Well I understand why
1. Not that much variety in the schedule
2. Not that much reruns of their other shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe.
3. They always keep advertising the Cartoon Network app.
4. Not that much viewers aren't interested on the new shows or watching Cartoon Network at all.
Those are my reasons why I think Cartoon Network is loosing their audience.

You still have to have a paid TV provider to be able to access most things on the CN app. Younger viewers aren't gonna know how to even link their cable accounts to the app so this new strategy to get kids to use streaming will backfire rapidly, also considering pirating shows from a more convenient source is always an option, they no longer get those numbers from the audience.

They also made the mistake of airing them on Spring Break in some places. Spring break = people being out of the house and on vacation. I would’ve watched them as they premiered (since I’ve watched every Steven Bomb since the series started.) But my Nana was in the hospital and family came in to visit her so I was busy with that. (I also watched them on the app prior to their premiere.)
That's one of the downside for the network they keep focusing on their app and now I know that actual TV channel itself

Worst of all after her lie works I know your not like this she creates her own network for kids to watch Teen Titans GO constant striking's from Ed, Edd n Eddy in seasons 2-5 worst of all she steals Rugrats and the first 2 movies of Rugrats and steals KaBlam! that was banned in the U.S by attempting excessive Copyright Infringement she steals more stuff from everyone else's media to make her network complete and then she's gonna treat Aaron & Mike like slaves to make "RTV" where kid's are gonna like Robin even more. Unfortunately the Teen Titans GO "RTV" gets banned due to Robin threatening to murder The FCC and Starfire getting drunk on screen in the end but in actuality it gets banned by Seth MacFarlane who viewed Robin Beast-Boy & Starfire hating The FCC sing-along called "Moon and give the middle for The FCC" as a misuse with potential Copyright Infringement and RTV would not be allowed on DVD. After that everyone will not believe Christina Miller anymore you see the problem comes back at her for trying to getaway with telling lies about Family Guy the she ends up arrested for trying to avoid paying back money as an excuse to avoid fines of excessive Copyright Infringement and then she gets sent to a Funny Farm. I think she's gonna end up like Lumpus in the series Finale of Camp Lazlo

This is basically like how Radio Sitcoms and Radio Dramas moved over to TV. Much like Radio, TV is on it's way out. Radio managed to survive through music and being able to listen to music on the road, but I don't think TV really has anything to fall back on, especially cable TV. Public broadcast is free to watch so I think it might have a chance of survival as people who can't afford internet can still watch, but cable isn't free and is also rather expensive.

My fanbase is partly in split with what fans still like the newer seasons while some older fans like myself doesnt like what has been going on with seasons like Ninja Steel currently. I stopped watching Power Rangers after Dino Charge. And to think you folks that like or once liked CN are having hard luck with the network these days and rant about on the internet, look at how, again, people like me from my fandom has been have ripped on Power Rangers' current practice with 2 seasons and 20 episodes regulation on NICKELODEON. PR has been on Nick since Samurai 7 years ago and boy how horrendously far this era of TV has gone up to this point. If you CN people love complaining about CN and TTG, Im one of those who complain about today's Neo Saban Power Rangers and as well as the amount of gazing on Mighty Morphin nostalgia with many products in my fandom these days. Can't stand it. That's why I have, as of 2016, already cut the cord from cable/satellite TV in favor of streaming on Hulu and Netflix and/or collect TV shows on DVD/bluray and watch CZcams all day. Pop culture and entertainment these days as I've known it is dead.

With the combination of poor marketing with not that much change in the schedule, I believe that Cartoon Network's problem is more of working on the app, like you said. However, I didn't ever even know Gumball still came on. Also, when I used the CN app, it didn't even show all episodes, only just a few in the latest shows, like We Bare Bears and TTGO (obviously), with Gumball only going back to late season 5 in the middle of season 7.
I have a few ways to save the ratings:
1 - Put in anime
2 - Stop with the hiatuses
3 - Get rid of Teen Titans Go and boycott the upcoming movie

I personally stopped watching cartoon network. The only show i watch on there anymore is steven universe, and i cant even wait to watch them on tv anymore, thanks to spoilers, so i have to just watch them on the app. I would not be surprised if CN was forced to move to the app exclusively due to minimal ratings, all thanks to TTG being like the only thing that was on for a while, so people stopped watching. Thats why i did at least. Im sick of it

I stopped watching TV in late 2014. Then my former friend brought me to the app called KissCartoon, it was my opportunity to watch cartoons and that’s how I got into Aaahh!!! Real Monsters in the first place (Especially thanks to Ickis that I personally love him.)
But as time went on, the website shuts down and I go to find the other cartoon websites, and then now I slowly losing interest because I got on CZcams again but either of them are not as enjoyable as before. As I already gotten bored already.

while I do like picking what I want to watch whenever I got the time, what I fear is what the death of tv means for how the internet is going to work. But I do have hope, since they seem to be already doing this by charging officially uploaded episodes to be viewed but we aren't forced into it either. I could completely ignore the channel, and they'd still be fine. And the ads, those keep revenue too.
