Of all the G.O.A.T's of sports, Eluid Kipchoge has to be one of the most humble. We're lucky to have him represent running.
So real. Still remember watching live the night he broke 2. Shit blew my mind then and even more so now that I've gotten into longer distances.
Question for you Elijah, I know you’re a very seasoned running (and have elite race goals) for your speed work days, do you prioritize 1x/week session and also have a long run w/ race pace.
Would love to hear how you optimized recovery in a week and prioritize hitting high end paces and a quality long run in this block!
Cheers
Two young kids, wife, two mortgages, long shifts as a CRNA, blah blah blah. I have every excuse in the book not to train hard or as often as I do. Still, I Grind. Shoutout to you Elijah. I spend very little time on CZcams but when I’m here, you’re who I’m watching. Much love & crush that sub 2:30.
That's admirable man. Cheers to you being able to balance life's responsibilities as a father while staying on top of fitness, it's something I strive to do one day also. Stick to the grind brother
This was really inspirational! Thanks.
Gonna have to get more of my Vitamin N in!!
You and Kipchoge are always so inspirational, your content and mindset reminds me to work hard, but earn and enjoy the relaxed days. I struggle a lot with food coming from an ED background, but you remind me to stay consistent and keep working towards my goals.
I think a lot about why I run. One of the many reasons is the discipline it requires. The past few years I've found myself signing up for the next race as soon as I finish just to keep it rolling.
Elijah, I appreciate the video. The most important thing for me to realize was prioritizing my goals. I work night shifts, and I had to get over feeling bad for myself. Now, I run my training miles doing laps around my office's parking lot.
Those days when you are tired and not willing even to do even the easy run, but something inside of me clicks and tells me to get out of the door at least for 30-40min. No regrets after all. I try to make my running early morning or sometimes during lunch hour, during weekend I enjoy the bit of extra time but back home to commit with dad duties.
Sometimes my wife does not understand but she know that now runnning has become an essential of my daily routine, and that space gives me peace of mind.
Turning into week 3 of my marathon prep. Let´s go!!
more full day of eating? calories and macros plz
Faith tied to routine. Daily walk with the Holy Spirit. God bless you Elijah! Keep up the hard work!
If you dont mind me asking when do you see yourself fully just committing to running as your primary job? Not saying you are not but I know you say you work another job. I could assume that can be time consuming etc
Vitamin N? :D
Don’t forget vitamin EPO.
That was so brilliant and cunning. You really got one on Kipchoge and his fans.
@@Frank-cw2xyAnd your response was gold.
