My siblings and I really loved Cinnamon Mini Buns cereal, so when that stopped showing up at our local super market, we hoped this would taste just the same. It did not, the texture was all wrong and it tasted most of hazelnut. Fortunately an actual Cinnabon is something I always look forward to eating whenever I go to the mall.

If you want a cereal with nautical marshmallows, you can get a big bag of Marshmallow Mateys, which is basically Malt-O-Meal's version of Lucky Charms. It is a lot cheaper that the SB cereal probably was, and it has a larger assortment of nautical marshmallow shapes. And it tastes at least as good as Lucky Charms.

Since most channels don't have that, kids didn't get ushered into getting up in the morning to rush to watch their favorite shows. I had no idea cereal was trending downward. It's kind of disheartening as a person who grew up on having cereal in the morning, even if I do have something else for breakfast these days. When they discontinued Mega Stuf Oreo O’s, I contacted Post directly and they confirmed it was discontinued, as was Sour Patch Kids. 😞 One cereal I really miss was Smurfs cereal from the 80s. I grew up with the Flintstones, and I am inclined to agree with you about younger people not really being into the original cartoon today. It should be stated though that the show was originally written for adults on prime time (its original sponsor was Winston Cigarettes),. By the fifth season or so (after Pebbles and Bamm Bamm were added to the show), it became more juvenile and was moved to Saturday morning TV. I still like the cartoon when I catch it, and really liked the DC comics reboot by Mark Russell which was a limited series and did a really good job of updating the series (like renaming Fred and Barney's lodge, Loyal Order of Water Buffalos, Veterans of the Paleolithic Wars).
