- A story about the hardest training run I've ever done. I was psycho.
I started youtube about 2 year ago and now I'm here trying to improve as a runner, a human being, and a videographer/editor each and every day. Follow along on my journey if you like!

My craziest run wasn't far or torturous weather... But it was running 5k in my 1300 square ft house at the beginning of lockdown. Run down the hall, turn around, round the kitchen island, repeat. Hundreds of times. Also barefoot, so my calves basically locked up the next day. Good times 😄 nothing was going to break my streak!!
I’ve done that before. 1 hour around my house. I felt great during the run but my calves were destroyed. The skin under my feet also blistered up. I’ve done 1-2 mile cool downs barefoot on grass before so I was somewhat used to it
I once ran 20 miles on trails with a friend who was an elite runner (Im not) and we were cruising. Then he takes me to the track and tells me I need you to run the last 5k as fast as you can. My friend was just cheering me on as I ran a sub 20 min 5k. Mind you my PR at the time was around 18:45...
I was training for a 100k (in 2015), the Oxfam Trailwalker that you do in group of 4. We did half the distance and took us 10h30m, it was hard but mentally prepared us for the big challenge.
Hardest run ever - also in the pouring rain, 19 mile training run in technical trails I hadn’t expected would destroy my legs so completely. What a great memory though!!
sounds gnarly!!!
Loving these Elijah, excited for the rest of vlogmas :)
fair play, that requires some insane mental toughness. Liking these mini-vlogs btw!
Me too! So glad he decided to do vlogmas
Goggins new book is out. Absolutely incredible so far. First book changed my life.
i'm so stoked to read it!
Loving the regular videos mate your definitely giving the you tube game a go
i appreciate you making al the videos, im realizing having a little story to follow makes the video 💯
My first 20 miler was the worst run, I almost felt like quitting or changing my race to a shorter distance. Thanks to my partner for encouraging me to try another one, because then I realized my bad run was on a new route with little to no shade, more hills, one of the hottest days of my training cycle. No surprise it sucked.
Ran my first marathon this last Saturday. Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Poured down raining the entire time. Feet were raw after mile 16. Loved every second of it.
Once went for a nice run with my friend and it started raining and we were having such a fun time. But then the lightning started and it went from “oh this is just fun jumping in the puddles” to “I don’t want to die today” lol. And it was on an out and back so the rest of the run felt like we were all out sprinting
@@beearedee Thats how you make memories. Unless of course the lightning got you. And thank goodness it didn't. Sounded like a great time
Or the mankato minnesota half marathon I did this october because it went up and down super steep valley hills. The crowd cheering, other runners, and pretty fall leaves made for a great distraction though.
Started listening to Goggins new book today 🤘🏼
Two of my friends and I did a 40 miler down the San Gabriel riverbed trail finishing in Seal Beach. The farthest I had run before that was a half marathon lol.
My hardest run was the 1st time I ran to Mt. Baldy. I was just starting out as a trail runner, so pretty much made a lot of novice mistakes. This was last summer.
My craziest run was when I ran 50 miles without planning to, as a training run for my 1st 100k. This was a month ago.

These vlogs are sick!
Treadmill runs on my assault runner are always the toughest for me. It’s more of a mental challenge to run on the treadmill plus that type of treadmill is hardest that running outside because you have to propel it.
My hardest was actually during a race! It was my first trail race and it was only a 5 mile race. But I was on essentially a footpath that was about the width of a two balance beams. I was about 2 miles in and I landed wrong on my knee and it gave out.
This was just a couple weeks after tearing a ligament in my hand so luckily I didn’t fall! But I knew I had to keep going even another 3 miles even though every step was torture.
Luckily my knee was better within a couple days but it was a difficult finish both mentally and physically
@ 3:55. My toughest, most difficult run? Idk, I guess the toughest is whenever I run for over 2+ hours straight. So, I think the longest time I've gone for would've been either 2h 15m or 2h 30m. I always run in 15 mins. increments. I'm not sure how many miles I run in that time frame though.
Well, running in a smaller area is what works best on heavy rain days. You can stay near your home or car if the weather gets too out of hand. Do you wear a rain/wind proof jacket?
A childish Strava local legend battle with a friend caused me to run a triangular hill loop repeatedly until I hit 29km. Good times lol
My hardest run was probobly also a run in the pouring Rain in the dicret wind, a Hard one, but probobly now here near that hill. Keep up the great vlogs!
I ran 10miles around an apartment complex’s parking lot. I wasn’t even living there and it started raining halfway through!
0:21 Dang 120 pounds... how tall are you?! That is crazy fit AF.
Thanks awesome! 💪
My hardest run was doing that hill 66 times. 😁 Jk Elijah keep up these hard run vids because im sure you've done plenty of them and its good inspiration. My hardest run was actually probably on a horribly old and non lubricated treadmill because it made every step feel like running in deep sand.
Normal people do like 5 hill reps, Elijah does 65.
What are you motivated by during these hard runs? My own hatred and shame of myself (lolz) help me embrace the suck, but just wondering???
How tall are you?
The challenge for mental health may was to run 51.5k over the entire month for the 51.5 million Americans with mental illness. I forgot I signed up for this challenge and ended up running it all on the last day😅
how to run sub 7 on long runs: vlogmas day 7??
You're 120# right now? And, you're 5'7"? You lost some weight. You're getting really leaned out! I looked it up and the weight charts are saying you're anywhere from 1# underweight to #13 underweight. I think you look lean and fit, but I wouldn't guess that you're underweight. Are you and your gf both into running? How much does your gf weigh/height?
No that was 3 years ago
