After the week it's been (SCOTUS, etc.), y'all have given me so much hope. Black love at its finest! My husband and I met at 17, married at 20 and will celebrate our 50th anniversary this year! Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely! Thank you young people for the hope!

That was so sweet and it just flowed from her lips so easily when she said "I was built for you" and her husband was just smiling... could not sit still. That was freaking adorable!
This blessed me so much, hearing Shawna talk about her weightloss journey. I've been looking at how much I have to lose and never considered what all I will gain. #thankyouGod. I got it now.
OK! This conversation, so far, has been a WHOLE word. I couldn't even make it to the end before commenting. The gems they have dropped, and the insight articulation,whew child. When Shawna said her view of her husbands pursuit was influenced by the season of life she was in...I had to pause and sit in that for minute. And her response to losing weight, not how much she lost, but how much she's gained, let me tell you. I went through that journey, and that is exactly what I experienced, and am still experiencing daily. Love these conversations, and that Tab and Chance have created this platform.

When Shawna said that.... OOH it ate cause I was mentally dragged back to dating my first love with likely undiagnosed depression. Just like Lewie, I'm a Naija 1st daughter who's been instilled with the work ethic to provide without consideration for the needs of self. I couldn't see or receive his love that well because of my familial trauma. Talk about a baseline rocked. We both had our struggles and receiving the others forms of love something I still have to apply grace to. But I would feel so blessed to have a marriage as beautiful as both of these couples!! We definitely need the Lewisons back for several more. I'd definitely love to see their interactions with the Fredericks and the Tanksleys!!

Trauma, emotions and heavy metals are stored in the fat tissues. I’m glad she shared how transformative her losing weight was, it’s hard and those feelings can come up while going thru that change, and the heavy metal toxicities can bring on symptoms that try to slow you down but if you are on that journey..KEEP FIGHTING FOR YOU🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Yep, this is the exact reason why people grow apart because when a woman knows she’s safe she will naturally rest in her feminine. This is a big problem nowadays with the dudes that are out here being more feminine than the woman could ever be. I have been in a position like that with a friend & he just didn’t get it. I couldn’t slow down my process no more than he could speed up his. He just wasn’t realistic with a lot of thing’s & didn’t provide the mental, physical, emotional, etc space that was needed for me to operate in the energy that I’m naturally born with. It was so much more that I could go into of the things that just wasn’t there.
I tell my husband all the time, no other can give me what he's given me in our 26 years together ❤

I’ve gathered that there are advantages and disadvantages of getting married at a younger age and at mature ages.
I’ve heard that when you get married, esp at a younger age, you’re marrying more of what you ‘don’t know’ than what you ‘do know’, but it’s always communicated in ref to the partner, but I just thought that it’s also pertaining to self. That’s real.
