worth I notice less issue there with braid. Looking forward to your thoughts on them after having some time to form an opinion. Hope you catch something special.

Can u tell why I can’t get a trail behind boat icon in chart mode… I have no problem when I record a trail… my older lowrance hook always left a trail without recoding.. I have hds live 7 @ also can’t change my sonar color palettes… Do I have settings that shouldn’t be on or off? Thx for any help is appreciated

I used the Hook TS for 3 yrs which was plagued with problems and was finally replaced with the Eagle and can definitely say that the 2D sonar is heads and tails better on the Eagle over the Hook. Both DI and Side Scan is 10x clearer with much better resolution and this was straight out of the box with no changes to settings.

Been running the 7’TS for the last 2months and it’s night and day better than the Hook series.

Hey buddy, i am interested in your opinion on how much better of a unit the Eagle is vs. the Hook2. You can purchase a Hook2 9" for $499 or the new Eagle 9" for $699. Do you think its worth the extra $200 for the eagle? They both have the down and side scan features.

Please can you do Raymarine Element 7 HV with the Lowrance Engle 7 tripleshot, at some point over the next 9-10 months? I'd really appreciate this as I should be getting a new Stealth kayak & want something to go with it. I note the graphics on a Raymarine Dragonfly (on one of my kayaks) are better than anything else I've tried up to now.

I’ve been using one of these spinning rods in saltwater now for over a year and haven’t seen any corrosion. I personally really like it as a good general purpose inshore rod, especially in my kayak where the lightweight helps a lot. I’ve caught plenty of upper slot Reds and a 26” Snook so far and definitely don’t feel underpowered during the fight

Having the sooner stoped is done for a reason. If you are installing the unit on your boat and it runs out of the water. It does weird things to the calibration on the transducer and people may think its broken when they get it into the water.

the "ice" fishing bundle is great it has ALL you need to use this, I bought one for my kayak cause its totaly portable

I feel like an affixed trolling motor with an relocated handle control and rudder will solve about 80 percent of the issues. Mount it to a bracket that lifts and all the problems will be solved tbh

There are two things I can promise when fishing a rooster tail bait. You are likely going to catch some type of fish. Everything likes the little inline spinner. Next, you are going to snag everything and get hung up. Wes, I think you are catching the fry your local DNR used to stock the lake. 😂
