this was a great series the Panthers won the first 3 games out playing the Oilers . i dont think the Panthers choked in game 4 to 6 i think the Oilers finally showed up in them games then game 7 they got back to playing their game this was the first finals that i got to see most of the series in a couple years and Oilers a great job for making the series a good one . i was rooting for the Panthers because it's there first ever cup i know a team from Canada has won the cup sense 1993 and counting but as a hockey fan if a team hasn't won it before i would pick that team over a team that won it before in less it was my home team Flyers
This loss for the Edmonton Oilers will definitely motivate the Edmonton Oilers next season to win the Stanley Cup.
Since my team got eliminated I hadn't watched a single game, but I just had to stay up for this one. And boy what a game it was. The only thing that I didn't really like is giving McDavid the conn smythe. They always give it to a winning player for a reason. He didn't even want it, evident from the fact that he didn't come out to accept the damn thing. Bobrovsky would have been so happy to get it.

Larry i am not sure how true this news is but its reported Alex Meruelo is walking away and will not try and bring the Coyotes back
Minnesota having almost no presence in the NHL is wild. I really think a rebrand would help rally fans. It's hard to get behind a team called the Wild with a generic scenic background logo.
Larry was right, Panthers just had to get the first goal. They can't let Edmonton's offense get out of control. McDavid refused to come out and accept the Conn Smythe. There was a ton of Oilers fans there and they looked dissapointed they couldn't get a pic of him with it. He still has never recovered a single series with even an 0-2 deficit. Poor attitude from him and Drai. I think McDavid needs to be on a team where he isn't expected to be captain/leader.
