Cartoon Network Has A Dangerously LOW Number of Shows Right Now

- Cartoon Network isn't in a great position right now. The Warner Bros Discovery merger recently caused chaos, leaving upcoming projects in limbo. After Victor & Valentino's series finale aired on Cartoon Network, we have to ask: how many shows do they have right now?
Teen Titans Go, Craig of the Creek, We Baby Bears and Summer Camp Island are Cartoon Network's main shows right now. When two of these shows are based on existing properties from the past (Teen Titans, Total Drama Island), there's basically only two current originals. What's going on at Cartoon Network? When will we get news on upcoming cartoons like Batman: Caped Crusader, the Gumball reboot, or Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake?

This is the worst CN era in recent memory tbh
yeah
No more TTG please.
Teen Titans Go! Is ♾️ 😂😂😂
I don’t want to imagine the day when they only air episodes of TTG.
Honestly I hate to believe it but yes Vail it's definitely at its lowest point EVER
I miss the period when Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Regular Show, and Gumball were all in their first couple seasons and TDWT was also getting started. That was a good time to be alive. The network hasn’t been able to repeat anything like that since.
Those were some great times for sure. Another show I miss is Clarence
Same man, I recently rewatched them on Hulu though. I got hit with nostalgia, the 2010s was an amazing year for TV shows.
back before 2013 i remember watching all of those shows i miss them i miss all these old shows i still find ways to watch the older shows like ed edd and eddy dexters lab and all total dramas except rana and many kire shows i just miss the good shows
@@_ash1ey_ Broo those are legendary I watched all total drama seasons (a bit of rama but couldn't stand it) and ed edd n eddy was goated, so was Dexter's laboratory
Same here man, I watch them on Hulu.
Honestly what CN should do is bring back “What A Cartoon”. And hopefully it’ll kickstart a new generation of “Cartoon Cartoons”.
They are, it was announced a while back.
They are and so is nick

The end of cartoon network was the beginning of the bad Era
"Cartoons Cartoons!" Man I literally miss watching Cartoon Fridays that schedule was absolutely top of throne, and fun.
Honestly, Cartoon Network was already like this even before the merger. The last time I saw Cartoon Network there was probably 7 or 8 shows that ran all day, compared to the 10-16 shows that ran around 2000.
@DONT READ MY PROFILE PICTURE shut up
@DONT READ MY PROFILE PICTURE okay
and at one point, there was maybe one or two shows that ran all day. mostly teen titans go.
cartoon network really loves to shove the same shows and episodes down your throat.
even now, they don't do a good job with showing many shows outside of the main ones.

@DONT READ MY PROFILE PICTURE I see you everywhere
There are less shows here than there were in 2008. Never watched SCI, but glad it’s coming back to the channel after 3 years.
For a minute there, I thought you've said SML.
Lol. (No offense, but I prefer AquaticNeptune over that guy)
How many shows were there in 2008?
What is SML? I can’t keep up with all these abbreviations people use now to describe shows.
@@PeterGriffin11 SML is short for SuperMarioLogan, a notorious channel that makes edgy videos with Mario plushes. The main creator has been apart of several controversies.
You mean Summer Camp Island? But it's abbreviation is SCI.
How are they going to cancel all of these shows on their network but only have only 2 ORIGINAL shows, and one of them is about to end soon? This is insane

It’s hilarious how they denied Mr Warburton’s Galactic KND because of not wanting more variety, only to see themselves dying at a painfully slow rate with only 4 shows. What was once a network known for a literal cinematic universe of cartoons has now come to this state.
This! All of this. I was waiting for someone to mention that.
especially when they cancelled my show's revival movie.
To be fair though, KND ran its course and ended quite well
Another spinoff I never felt was needed
@Number 4 Stealth Kragen Agreed
While the series finale “Things Change” was quite divisive amongst fans, it has grown on me over the years.
It is quite bold, and not the usual finale you’d expect in a kids show but at the same time it does have a sense of finality to it
@Number 4 Stealth Kragen True, true.
That being said I like many to believe that the girl in the episode was in fact Terra but she would rather live a normal life without superpowers or being a superhero. After everything she went through before I don’t blame her.
If she told Beast Boy the truth, he wouldn’t leave her alone. Her final words to him “the girl you want me to be is just a memory” was telling enough
The Warner Bros. Discovery merger is literally ruining animation! 2022 has been a very rough year for animation, and this is going way too far! I won’t stand for it. Discovery is ruining everything for Warner Bros.!
The reason why all the bad things are happening over at WB right now is because it was being horribly mismanage by morons who was running WB into ground. And this was BEFORE the merger. And we're just now seeing the negative consequences of the horrible mismanagement of the previous idiots. And thanks to how badly things was run over at WB, and how much debt they're currently in right now, a lot of stuff is getting cut to save money. And unfortunately, animation get caught in the crossfire.
Thanks Discovery for ruining my childhood

Why can’t they cancel Teen Titans Go already! Cartoon Network was going down hill when Pokémon was removed after XY and Z finished. I missed the old times when they use to air movies on Sunday
Same here. I really want Teen Titans Go to be over and done with already.
@CipherRage0909 Long as hoping TTG can meet it's end already.

After that, all that will remain is Teen Titans Go, Ben 10 and TAWOG.
@@rallysmith6403It's just TTG all summer and then they airing We Baby Bears all month in September they couldn't even bother to celeberate their anniversary.
I think they should make We Bare Bears, Regular Show, and maybe adventure time part of the current lineup again, and not just as a joke or a special occasion, the daily programming. It would add more “variety”, and would be a decision that people would like. They would just have to make sure that it’s people wouldn’t get tired of the same shows everyday. EDIT: CN should make a We Bare Bears season 5, as an epilogue after the movie. I think it needs more content.
better than ttg everyday someone take me back to 2010s when they had those cartoons
yeah it’s happening. Regular Show and Adventure Time and some older show reruns are gonna appear for like 2 weeks? I don’t know when CN will stop those reruns
We Baby Bears must be having a hard time reading this comment.
They could also air Ok KO, Mao Mao, Uncle Grandpa, and other shows that were removed on HBO Max. They are continuing airing Victor and Valentino and Summer Camp Island as they still have new episodes.
It would also be cool if they aired total drama island
I don't like TTG (Teen Titans Go), but I don't consider it the worst thing to air on the network, either. Been watching the network as far back as the Cartoon Cartoons Era, so definitely seen shows that were bland, questionable, or just straight up weird. However, I do think it's one of the main contributing factors for Cartoon Network going down the hill that it's currently traversing.
Because it's doing well in terms of viewerships (which is bullshit since it's practically taken over the network), and has decent enough toy sells, CN opted to prioritize on it over everything else; and due to its "humor" that's working for them, we've gotten shows that are similar such as PPG16 (Powerpuff Girls 2016) and Thundercats Roar. Really, it seems the network wants to focus more on these shows that are random for the sake of being random more than anything.
Cartoonito is essentially a dumping grounds for oversaturated franchises
@Khaled Shanshal
I've not heard of All Engines Go until I saw your comment, so I did a quick Google Search. I wasn't expecting it to be a Thomas the Tank Engine cartoon, of all things.
It's sad to see these shows come and go over time, and they did Over the Garden Wall & Infinity Train dirty.
That’s ironic, considering both are the best modern shows that aired on Cartoon Network.
Well I thought that Over the Garden Wall ended since that was how the creator wanted it to end but I could be wrong. Also I really wanted to finish watching Infinity Train since I just started watching the first couple episodes recently but now I can't unfortunately.
BRO WHAT DO YOU MEAN OVER THE GARDEN WALL ?!?!?!?!?!?!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS ONE, Edit : oh wait it was a 10 episodes deal if that's what you meant by that part or do you mean HBO removed this one too
that never used to be the case back in years like 2008 or even 2012, they got a bunch of shows to air at those points in recent years
Funfact the characters bert and ernie on sesame street were named after bert the cop and ernie the taxi driver in frank capra's "it's a wonderful life."

I actually watched It's A Wonderful Life, but I never knew that the two Sesame Street characters were named after the two characters of the movie.
I thought Vail was gonna make a video about Vic and Val's series finale ending on a cliffhanger
As Sylvester the Cat once said: "Sufferin' succotash! What in spam hill are you talkin' about?! You're forgetting the most important thing! Everyone loves cartoons!"
And honestly, that phrase needs to be told to David Zaslav in general. We need him to realize that animation isn't just a laughing stock that adults put on to keep their kids quiet for a couple of hours, it's a beloved way of storytelling! Just imagine how bland TV would be without cartoons.
What's gonna catch children's attention while they're channel-flipping, and then later become a beloved classic they'll cherish when they're older? Seinfeld? Nah!
In fact, no kids or teens, or EVEN SOME adults would even watch TV at all!
So on one two three, I say we actually need to team up and stop Discovery and show them that cartoons are a work of art, but we're too damn lazy to actually do it! So please, if you're reading this, boycott Discovery!
Remember, if the internet got Paramount to redesign Sonic, then we can get Discovery to leave Cartoon Network alone!
There's no way in hell I'm gonna let my favorite company in general die because of one ass of a higher-up, and you can't either!
The Snyderverse fans are gonna block us anyway since, apparently, they love Zaslav ._.
I thought the entire first half was the Sylvester quote.

Let's hope Cartoon Network doesn't end up like qubo. I want to make sure CN gets a second chance of hope from us. And we know, Cartoon Network has no fault of what they're going through now, but we sure do. You see, in the late 2010s, I thought Cartoon Network was going downhill so much, that I gave up watching it. However earlier this year, I decided to go back with Cartoon Network but I was unaware of what we are going through now. You see, I along with many Cartoon Network fans (including most of us) made the worst mistake of our lives. It was all our faults.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 But that doesn't mean that we should give up hope. We should join together to save Cartoon Network, boycott the WBD merger once and for all, for the sake of Cartoon Network's characters, people, fans then and now (even the unborn fans), and HOPE AND PRAY CARTOON NETWORK WINS THE BATTLE AGAINST THE MERGER BY US SUPPORTING CARTOON NETWORK AND HELP THE CN FIGHT BACK NO MATTER WHAT GETS IN THE WAY FOR THE SAKE OF THE FUTURE OF CARTOON NETWORK. This is just what I've been saying CN doesn't have variety anymore. It's just three to four shows tops running in mini marathons all day back to back. And with Cartoonito taking up the morning, and Adult Swim starting at 7, CN has to run these very few shows in long segments back to back just to take up the day. its crazy how teen titans go is still running
At this point, the channel needs a DESPERATE reset.
If I was in charge:
- Adult Swim's hours would be cut to 10pm-5am
- the schedule would get a MASSIVE overhaul, ensuring that MANY more shows, old and new, would be there
- Cartoonito's hours would be 9am-4pm (8am-3pm central), at least on weekdays
- No 1 show would air for any more than 2 hours a day
- 5am-7am would be designated for classic shows, from The Moxy Show to Ben 10 Omniverse, and would be changed on the 1st of every month
- PLENTY of new shows would be greenlit, even including stuff originally rejected, like Kitty Bobo and Trick Moon
- the new Gumball movie and series would be under strict quality control, to make sure it fixes the problems with season 6
- a brighter future overall would be guaranteed
- Teen Titans GO! would FINALLY get the axe (it's no longer as popular as it was in the mid 2010s and the original fans have likely passed their driving tests by now!)
I also hear TeenNick's schedule is now worse than CN's ever was! On top of that, they really should NOT be airing Henry Danger in light of the extra dirt just recently exposed on Dan Schneider! How long before Zoey 101 and other Schneider shows get taken off Paramount+?
I would remove Adult Swim and Cartoonito completely and balance out the schedule with only at most 3 hours of TTG a day. TTG's 8th season will be the final season, Victor and Valentino gets a 4th season to continue the cliffhanger, and make a new block for older shows. More third party shows will be added like Canadian shows and anime to add variety.

even when there were live action shows airing, it was never bad enough that there was a lack of good content. This is just depressing.
Not even NICKELODEON has that number of shows currently. Even though half of it is live action.
SERIOUSLY?!?!?
I wonder how Nickelodeon is doing right now
I’m not saying Nick is any better. Oh god no. But at the very least they have some variety and more than 3 shows.
@@Saggynaggy21534 even then, there’s still nicktoons for older shows
I wish Nickelodeon could go back to more brand new and interesting cartoons in Nick Toons. The live-action stuff they make aren’t very interesting to me at all. The current ones at least.
Honestly I blame CN they cancelled Infinity train and MaoMao and before the merger they mistreated several shows they set themselves up for this
the fact that teen titans go is still alive is scary
At least the channel has been airing some classic shows to add some variety. The Labor Day weekend marathon has been airing some fan favorite choices like SU’s Change Your Mind finale and movie, OG Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo, Adventure Time’s Stakes and Islands
And looks like by the TV guide we’re getting fan favorites of the classics like the Dexter’s lab episode where he can only say Cheese Omelette in French
Lemme just say that I am very well aware that Cartoon Network and Warner Bros once upon a time had a dark history over the years in regards to shows like Teen Titans Go.
I want Teen Titans Go to end more than ever. :/
@@jimmyhook4852 Or at least take itself more seriously. I liked Teen Titans Go to the Movies and Girls Night Out, but almost every other episode is literally a fart joke or CZcams Poop
@@lolstalgic9602 Yeah.
Don’t forget the disastrous live action shows of the late 2000’s to early 2010’s
@@RB01.10 I'm aware.
Even though some weren't that bad, two examples being Destroy Build Destroy and Dude, What Would Happen?
I know it from experience.
ITS ALL THE GODDAMN OSCARS FAULT by making jokes about "how animation is for kids." reasons why wbd is removing animation entirely.
Well, at least Craig of the creek is a fricking banger of a show
Ik
it really is
Yeah
Yeah
Craig of the Week is awesome 👍
I was talking about this with my friends too. They have very little shows that are still airing new content.
Then they should get off their lazy arces and start green lighting some new shows
I'm so glad I watch Cartoon Network in the 2000s.
"BREAK FREE!"
*only 2 original shows*
I went to school for film & tv production and I have experience at a couple of networks. I keep applying to CN (and other animation studios) but DAMN I keep getting rejected asap. Besties pls I'm just tryna help revive your network😭
I can't live without Cartoon Network, it was my childhood.
Cn is losing shows but in Canada telethon has more
I feel like with only 1 original show is too sad
So we have three types of Cartoon Network shows
1. The bullies and brats who get whatever they want instead of being superheroes (Teen Titans Go)
2. The kids and a group of friends who loved exploring the creek (Craig of the Creek)
3. A trio of small and cute young bears who are brothers and does adventures and tries finding a new home with a magical box (We Baby Bears)
So save 1 or 2 shows,drop 1 show
For me I save Craig of the Creek and We Baby Bears and I'll drop Teen Titans Go
I guess it’s a good thing that there’s also Cartoonito and Adult Swim if CN doesn’t have much
I was just looking at the statistics yesterday. Viewership is only a couple hundred k. Most of the viewers were only watching victor and Valentino. Its really heartbreaking to see what cn has become
Damn this is tough
It would be better if they get rid of Teen Titans Go but that's just me and they don't got much show now.
I'm with ya: END TTG ALREADY!
Is it possible for WB to unmerge with Discovery?
I hope so.
What I do know is that they’re working on a live-action block. Their first live-action show “Home Sweet Rome” just started production and should be expected to premiere sometime in 2023.
A certain chalk drawing: *Real-real-real-real-real-real-real-REAL!!*
[Several anvils are dropped...but the drawing keeps hopping out of their path]
[The animated avatar continues to hop about, annoying other characters (and, hopefully, Davey sooner rather than later)]
Vailkisibum, the producers of dcshg are considering a third season of the show in an interview during mayhem in the multiverse and looking for a new voice actor for supergirl, It's just not announced yet.
I remember the og days
I use to watch
Johnny test
Regular show
Adventure time
The amazing world of gumball
Uncale grandpa
Steven universe
We bear bears
So meany Great shows that ended and I feel sad inside
Craig of the creek is alright
Teen titans go can burn into the fire
What’s even worse is that Teen Titans Go is one of the shows that aren’t cancelled.
doez it need to end and also why did it not end yet?
@@andrewgallup6043 TTG is basically CN’s SpongeBob.
Mark my words: END TTG ALREADY!
