For being hurt and not getting a lot of the training in, you did AWESOME. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished! Congrats and heal up fast!
A bike and a pacer feels like a dq
Man the mental toughness to run an entire marathon and a PR with an injury is crazy. Good job man!
So, lots to be impressed with about this...but jumping the fence after the end of the marathon...that's mindblowing, haha. Good job!
congrats! A PB is a PB. It's good to leave a marathon wanting something more, it'll bring you back. Good luck with the next cycle!
Much respect! The grit and determination is unmatched
Congrats on the PR! Such a shame with the injury, I've been dealing with it myself these past few weeks. Just really glad to have you back, can't wait for some more videos! Speedy recovery brother, your videos have helped me so much, you're the reason I started running back in 2021 😊🙏
Thanks for the constant support my man! Rest up my brother!
@@elijahorr Thank you, I'll always be happy to support you! You should do a video on how you rest and recover after running or an injury with food, stretching, ice bathing, etc.
Well done 👏… was waiting for this video
Great job, Elijah!
Congratulations on the PR!!! Looking forward to see what’s next for you :)
So freaking inspiring man. Thank you for inspiring me and a huge congratulations on the PR 🙌
Way to grind it out. Injuries have a cruel way of ruining our plans regardless of how prepared and guarded we against them. Literally watching this vid with my calf on a bag of ice.
I know the exact feeing dude. Wishing you a speedy recovery whatever it is
Heck of a video and recap! I'm glad you took the time you needed to digest the whole race and give some good insight on everything. Props on the PR man!
Nice work. Congrats on the PR. You'll definitely recover and come back stronger.
Congratulations on such an amazing result, well done!
CONGRATULATIONS on your PR against the odds!!!
Hell yeah dude, great race. Thank you for putting this out there, keep at it!
Well done sir! Been watching you for a while and it’s always cool to see the progressions.. Key to running is simply staying healthy. Keep at it brother!
Well done Elijah, superb time.
Congrats! Stay Healthy!
Congrats man! 100% you’ll get there next time, just bad timing with the injury. Next year is your year
Good job, Elijah! 🍊
Congratulations Elijah !! Plz do videos more often
ELIJAH this is so inspirationaly guy. I am also dealing with a small discomfort in the left outside part of my knee. after running the surf city half marathon a couple days ago I felt good and positive to keep training for the next race but the pain unfortunately came. I managed to get around 1:30 half which im so proud but know it makes me so sad not being able to run without that pain there. currently working on strengthening the body better to prevent these things. Videos like yours is what keeps me going. much love.
The editing keeps on getting better & better with each video. Congrats on your PR! Interested to learn more about your mindset/psychology leading up to the race during the injury
Awesome!!! Big congrats 🎉👍😎😁
Elijah Your videos are so inspiring. U have motivated me so much, more videos please!!!!!!! Im training for a sub 3:45 marathon. Nowhere close to u yet but i could barely run 3 miles 2 years ago!
All the
postive vibes
Congratulations on your PB! I am glad you are ok. I missed watching your videos. You are a very gifted runner. It is amazing how well you run. I can relate to your struggle. I ran the Houston Marathon on January 14th. Four days later, I went for an easy run and noticed pain in my right knee. It turns out that my patellar tendon was inflamed. I stopped running for a month to allow my body to heal. I really missed running. I learned that I needed to do strength training, more stretching, and biking to help strengthen my body. I was only doing running and some stretching before. I am now running again and slowly building up my mileage. I pray that you have a full healing. Take care.
Congrazz 🎉 you did a good job 🤘
Awesome race and awesome editing on the video!
Very impressive 👏 I ran the half that day and the headwind coming back on PCH was NO JOKE
Totally awesome my friend!! Now, take some well deserved down time and let your injury fully heal.
Inspirational well done 👏
Congrats on your PR 🎉
Congrats Elijah! Love this!
Appreciate it!!
Hell yeah, Elijah, you rock!
Keep grinding, my brother.
Cheers man! Keep the ball rolling always
This is fucking cool man, amazing achievment off the training you'd done. Truly inspirational stuff, I got pretty emotional watching this... I hope the recovery goes well brother
Great to see you back on CZcams! What’s next?
Epic Elijah 🎈
Excited for more videos
Awe inspiring ❤
Wow! An inspiration in perseverance I would say! 💪
I am no doctor but I have had similar pains and numbness on my right side (hip, knee, calve). Was driving me crazy in marathon prep.
Maybe you’re already getting treatment but with me it came from my lower back (a disk). Just wanted to let you know cause by then I thought: could somebody told me this before.
Greetings from Netherlands!
Well done 👏
Consistent competence = eventual excellence
I like that a lot!
I was on pace to run a 10 minute PR last fall, but got injured 6 weeks out and had to take a full week off. At that point I was pretty much done training like your situation. But on race day I went out and got through 19 miles (this course is 1200ft of vert), and was done. I don't think you should have the mindset of going out at PR pace, and if you don't feel it or miss the mark, you drop out - because the jobs not finished. You either run the race or you don't. Of course if you physically can't, then DNF, but in my first marathon I (stress) fractured my middle metatarsal in my foot around mile 24-25, but knew the job wasn't done.
Good to see a new video and congrats on the PR! Do you win prize money in these races?
Wow ! Great big Congratulations!
Elijah!! You’re amazing! I’ve been watching your vids and you’re an inspiration. I’m a recreational runner and recently PR’d my half marathon by 5 mins! Have you ever run the Ventura Marathon? I ran the half last weekend but there’s also a full. So many people PR’d and I bet that you could run that course easily sub 2:30! Hope you get some time to heal your leg!
Man 2:33:20!!! Lets goooooo! Prime example of not letting a road block stop you from getting things done! This motivated the heck out of me!
welcome back my bro
Incredible effort brother. Must have been quite the mental battle leading up to and during that race. Any idea what the issue might be? Have you been to have it checked out yet?
Way to go!
Hell yeah Elijah!
Yew!! Thanks!!
Congrats. That’s some serious grit! By the sounds of things I would do some research on proximal hamstring tendonopathy. Sounds like long duration isometrics could be a starting point to getting over that hamstring pain.
I’ll look into it! Thank you!
Your contents great man you need to post more often
Can't imagine how you had to hold a strong mind and made it all the way. Congrats mate!
Hope you heal soon and back into full form.
Any next race plan?
Cheers!
LET"S GOOO ELI!!!!!! THEY DONT KNOW YOU SON!
Great PR 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fuego 🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations!! What a race even through an injury! Also, are you going to Boston again this year?!
you did this solo. that's badass!
Not exactly
Thought you “ran away”
Nice to see a vid. 👌🏼
Glad to be back brotha
They let someone follow you and finish with you through the finish chute? Great race and effort overcoming the odds.
Did you ever figure out what the Right sided injury was, and is it still there or getting better now??
That’s me in front! I got smoked going for a sub 3 ended up with a 3:10
Congrats man. How many days a week did you run to prep for this?
Dude I can see the strength training paying off. You look ripped
Big stuff coming up next🤙
Same thought
@@elijahorr can’t wait for it man.
Is it legal to have a personal pacer and biker in a marathon?
Is it allowed to have a non participant pace you?
Congrats Elijah! Do you know now what the injury is?
Lol I live by you bro, any good running paths for a runner that would die running 5 miles lol
Nice work dude. Sucks your body wasn't fully cooperating with you.
New GF soft launch??
Haha congrats man, way to push through that race and snag a PR
Good shit bud. I PRd myself! 2:54
Let’s go!! 1st sub 3?
Yessir! You should run LA next year! I'm shooting for sub 2:40@@elijahorr
What’s your issue with ibuprofen Eli ? Ps I love your content
Hi! Elijah can you make a vid about what you do for a living besides CZcams?
Take care of yourself! look at your posture during the race, maybe was the pain but your arms moved asymmetricaly and also your feet, the left pointing outward. So maybe you could have an imbalance to fix in your body. The injury could be the consequence. Greetings from Italy
What was the injury a pulled hamstring?
Guess maybe
Where’s Sophie?
I will not take anything from you. Your workload, training focus etc. for the marathon. But personally I will not count it as my PR when I make my own "setup" and make a guy jump into the race and pace for me. A race unfold in its own natural way like it or not..
You know nothing about running I see professionals have people who pace them in some races and it's counter as a pr. So he can do it also and it's ok
@@tyler8335 I believe I do but you certainly don't!
Yes they have pacers, but they start with them they don't just jump into the race.
That is one of the reasons why Kipchouges sub 2 hour marathon doesn't count.
you would look better with a hair cut
Highly engineered running shoes are horrible for your body.
How's your hamstring doing now? You most likely have proximal hamstring tendinopathy.
