that dragon quest sword is one of the most overpriced things ive ever seen

I remember getting the switch night of release at midnight and the feeling I got from the industry was that it’s going to be Wii U 2 and completely suck. I went in thinking it would be 3ds 2 once I started laying botw my mind and expectations were blown out of the water. Then within a week the switch was impossible to find for months and months and I was oh so happy to have it day one.

Mark of the Wolves is easily a game that in my mind does not get the pub it should. I have it for dreamcast. When I played it all the way back then I instantly thought it was my favorite Fatal Fury game. Throughout these decades since when I do hear the name I'm instantly reminded that it is a fantastic game. It's almost like SNK made one of the greatest fighters ever and no one knows it. As if it's just sitting there waiting to be discovered in an old dusty tomb. I'm sure as heck thankful that I own it. And I'm glad to hear someone else has the same fondness for it.

I just got the Cosmic Fantasy Collection 1 + 2 for the Switch. It's fantastic and will be the only game on my Switch for quite some time. You, I, and a few other people must be the only non-Japanese fans of the series that exist currently. That's a shame, they're very efficient and polished games that succeed in still being playable decades later.

Dear Johnny, I've bought this game after seeing this video, a few weeks ago. Now, I'm a good few hours into the game* and WOW(!!!) what a beautiful, charming game. The first hour I was not completely sold but last night I was thinking this is steadily becoming one of my favourite games of all time. My wife is also completely sold, she reads the novel while I play; a incredible experience I must say. So, I want to thank you, my friend. I'm not a huge fan of the maps either but everything else makes this better than the sum of its part. What a gem! ❤

Hi Johnny, I do think there is one other reason you buy vinyl of games music (if you don’t mind me suggesting). You have a love for physical media. I collect for the Megadrive and also analogue cameras, and CDs. In the 80s/90s buying physical media would be a moment. Downloading something isn’t a moment.

Someone needs to make a new disc medium because blu ray is clearly outdated. It can only hold 50gb of data on a single disc. It also falls on the developers as well for not compressing their files.

Hey Johnny, I just want to say thank you for being a great source for comfort, laughs, insight and positive thoughts. I’ve been watching you for over a decade and it never fails to impress me how much you have remained so positive, upbeat, humorous and incredibly emotionally mature week and after week. The shows with Rob (terribly funny human who I’d love to see on the big screen - great actor/story teller), Andy (a gateway into your childhood - your bond and connection over games and loyalty to each other is really dope to witness - Andy needs his own show too), Kim (an ever seemingly shinning light of joy and happiness - you two are set) and the community that you include whenever you get the chance is f**king dope ❤ A few years ago I was in a very crappy situation in life, your videos as well as some really good friends and family really helped me, Johnny. They helped me to breathe a bit of cheer just before I tried switching off at night and allowed my brain to be distracted by laughter, reviews, first thoughts, pickups, what you’ve been playing, guest appearances, artwork, game scores etc etc Anyway, I’m in an incredible situation in life and currently on holiday in Thailand with my partner and our 5mo little baby girl 🥰 not sleeping, but only cuz as you know it’s absolutely knackering being a father. Massive condolences for your mum ❤ I lost my dad several years ago and like your mom he was a bloody good human. I wish sony playstation would address this and say we are committed to physical games! I think it would have a positive effect on their console sales. Thousands of gamers would gravitate to playstation!!!

Man I can remember getting those Nintendo VHS tapes in the mail. The N64 and Banjo Kazooie tapes are my personal favourites.

I'm about to embark on my first ever foray into the world of Final Fantasy, starting with the first games pixel remaster. I probably wouldn't have ever played any FF game at all (I've never been a big RPG guy) but your videos have always made me wonder "what if?" about this series. Your passion and enthusiasm about it has made me far too curious now. I've bought several of the pixel remasters (the first three FF games) in the last sales and am very keen to finally get to play it and experience these worlds for myself for the very first time.

I had the dkc video, I was maybe 9 or 10 when that came out. It just came in the mail with my Nintendo power. It really got me amped up for the game. it’s also cheesy and follows this Pauly shore-esque dude around the Nintendo offices in WA and goes over the new graphics that were revolutionary at the time by rare. They showed the wireframes and the movements of the characters.

I just cancelled it from my order list lmao, sorry this game just not appealing anymore, and I'm sure Sony will find a way to f it up.

I just picked up a disc only copy for $300 from eBay. The back was a lil scratched up, but it plays fine.
