Seriously, Stellar Blade NEEDS to succeed, like 1 million plus, since it shows other console developers that there is STILL a market for this ( sexy women in action games). And it's thanks to content creators like yourself that this may become a reality. Good stuff my guy.
Bruh this game is gonna sell over 5 million. I don’t think ppl realize just how many ppl miss games like this.
Good original games are like based content creators these days. Both rare and must be supported.
I'd like to say - it has nothing to do with sexy characters (in this case attractive women) in a game. These days we get buggy, broken messes of a game with half baked ideas and microtransactions up the ass. It has more to do with a polished, good performing, good looking game that is a throw back to the late 90s and early 2000s action games that we enjoyed. Solid as a rock framerate (for the most part, it does have some slight issues apparently but nothing major) and an incredible art direction along with amazing music. I still don't understand the people who complained about the main characters being too "sexy" or bashing the developers for it. Look, I'm on the "left" and both sides talk out of their asses all the time, but complaining about a woman character because she has a nice body? Yeah, weird.
IGN will tell you people who support these things have never talked to a woman before but my man here is happily married and has a beautiful family. So uh yeah maybe not stressing over fictional characters being attractive is the way to go?

It's not a controversy. It's a small group of people crying about a game they wouldn't buy anyway.
And said people are botting their tweets on Twitter, so yeah, safe to disregard them and enjoy a game that doesn't pander to Twitter users and a non existent "global/modern audience" for once.

@@AbuOmar probably because it's not the hot new game coming out. Also Bayonetta is far more obscure. This is a big Playstation release.

"It feels like a PS2 Era game" YES! That is what is missing nowadays in gaming. Gaming has fallen so far from the greatness of three generations ago... it's sad to see. So I am glad to see a game that hearkens back to those days. We need more games like this, not too heavy on "movie-like" cutscenes, but more excellent gameplay. Excellent video Johnny!
Can recommend games like Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Soulstice and the upcoming Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip for that.
and a shout to Cookie Cutter and Blud as well.
- Clash: AoC is like adventure beat-em-up where you can find different fighting Styles and Special Attacks and customize them to your character, and individually upgrade your styles. A prequel to Zeno Clash-- very colorful world with few humans, full of sapient freaks, monsters and chimeras.
- Soulstice: Character actoin/hack-and-slash game with quite a lot of production value to it. Seven different weapons, over twenty enemy types, and very good bosses.
Some shortcomings are that the game drags on a bit in the middle, a few of the enemy types are annoying (Get the grappling hook for the Tearing Penance, the Whip, as soon as you get the weapon itself) and people have levied complaints against the camera here and there.
There's some divisive mechanics and a *lot* to both the skills and the ways the "Devil Trigger" mode works, so it's not the easiest hack-and-slash to get into. But it's worth it.
(And these skills are more substantial than just "percentage damage/resistance boost". It's more like perfect counterattacks of certain enemy attacks now freezing them for a few seconds or sending them up in the air).
Both of these last games do have very good story, by the way. Mainly thanks to the character interactions elevating each other.
- Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip seems to be more of a fun goof-around game, where a silly little guy named Terry becomes a taxi driver purely so he has a car to try and drive into space with.
And Cookie Cutter and Blud are beautifully 2D animated games, one a very solid 2D metroidvania with smooth beat-em-up combat set in a very colorful sci-fi/cyberpunk world full of mutants, monsters, robots, chainsaws and a Hindu demon, and the other a top-down explorative/kind of... dungeon crawling/realtime action combat game.
With emphasis on a social aspect with all the inhabitants of the world.
(Keep an eye out for upcoming stuff like Resistor, My Familiair, The Mermaid's Tongue/The Mermaid Mask, Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, Genokids, Yasuke: A Lost Descendant, and Loco Motive. And also whatever Moonhood Studio is cooking up with their stop-motion animated game.)
I do to feel like it’s a ps one ps2 era game with ps5 graphics I will pick this game up when I get done with some of the other ones I haven’t finished 👍🏿

All you fanboys were hyping this game up to be AAA and I told y’all this game was mid from the demo. It has an 80% on metacritic and 7 from IGN. For all you grown ass men who play video games all day, you shoulda known this game is mid but you wanted to hype it up. Gamers disgust me. And if you want to lie and say no one said this , look up comments on old stellar blade videos of people hyping it up to be AAA cause of the demo. People were especially hyping this up cause the dumbass woke group were against this. Don’t let your side on an agenda judge video games.

totally agree with your sentiment about it feeling like an old school game we used to get all the time, but now they feel like a rare commodity. Can't wait to play the full game!
for more "old-school" feeling games from the 2020's, i can heartily recommend the likes of No Straight Roads, Soulstice, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip, and to a degree, Blud and Cookie Cutter.
You'd like Armoured Core 6 then... Game is a blast while listening to heavy metal... No micro transactions... Just pure action and awesome customization

Yeah figured it out in the demo. The hint button just straight up shows you the code for the door provided that you have already discovered the code. No screenshots or smartphones needed!

It was Stellar hearing your thoughts on Stellar Blade. Played the demo and loved everything about it. I will be getting the game to support it. Like you said, we need more of these types of games.

I played the demo, and enjoyed it. The game felt like a mashup of Nier Automata, Dark Souls, and Sekiro. It's clear that Eve is an attractive character along the lines of Bayonetta, or even Nier Automata's 2B. I'm not sure why there was so much controversy about her design. She looks like the typical hot anime girl. IGN France's extremely crude comment toward the game's character design was stupid.

I dont understand it either. Its a videogame character that looks like a videogame character, not trying to be photo realistic. I am a woman, it doesnt offend me. I preordered and paid this off a while ago and am excited.
It's even more stupid since her design is based on a IRL korean model.

Honestly wasn't expecting a video about this game from you. So stoked that you like it though. I was expecting this to be a game that falls to the wayside while you're playing other things. I hope you enjoy the full thing. I'm picking up my copy Friday afternoon and intend on spending my whole weekend chopping up some demons.

I loved the demo and am definitely grabbing a physical copy this weekend. I just started Monochrome Mobius for the PS5 this past weekend so I'm not sure when I'll get to Stellar Blade, but it'll be next on my list as soon as I finish up MM.

Bayonetta is seriously the peak of action games with its gameplay. Unmatched to this day. It's themes of female beauty and sexuality being used to empower rather than to shame are as relevant as ever.

I've actually replayed demo over and over for 5 hours because it very fun. It is the polished game which give me the same feeling I play Lies of P last year. Cant wait to play it day one.

All collected passcodes can be seen in the game's menu. No need to photograph them. Also, all collected passcodes can be *displayed as hint when required* .

I put about 30 mins into the demo, put it down, and pre-ordered it. I was already hooked and decided to wait until I had the full game to go any further. Going to be so busy the next few weeks playing Stellar Blade and the "new" Fallout 4.

I don’t play this type of action adventure game, but after viewing others steaming the demo play through on YT, I think its graphic and music are amazing, the moves are smooth with interesting combos. A great piece of work. Don’t fend Stella Blade off because of the controversies. Can see the production team made it with care.
I’m definitely using this game when I’m done with the games I’m still haven’t completed yet 👍🏿
