As a registered dietitian, thanks for all you do! I hope to have a business similar to yours one day. I like the 4 steps, a nice simplified way to lose weight.

This is great advice. I’m also a registered dietitian and really struggle with what to tell my patients if they want to lose weight since my focus is weight gain. Love that it is over arching but yet you individualize it.

Thank you, I really appreciated all of that!! 😊😊
Protein i have no troubles with but produce foods I REALLY struggle with, they are not appetizing to me what so ever and just don't know what to do about it :( so it causes me to give up and eat processed foods 👎

I love this video! I am in school to become a nutritionist currently. I still seek information about my own weight though because I have struggled for my whole life.
I would love to lose 15 lbs and the counting calories is the hardest part for me! I love produce and protein though! I also workout 4-5 times/week. It’s so discouraging but I’m going to try and limit calories more.

Is it true if you are not eating enough that your body will hold on to the fat?

Hi, do you think walking 10000 steps a day and eating 1550 calories will give me weight loss. I weigh 160 and am 5 4. I’m going to see a registers dietitian soon as well.

Sorry, but the last person you should listen to about weight loss is a young person who has never had a weight problem...
    1. Eat less, get into a calorie deficit...out of context. The way to lose fat is to control your hunger. If you eat sugar, it will make you hungrier. We get fat not because of a lack of willpower, but because sugar is signalling to our body to store fat and make us hungrier. If you eat too much sugar, your hungrier and you will eat more calories. Eating too much is actually related to hunger, not emotions.
    2. Exercise is more effective if you add intensity. How much fat you burn calories during an exercise is actually quite meaningless. What really matters is recovery and getting fitter for fat loss, and that happens when you sleep or recover.
    3. Eating more produce...wrong. Registered dietitians are certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which was founded by members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church back in 1917, and believes in the plant-based nonsense pushed by religious puritans like Ellen G. White and John Harvey Kellogg. The best food to eat to reduce hunger is actually meat. The Academy pushes plant based nonsense that is not backed up by evolution or accurate science.
    4. Eat more protein...correct, but you also need lots of fat for health.
Sorry, but Illa is an attractive young woman, but she is pushing the same official nonsense the lunatics at the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the US government have been lying to us about for years...
If all this advice is so good, why is everybody so fat and sick?
She needs a lot more experience and questioning ability to see through the propaganda she is spreading...

I was going to give this older man (I am assuming) the benefit of doubt until I read his reply and how he is all about the carnivore diet and pushing in my opinion conspiracy theories. A quick Google search came up with who founded the Academy of nutrition and dietetics and honey it wasn't a church.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics was founded in 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, by a group of women led by Lenna F. Cooper and the Academy's first president, Lulu G. Graves, for the purpose helping the government conserve food and improve public health during World War I.[1] It is now headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.[13]
Every person is different which means different diets work for different people. Carnivore may work for you and how she helps her clients works for her. Please everyone reading this don't believe everything you hear on CZcams do your own research.

Oh and also people are getting fat because we eat too much fast food and candy and drink soda and are not as active.

Don’t listen to classicjukeboxband. The comment is literally so ignorant. Lol this is 100% what I’m working on now with my dietitian. And I feel so much better than I did 5 months ago.
