- In Episode 230 of Mike Finnegan's Garage, I venture to Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Home Of Holley and Jessie's Garage, a local shop with a sweet chassis dyno. Jessie was kind enough to allow us to strap my 1967 Chevrolet C10 to the dyno to finally finishing tuning the Terminator X EFI system. The end result was unleashing an additional 200 hp from the Chevrolet Performance LT4 supercharged engine and doing epic burnouts in every gear of the six-speed sequential gearbox.

They still do Faster with Finnigan together. Dave just was working way too much and couldn’t be with mike all the time. The man has a family too. All of these guys, including Freiburger work their asses off doing multiple tv shows. Filming almost every week.
Being a fan of Finnegan’s builds is brutal. You see an awesome project come in, but you know he’ll throw 10 others in the mix and you have to wait a couple years for them to be finished. But it’s always worth it!

This brings me back to when I swapped a 455 Olds and 200-4R into my 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88. Did a 4 gear (plus lockup converter) standing burnout when it was done. The picture is way back in my Instagram feed.

I guess my question would be, Why did Holley sell a product for an application that would never work as shipped, and quite obviously had never been tested? It's been 3 + years now and the fix isn't yet released. How much money and time have buyers spent trying to make a defective system work?

Just like he said in the video… it’s made and advertised specifically for LT1, L83, and L86. Not LT4.
He is trying to use a setup designed for an LS engine on a LT engine. I'd almost go out on a limb and say it most likely was designed for a na LS on a supercharged LT throwing another wrench in the mix.
Nothing about it was defective. He was trying to run it on an LT4 when it was specifically sold to work with LT1 injectors. Looks like the new version will work with the LT4 injectors as well though.

you should be able to re valve the master cylinder for both sets of brakes you just need to know what the factory Ford master cylinder put out for pressure and match it . or get Wilwood to do it for you they love that kind of problem If you call and ask them they will figure it out they even built a set of custom brakes to fit Model A's for J leno it's what they do

It's strange how some sounds can take you back 45 years. I owned a 67 C10 in 78. When you closed the door at the drag strip I instantly remembered that sound. Only old trucks make that hollow clank. Again thanks for sharing 👍.

12V Dave just elevates things to another level with his presence.
Was nice to see a dyno shop with a good honest dyno and a tuner who knows his stuff.
Not entirely sure how you guys ever thought it was correct that it made 650 to the wheels on that other dyno. Just goes to show that the shop you initially dynoed the C10 in does not have an accurate dyno.
Yes 10-20 hp is variations between dynos, 90 hp is not, that's an operator who's does not have his equipment in order or is deliberately inflating the numbers. I definitely would not use Moe's after seeing this. But now you know where to go with the other cars to get accurate numbers. Very cool.
One of my favourite cars and build's of Finnegan's, I hope it finally gets painted and completed, will look awesome when its done.

I haven’t been following along much this build so I must say DAYUM! thing is a beast but I love the dual screen for the passenger!
There is nothing more bad ass than burnouts but, a 6th gear burnout is arm pumping bad ass.
This thing is just incredible. Been wanting more of the C-10 content.
I can honestly say this is the only project I want to see in paint.

Don’t forget to run, Lucas fuel additive in that direct injection system. I had one of those with real high rail pressure and it goal two injectors. I started running Lucas fuel additive as per the bottle and never had another problem. Awesome work over there. You are my go to channel every Sunday morning because it makes my week better. Keep up the great work.
I've always like the 67-68 c10s after Stacey David built Copperhead and I'm a diehard squarebody guy but I've never had a dream truck until you built this this. Words can't do justice to describe that beauty.

Great to see Newbern. That 'second guy' on the channel can be super important. A lot of folks, me included, identify more with the helper (2nd guy) than the main guy, simply because we probably don't see ourselves in the main guy role.

What a good Sunday. Not only getting a sick Finnegan video, but its of the C10! Sounds insane. Building a 67 short bed fleetside c10 right now. Butternut yellow. Wanting to build a 496 or a 555 big block for it with a Tremec t-56 magnum. Just need to find a good core! It'll be a 496 if I find a good gen 4 core, or if I wanna spend the extra money a Big M Dart block would be sick... either way the money will make this project sit for some time more.
