This building is a major part of CN history and it's such a tragedy to see it gone. Completely stripped of everything that made it special. They should've at least kept the plaque. Removing that was just disrespectful.

I KNOW RIGHT I mean dang if they are going to sell the joint sure go ahead but I know from number of places I have been to before usually when it's a commemorative plague like that those tend to be left alone both as a sign of what once was and out of decency also since most of the time plagues like that are not cheap. To just not only take it off but judging from the scuff marks take it off forcibly dang.
Getting rid of the plaque is an absolute disgrace to the building that created so many childhoods around the world. I hope that plaque is preserved for generations to come. It’s a piece of history.

Even I, a very new fan of Cartoon Network with no real understanding of why this building matters aside from a vague idea based entirely off what I've seen and heard from this video understood that was just mean.
As someone who absolutely grew up on Cartoon Network during the 2000's and enjoyed classics like Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, Billy and Mandy, Kids Next Door, Foster's, and so many others, to say I'm devastated by the fate of the CN Studios building is a grave understatement. It's very unfortunate seeing a place where many iconic series were created just completely abandoned, and most likely, set to be demolished without a trace.

it's genuinely horrifying how were witnessing so many companies like Cartoon Network, Warner bros, Disney, and more who were once so great drop so hard and so painfully all at once.
It’s been like that for almost a decade, get over with it.
I know and it sucks too because these companies brought alot of entertainment and joy back in the day but now they decided to turn greedy and only caring about quantity over quality.

seeing where the plague was not only gone but looking like it was taken off with force

not seeing the stairwell but just knowing that more than likely all those drawings and doodles are just gone and covered over never to be seen again

Cartoon Network is breaking down right now. Farewell. I don’t want this channel to end because it was my childhood. I used to watch Cartoon Network since I was six or seven years old. Watching shows like Teen Titans Go! and The Amazing World of Gumball, followed by others. Those were the good times.
Cartoon Network isn't ending, just pivoting and restructuring. This is happening with all of cable as a whole, not just CN. Streaming is becoming the go-to platform for these studios, but it still has yet to make a substantial profit; once it does, then the main source for channels like CN and other will be the streaming services owned by their parent companies such as Max.

The closing of Blue Sky Studios back in 2021 broke me, but the MAN did closing of Cartoon Network Studios building broke me even more. Seeing the condition of the building especially with the plaque removed is just freaking devastating. Cartoon Network needs more support and care and thankfully we fans and the people that worked with Cartoon Network still have their backs after the crap WBD is fearing upon them.

It is really sad to see this building gone forever, but at least Cartoon Network Studios is still alright on another building, and so far, they give us a joy.

That plaque was where the co-creator of Tom and Jerry, Fred Flinstone, Scooby-Doo, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, and many, many more characters, made arguably his final greatest contribution to animation before he died. Seeing that gone, HURTS me on a deep level.

@@AmiMizuno2Relocating to a new location wasn't Zaslav's decision. Plans for the move were blueprinted back in 2020, before the WB/Discovery merger.

While this is tragic, I still have a hope for animation. Will Cartoon Network survive? With the way things are going, it’s unfortunately unlikely. It’s sad because I grew up watching Cartoon Network. However, I feel like if we can support independent creators, we can help keep animation alive.
Animation isn't dying, and neither is Cartoon Network. It's the building that's closed, not the network itself; the staff who used to work at the building have been moved to a new location.
Now the sign, the door design, the welcome mat and the Joseph Barbera plaque were officially gone for this iconic CNS building due to the new Second Century building. 😔

Them taking away the sign just hurts my soul😖, as of right now CN’s future is sort of on a hiatus, I hate that they had changed the dynamic to what the network represent. Cartoon Network had recently turned 31 yrs old and this what we have the legendary building full of childhood memories and historic moments🥺. Ted turner’s first mission in the early 90’s was to have the channel be drawn in to every age demographic. But it turns out that WB discovery just doesn’t care but make money.
This isn’t over, folks, not by a long shot. I don’t know how, but something tells me something will come along and give whoever ordered this attack on our childhood the comeuppance they deserve.
I wish I could of seen the building at least once before this happened. But they will bounce back. CN always rose above hard times and made comebacks and they will do it again. Their not nickelodeon or disney nvr learning from their mistakes. CN learns and or tries to adapt and grow every time. Have faith

I may have been more of a Nickelodeon kid than a CN kid, but it is sad to see so much history being erased from this building. I hope that in the new building, creators can add their signatures and drawing on the stairwell there.
I'm just the opposite, having always preferred CN to Nick (though I like(d) some Nick stuff and I was already an adult when CN launched in 1992) but I'm 100% with you on everything else.
How dare they remove Joe Barbera's plaque, probably threw it in the trash. Discovery have no respect for Warner's rich history whatsoever.

It's sad to see the Cartoon Network building gone after all these years especially after its announcement back a few months ago. But just seeing the legacy left behind from this building from the many amazing, talented people in the company being erased in just a snap like that is heartbreaking to see for what future generation will never get to see.
All good things must come to an end, I just didn't think I'd be alive to see it.
If I had bought the building you better believe most stuff is staying. Okay the sign outside and on the door makes more sense, but blatantly ripping off a momento of someones greatest achievement and childhood bringer just so damn disrespectful they’re there for a reason hence why they’re on places like park benches, statues, outside of bulidings by entrances so the memories of what once was is never forgotten and can always be honored

As someone growing up with Cartoon Network in the 2000s, it breaks my heart to see the once great studio washed away
This is home to one of the greatest if not the greatest cartoon channel of all time. All amazing ideas from dexters laboratory to present day. It hearts my heart to see that they moved. But in the words from familiar cartoon character “everything stays right where u left it”.
That's just a building. CN is eternal and its shows will forever be watched and loved. 💙
We got the WGA strike to end not too long ago. Surely we can get Zaslav out of office just like Disney did Chapek.

Like I said before Cartoon Network isn’t going to shut down for closing down the iconic building in Burbank although the channel isn’t dead but it’s like a person who’s feeling sick for a whole year and didn’t do anything. It’s just that they’re going to relocate the studio itself to a new building and that doesn’t mean that the studio itself will be gone forever or end it up absorbed to WBA like what they have done to HB back in 2001. This year has been gone too far for CN than it was last year but I sure hope next year, CN will get better and Zaslav will be getting retiring instead of getting fired due to his age.
Regular Show Megas XLR and the original Ben 10 and Omniverse are some of my al time favorite shows. Gonna miss this studio
Words seriously can't describe how heartbreaking this is to me. Cartoon network has always been my favourite channel of all time behind Nickelodeon and Disney channel. It like they always had something to watch every time when I was kid. Rather it was ed edd and Eddy, kids next door or dexter laboratory in the 2000s or total drama series, flapjack, or chowder in 2010s or adventure time, regular, Steven universe or uncle grandpa in the 2010 to 2020. I really hope that cartoon network would relieve itself and become the channel that I once love.
well, Warner Bros Discovery really didn't plan to shut down CN Studios, the reason culprit was the AT&T merger thing, someone told me about it. so AT&T was planning to shut down CN Studios

I’m really really sad for what Cartoon Network has gotten into. I used to watch cable a long time ago when I was little. My favorite cartoon back then was dexters lab. And I like fosters home as well. Nowadays, I don’t really watch cartoons that much and just watch CZcams instead. Reason is because there aren’t that many good cartoons to watch, and plus they canceled upcoming potential good cartoons. And instead, green light cash cow shows like Velma. Which I hate. I didn’t even continued after one episode, it ruined my relationship with the scooby doo franchise. I hope one day, just one day, Cartoon Network will get back up their feet and make good cartoons again, “good ones” and just reboots or spin offs, I mean new interesting ips. But all we have to do is pray. Anyway, I’ve been watching your videos since 2016. You doing a great job on these videos covering cartoon news. Keep it up! 😊

Reminds me of that one Cow and Chicken short where the Hanna-Barbera building is being demolished behind them. It didn't actually happen, and it's now an apartment complex outside of Universal, but I still feel the same thing
No matter how bad CN gets its fanbase is still loyal to a fault. That says a lot and i hope they can get back on their feet again

Cartoon Network Studios building may be gone but not forgotten, true it may not be the same but Cartoon Network Studios will still exist as a separate label for making original animated series while Warner Bros. Animation will focus on franchise and old IP. Cartoon Network will not end. True CN loses airtime but doesn’t mean CN will end. We already confirmed from CN and [as] president Michael Oulweleen. Also as I heard that AS’s Checkered Past is a ratings hit. Check it out

I may not have known this building existed until now and I have not been a big fan of Cartoon Network until recently through the *(dark)* power of streaming services giving me the ability to explore all these amazing shows *and* my love of animation that I didn't quite get to explore much of as a child without access to television channels throughout most of their life, but with that love now in my heart and as someone who never really could handle the passage of time and the loss of history I mourn it all the same.
