It never happened in Arizona because poor ownership groups and that’s the bottom line. A lot of Politicians at the state & especially local level are most likely not going to work with poor or untrustworthy business people. Ryan and Ashley Smith have been there for quite a while and I’m sure they’ve established a good relationship throughout Salt Lake City so it’s easier to make that decision when you have trustworthy people.

Yes i belief it will all pass and Salt Lake City will also get the 2030 Winter Olympics now.

It sucks for the Coyotes, I think it was the combination of bad ownership and the politics in Arizona, I mean the voters did pass to build a new arena in Scottsdale in 2002 but the City Council said "No" basically saying screw what the voters want, then Glendale shoop in because at that time land was cheaper

I feel your pain. You are absolutely right. None of the newer NFL jerseys are worth the money they are charging. Doesn't matter if it's Nike or Mitchell & Ness. The quality has gone downhill. It's the greed of capitalism. Quality has slowly been diminishing over the years. They figure they can lower their costs while increasing prices and people will just keep buying because they want to rep their team or their favorite player. I've stopped buying newer stuff for the most part. I did buy a recent Mitchell & Ness Ravens jersey only because it went on sale and since it should have never been sold in the first place due to a legal dispute over the old Ravens logo that prohibits anything with the original bird wings from being manufactured. I thought it was funny that M&N didn't look into this or get stopped before they went into production. But they did release them. So I grabbed one just to have a unique piece in my Ravens jersey collection. But the quality isn't great. Not for $160. I paid $110 just because I know these won't be in stock again and also because it is hard to find Jonathan Ogden jerseys in general. It is a nice reference point because I have an original jersey from that era and it is nice, yet sad to be able to compare the original and a reproduction side by side. The differences are staggering. Old ones are so much better. Even the jerseys worn on the field by the players are much lower quality than before. I have a game-worn jersey from the 90s and I have seen the new game-worn jerseys up close. The old ones are way better all around. More durable material. There is a lot more detail as well. I notice that on the new jerseys, sometimes certain details are literally peeling away by the time the players get to the post-game press conference. Particularly the Nike signs on the shoulders. I never saw that happen before the last few seasons and I have been watching football for a very long time.

They went from the flamboyant american style to the simplified european suff..I am from europe. I bet new era will make the best NHL caps better then ever

New Era is probably my 2nd favourite brand of hat, close - CLOSE - 2nd to the '47 Brand. I wouldn't mind seeing NHL jerseys made by New Era, they make the jerseys for the CFL and they look fine.

I remember when New Era had NHL fitted hats and snapback hats in certain teams back then glad the NHL is back with New Era the NHL Fanatics hats sucks period really hope the NHL with New Era brings back the fitted hats and snapback hats of all 32 teams.

I don’t care about the Stanley Cup cap. But I do care about are the team caps, and all fanatics caps are terrible. I think the last team cap I have was made by Adidas. And I wasn’t a big fan.

In my opinion New Era makes way way better hats then fanatics from what I heard I’ve seen some fanatics hats in person and online but they look really childish and cheap as in a kid name Timmy wearing those stereotypical cheap tricolor hats fanatics gives me that vibe that’s says a lot since New Era isn’t perfect but miles better

My Stanley Cup shirt from a few years ago doesn't have a giant tag. Nor does it have the Fanatics flag on the front.

If u don't like the NHL Stanley Cup champion hats by Fanatics why do u keep buying them if u don't like them so much and I do agree with u when a team wins the NBA Finals, World Series, or the Super Bowl the NBA, MLB, and NFL championship hats are with New Era meanwhile with the NHL Stanley Cup hats is with Fanatics which are horrible but the NHL had New Era back in the day with the fitted hats and snapback hats which are hella nicer than the Fanatics hats

Colorado could have picked Yeti but they chose Avalanche. I always thought the foot logo was for Bigfoot. Utah can call the team Yeti if they want to.

Wait, Avalanche fans are complaining about Utah's potential name being the Yeti? What sense of entitlement do they think they have? They think they own all winter themed names? So I guess if Utah went with Mammoth, those Colorado fans will complain because their National Lacrosse League team is called the Mammoth? I don't know if Bill Armstrong really let the cat out of the bag as fans tend to try reading between the lines to everything. But Yeti is a fine name for Utah. Let them take this upcoming season to get all the branding done right. I won't be supporting them though since the hockey assets come from what was the Arizona Coyotes. I hope they come up with awesome jerseys compared to the garbage diagonal wordmark on their temporary ones.

The cooler cup company should take legal action and threaten to sue the Utah NHL hockey team if they use the name Yeti.
