Pros of the Orion 1000
It has an LCD screen and app where you can see how much battery you have left.
The app is pretty cool because it shows you the discharge rate and how many more hours you can run at that rate.
The double-handle design makes hauling it easier
The 100Ah battery lasted several trips without needing to be charged (Which should be the case).
The BMS has 20+ protections and warnings, from overheating to cold-temp shutoff. I have not tested them all, but I have used it in 30-degree temps all day without a problem.
Half the price of "Name Brand" Lithium Ion Batteries, but the warranty is only half as long at 5 years.
Even though it's half the price, it looks well-built and is not as cheap as most of the other cheap lithium Ion batteries on the market.
Cons of the GoldenMate Orion 1000
It is quite a bit heavier than other 100Ah Lithium Ion batteries I've used, but still lighter than an AGM or Lead-Acid.
The first one came damaged, but the box was fine. However, I don't know exactly when it was damaged, and the customer service quickly replaced it with a new one, no questions asked.
The Orion drains faster than my other 100Ah Lithium battery.
Would I buy it again?
Yes, I would buy it again, but I wish it were a little lighter.
