Dogs are so much more intelligent than people think. They analyze us and learn to understand functionalities of a human system and society without anyone needing to tell them. I had a shepherd from puppy to she died of age, in those 12 years I barely ever trained her, she was loyal and well behaved to the bone. I told her things a few times and she would get it. It was so effortless to do anything with her, that I would almost forget she was my dog and not the other way around. I could stroll around in peak traffic hours in a city and watch a video with headphones, completely emerged in it. She would stopped me if it was a red light and she would always seek eye contact with the drivers before crossing to make sure the drivers saw us. And she wasn´t trained to do any of that. She just understood traffic safety and that humans control the vehicle without anyone teaching her that. She understood humans so well, she would follow me everywhere and she learned how to interact in with humans in our way. Considering how difficult that is even for humans, dogs are damn good at adapting and learning! She would also teach other dogs to do the same so. Later I walked around with 12 shepherds, and people would think I am some type of dog genie. While it was really just my one loyal dog who was the pack leader and the rest just naturally followed. Dog training on easy mode.
She needs a button for that dog that says “best friend” or “important” or “family” or “special” or “unique” or “loved” and then she can tell the dog that he’s those things. That dog needs to know it’s loved.

It is said that language unlocks the mind. Even Helen Keller said so. For the longest time she couldn’t comprehend reality until she learned a language
There is a case of a young feral girl from soviet Russia that shows this extremely well. It is fascinating, she lived with livestock for the formative years of her life.
I have a border collie she is this terrifying without the buttons. She knows too much already if she had more power she would be absolutely unstoppable.
My cat has the buttons. Her understanding floors me. She understands the word outside and the concept of go. She will press "outside, go" and then wait for me to take her for a walk. She loves it. She also understands "love you".
😂😂😂😂 because those buttons are associated with going outside so she presses it, she doesn’t really know or understand the words, and a cat can’t understand “I love you” from a button 😂😂
Like koko the gorilla. She learned sign language and learned more than a thousand words. She was monitered and supervised by a female biologist. They became best friend. One day she told the biologist that she wanted to be a mom. All of her previous baby where captured or dead. So she gave her a small kitten. Her mother instinct was phenomenal. RIP KOKO Koko was self-aware to !!!!!
Honestly that makes sense, hears my thought, (it might not make sense lol) people have been breeding dogs for hundreds of years to be workers, pets, caretakers etc. so it makes sense that dogs could be a lot smarter then we think, we never give them a chance or teach them we just keep them dumbed down and maybe it’s so we can stay superior or we just never thought to maybe treat them like a toddler and kinda teach them to how to do things, we never give them a chance, hmmm maybe I’m going too far lol anyways that’s my thought
Bunny is actually a very happy dog Thanks to the buttons. She does not say “help I’m stuck in a dog body” she says “mom play with me” and then wags her tail.
I think it’s because it hinders the dog’s innocence in a way. It’s feeling the pressure of absolute silence and having to feel emotions that weren’t ever required before. He’s feeling the teetering possibility of failure like a human
Bunny was on antidepressants even before she had buttons to communicate. And the only difference is that humans are now aware of the feelings of animals and can no longer ignore how they treat them. Very telling
My favorite Bunny moment was when there was a person interviewing them for a local tv show or something. After a while, Bunny pressed "Stranger" "All done". Interview was over...
@@adamnasir2 You are correct and incorrect kinda. Yeah it has to know what the word means to use it in correct situations, it doesn't have to know the definition tho. Also i heard somewhere that the smartest doggos have a mental capacity of a 3-4 years old (not confirmed info, but it would check out) so learning the meaning of words would not be an impossible task.

I think all dogs have an existential crisis as a part of their nature because they take a lot of time to just sit and think. The dog you mention just has a practical way to communicate that.
There is a video of cat that runs to button in the middle of the night and press "stranger, stranger, stranger". Her lady owner came downstairs terrified😱
I've been saying this for years. Animals are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. If you live with another more cognitive sentient being for as long as dogs have, you're bound to learn how to emulate that level of cognition. At least, that's my stoner theory.
I fkn knew it! I knew when I saw Bunny and those buttons it was a bad idea. Dogs can communicate just fine, literally hundreds of word sounds can be understood by them, without buttons.

In the book of Jubilees which was omitted from the Bible but still remains in some sects, the serpent spoke to Eve. It's also said that before Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge that all the beast and animals including Adam and Eve all spoke with one tongue and only after they ate from the tree did God shut up the beasts and sent Adam Eve and the animals out into the world into their respective habitats outside of the Garden. The dogs very well are fully self aware!
Bunny was stressed and quite reactive. The buttons are a way for her to blow steam and communicate I guess. She understands that otter (the other dog) is an animal and that type of animal is a dog, but she doesn’t understand that she’s a dog. @@thepenguin9 For their humans to know it is helpful to have buttons, but if she just want to express her emotions she could bark in ways that would translate roughly to happy, sad, angry, excited.
@@jiffy3263 sometimes I think about bunny putting words together and asking why her and her human mom were different and I think of those memes using the monologue from sugar. When you are limited in communication, it's a recipe for anxiety and major depression. Bunny the dog might have not been able to express her self awareness had it not been for these buttons, but that doesn't mean that she would not have reached this point without being able to express these concepts anyways. I'm certainly not mute, but sometimes I go nonverbal and need to be left alone. If I were limited to expressing plain emotion and a family or friend kept trying to talk to me, my options would be pretty much limited to shoving them out of the room and locking myself in, and there's no way to reassure them that it's going to be okay or express my needs, and that causes them and me extra stress. This has happened before lmao and it is hell since the normal response is concern and trying to get me to return to normal behavior when I'm already stressed out by socialization and trying to avoid having a meltdown
It’s actually super helpful for dogs to learn things like this, dogs are super smart and even exercising their brain for 30 minutes is the equivalent to a couple hour walk.
I've seen some "Bunny" videos, but I've never seen Bunny express sadness. Some collage is actually doing a language study on Bunny. Bunny will say, "Love you, Mom" to its owner. My brother bought some buttons for his dog, a skye terrier. He recorded his voice on the buttons, like "outside", "water", "treat", and "laser " (his dog LOVED to chase a laser light). He had to take the "treat" and "laser" buttons away, because the dog would hit those buttons non-stop. 😂
Fun fact about Bunny is that she was depressed and anxious before they got her the buttons. They felt that the buttons may help her communicate her feelings better, so it’s not surprising that she’s having an existential crisis imo. Billi speaks is an account that shows a cat with buttons. I highly recommend it!!
Reminds of the gorilla that learned to communicate and communicated her parents were killed by poachers. Something along those lines. It's very interesting to see just how far the animal mentality goes. I for one think they know so much more than we give them credit for.
Giving a dog the means to learn further about itself because of clear communication. I think it increases their intelligence too and allows them to reflect. Some questions are human in nature.
All dogs have the minds of a small child. This dog is sad because they are creating it. The amount of time inside any dog would need to learn this shows the lack of outdoors it has in its life. Of course it’s sad. The owners are shit
I love Bili the cat with all the buttons. Her dad was out of the country and she kept pushing "where" "dad" or "dad" "home" "soon" and her mom said "he's not here. he's in Africa" And Bili just looked so stunned, walked over and pushed "What" Like, you made all these buttons, now have fun explain the concept of different continents to your cat!
Oh no!! 😂 I follow Bunny! I’ve never seen her press sad before after asking who she is. But she has argued with her human the she is not a dog but is in fact a human! 🤣🤣
Oh man, that's so sad. That's my constant worry that my dog may not be that happy, because they can get depression, anxiety, mood disorders etc. A way you can tell though is for looking out for the signs of a depressed dog etc.
If that were true, then they would have made languages hundreds of thousands of years ago. Maybe our own dogs and cats can comprehend those factors but dont asusme all animals can
Yea , I’ve only seen the Dog as doing very minimal communication with those buttons Which is still impressive But not to the point of being on antidepressants This park maybe exaggerated and now it’s being spread Go to the ladies Ch and ask She has an ig or YT

I looked right at my dog and got the chills 😭

dogs are a lot smarter than people give credit for. we measure intelligence by human standards, but we miss so much when we do that.

For anyone truly wondering. You can go the bunny's channel and watch for yourself. Sometimes it really is scary what she might be thinking.
