Raw Track Workout Training For a World Record | Murph
Today I did a track workout with a full 20lb weight vest on. I'm currently training to break the Murph world record. Today's workout was as follows:

Here's a cut and dry, no words video of what a typical day looks like 6 weeks out from my sub 2:30 marathon attempt. On Wednesday's I have an easy run in between my workouts on Tuesday/Thursday. In Today's video I did the famous Yasso 800s workout to try and predict my current marathon fitness. The idea of this workout is as follows: 1. Run 10 x 800m on the track 2. The rest in between reps is the same time as the rep itself 3. your time = your marathon prediction (2:30 800m = 2:30 marathon) enjoy! I also started training for the murph but no weight vest for me or WR. I'm 47 yo. Just doing it for fun.
What jelly brand would you recommend?
I am currently in the middle of doing the BSU challenge. I have been big into pushups for years. For example, I would do 210 pushups in about 8 minutes. The most I could do in a single time was 88 which isn't too bad for my age. So with that said, I am also 65 years old and about 195 lbs. This has been VERY humbling as I have not completed the challenge yet. I'm around 2:30 and fortunately, I have been seeing some gains lately. There have been times when I have stalled at the same time for days,. even gone backward a couple times. I redo the challenge every 2-4 days and eventually, I will get it. What I do is this and it seems to be helping. Do it the first time, then wait about 5-10 and do it two more times. I suspect I will complete it in July hopefully. 🙂If not I will keep pushing on. Oh and once I do beat it, I will keep doing and possibly shoot for 2x. Not sure I will ever make it but I'll try.

LMNT was a game changer for me. I lose a lot of salt when I sweat….added potassium and magnesium helped as well. Nothing seemed to hydrate me as much as the LMNT’s drink. I’ve tried so many hydrating drinks and always went back to my LMNT’s. 🥰

Maurten gels suck balls
music is the reason i go running it just gives me main character vibes and "paces my motivation" giving outbursts of energy while i'm at the lowest. What is more, i tend to lose my concentration and music helps me focus. And third i hate hearing my agonising lungs barely pushing me at 11km/h. Might be due to my questionning ability to run or just personnal preferences though
