Every damn time someone mentions Watergate I’m like “I knew I had a vague understanding but this is still not what I expected” I would love an actual explanation (it would work so well in the style of Puppet History imo). I’m not American so Idk if y’all learn more about it over there
Unfortunately, it's pretty unlikely that the sandwich itself played any part of it. The actual guy who ended up assassinating Ferdinand was on that corner because it was technically still part of the route he was stationed on, so it's pretty unlikely that he just happened to grab a sandwich while on the job. The part where it was a complete accident that Ferdinand appeared before him is true for sure though!

One of my favorite stories! They also made Abe sit in a wheelchair to hide his easy to spot height! Warne stayed up all night and that is where the Pinkerton’s tag line “We Never Sleep” came from. There are no official photos of her. She was a spy during the civil war even dressing as a man (so goes the story) and after the war she set up and ran an office for what became the Secret Service in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is buried in Pinkerton’s family plot in Chicago.

I love that they embrace chaos, bloopers, struggles, and mistakes in this episode. It really is reassuring to see instead of them trying to cut out those moments and seem more polished both because it vibes with the jokes and wildness of this show and because it’s another thing to relate to. It’s nice to see “professionals” flub like we do, fail and make mistakes but are able to laugh at it

i came back from a party held by the family of a dead childhood friend of mine and this video is one of the first things i watched when i got home to try to keep myself from crying. entertainment and humor and education are important to ppl and their mental health and i hope that the ppl who make this series and similar media are aware of the positive effect they have on the lives of the ppl who enjoy their content

My favorite part of Ryan and Shane is seeing that Shane runs more of his material topic interests here a little more at least for the puppets and Ryan just looks so defeated at Shane 100 percent being himself when it happens. Because Shane Just dealt with 5 years of Ryan saying ghosts are real and squealing at the drop of a pin just to continuously be debunked and the look of defeat was 100 percent the same on Shane as it is now on Ryan whenever it came out
