Forecasting No Time To Die
It's been an awful long wait to see James Bond return. The release of No Time To Die is approaching and looks like it will finally happen (although we've thought that many times before)
In anticipation of finally getting to see the 25th James Bond film and Daniel Craig's final film as our beloved secret agent, friend, fellow CZcamsr and Bond fan Jeroen aka DutchBondFan thought it was a good idea to discuss our feelings about the film for the last time before it comes out.
Here we are on Episode Two we talk about the story in No Time To Die. What is going on with James Bond? What are the secrets that will come out? What will pull him back into action mode? What do we make of a new 007 in the form of Lashana Lynch? Will the continuity they've been trying to do with the film finally payoff with this finale? There are so many questions.
Forecasting No Time To Die s a six-part collaboration series with @DutchBondFan The odd number episodes can be found at Jeroen's channel, while the even number ones can be found on my HaphazardStuff channel.
A special thanks to Thunderballs The James Bond Picture Archive, where many of the dynamite photos used in this series came from. Be sure to pay them a visit and enjoy some of the great images they have www.thunderballs.org/

Scouting for Girls “I wish I was James Bond” what a tune!
That’s their name!!!
The loose end is Bond dealing with his grief after Vespers death, in the books he went to her grave every year.
There's also the conversation they have on the train where she asks Bond why he chose the life of an assassin. He responds by saying he didn't have a choice. She argues that he does have a choice... then the fight ensues. I think we were meant to think that conversation had more of an effect on Bond's thinking than the film portrayed.
The whole script was centred around the notion of Bond finally deciding that espionage isn't for him, but the film is so badly done that a lot of the main points of the story are lost within the constant call backs to other better films. It's almost like the film can't decide whether to be an intense character driven story like Casino Royale, or a self aware fun piece of escapism like Die Another Day.
I think Madeline will be in the film a lot which is fine for me. I'm not a big fan of her but from the trailers it appears that Lea and Craig have more chemistry this time. I love the notion that the producers created the loose ends! It's so true. Overall, I think they will do a good job of tying Madeline's story into the villain's plot.
23:50 Sean looking very happy for some reason.
I'd have more confidence in this 'resolving loose ends' if there had been a consistent development process for 'NTTD' from the beginning. I remember waiting three years for 'Return Of The Jedi' (a movie that had legitimate loose ends to tie up) and learning a healthy dose of cynicism about film series' story pay-offs. If all of this leads up to Timothy Dalton's shock reveal as being cast as the diabolical mastermind behind it all, then I'm on board. Otherwise I cannot see how they can pull off a meaningful dramatic shock at this stage of the Craig era.
It opens with a flashback. This is confirmed. Also, i thought you would have seen the footage or the young girl madaline running in norway and chased by Rami. SPOILER BELOW...........
Safin kills madlines mother and Madeline runs across the ice, falling into it, safin shoots the ice to break her free and save's her. he flashback i beleive the sees madaline awaking with bond in bed, as she had the nightmare dream of the opening flashback.
MR White falls under the ice, Safin shoots at him as Madeline watches.
Craig's tenure is supposed to encompass Bonds story from Casino Royale to No Time to Die, the later representing the You Only Live Twice/On Her Majestys Secret Service arc.
GREAT video, Guys! Lots to think about.
Enjoying these videos guys. Hope these come out all the way up to launch. :)
I'd put good money on Safin's scheme revolving around bioweapons.
Do you think he's Dr No?
@@GrosvnerMcaffrey His name, Lyutsifer Safin, is so on-the nose that it certainly feels like an alias. There's a lot of architectural nods to Crab Key. I wouldn't be surprised if he was, but they've pulled that trick before in Spectre and I'm not sure if they'd want to pull it again.
That would be a bit too close to the bone in these times.
@@GrosvnerMcaffrey he is Dr No, he is into algae as a bioweapon and his name promotes real life Freemason Illuminati secret society lucefarianism and given this current Plandemic was all planned long ago!!
Look up Klaus Schwab and the "Great Reset"!! He's a real life Bond villain. Absolute satanic evil.
@@thejamesbondshow9754 don't even get me started on him that bastard even looks like Blofeld
Lucia! Great point, Dutch! I definitely would have liked to see her again.
Watching from Trinidad in the Caribbean.
Bond 26 is apparently going to start afresh .
I actually think Craig's last 3 films have been backwards. It should have gone: No Time to Die, Spectre, Skyfall. For the 50th anniversary of Dr. No in 2012, Bond would come face to face with Dr. No. In the last scene there will be a shot of a white cat jumping into someone's lap. Now in the 2nd film, Spectre, instead of trying to retroactively tie up the last 3 films, Blofeld can legitimately claim that he orchestrated the last villain instead of just bullshitting. Next, in Skyfall, we face an aged Bond getting betrayed by Madeleine and being declared dead by Mi6. He must return from the dead in a new world that he doesn't recognize to save M from Silva
Got high hopes for NTTD, seems like this time they want to go back to the classic pre-casino royale Bond formula with an actual global threat that Bond is up against. Spectre tried a bit to shift back to this formula but the foster brother twist just screwed it all up.
Not a fan of Craigs movies though, they come off more as artistic 'will get the award' movies with a British assassin as the lead. Skyfall especially...
Also, to add my two cents to the whole rumour brigade: the whole Safin is Dr. No thing for me has alot of credibility, alot of the visuals seem to suggest this and I can see Craigs Bond especially muttering something like 'Dr. No, time to die', before a cold execution.
Additionally I also think the plot point has something to do with Safin releasing some sort of bioweapon, a virus perhaps...references are made to this in the trailers: Bond showing Madeleine his hand and saying 'do you know what this is' and another scene where some sort of mist surrounds Bond and other people are backing away from him, implying the mist is some sort of infective substance perhaps. Bond might get infected and therefore has 'no time to die' as he's busy with all the Madeleine stuff. Makes sense imo.
Great theory on the play with the title!
@@DutchBondFan Thanks, I'm a bit of an overanalyser when it comes to Bond movies but the whole 'Safin releasing a virus and Bond becoming infected' I'm almost certain on, title fits and it also gives Craigs Bond a ready made reason to die....therefore bringing Craigs 'series within a series' arc to a definite end.
Also bonds sees Q at the end and Q says he thought he had left the service
I love your videos but I can't watch this one until the film is out
I totally understand! If it’s any consolation Jeroen & I are probably completely off on all our predictions anyway. We’ll have to do a follow up video saying “Geez! We were really wrong on everything huh?”
@@HaphazardStuff I actually hope we're wrong on a lot of our hunches!
@@DutchBondFan me too
Hope to see you both in the UK for the Premiere! Although I'm not sure that the travel restrictions will be lifted.
Regardless of the spoiler thing, im gonna watch the movie, man. Im gonna watch it.

Maybe, this (bulllshit) secret is that:
Madeline is Dr.No (since she's a dr.)
I didn't think they'd do the OHMSS thing because of that whole socio-political thing about "female characters dying to give the male character something to fight for" or "bad things happening to women in service to character building for a male" ... There was no way they'd do that (kill off Madeline) due to current politics.
And its been done too many times lol
I am very pessimistic about this film. I actually am tempted to read spoiler articles before I go and see the film. Cause if Bond dies, and nome becomes 007, I am sitting this one out.
Im so glad they are continuing the story with NTTD. It feels so right to tie everything in with casino. If done properly this could be amazing. I think NTTD will be amazing. Chin up. I dont see any negatives about this film. Looking too deep into it really, just enjoy it for what it is.
I can actually see the film being a subtle bomb at the box office after all the bullshit surrounding production, re-shoots and constant delays.
Whatever happens, it was all Blofeld's doing. Just don't ask him to explain.
Come on....release the movie. Eough build-up and hype. We already should be on to the New James Bond and next movie already.
I mean were in a pandemic lol
@@Anthonycheesman33 Not just that, Craig also injured himself filming it.
In Casino Royale Bond was a badass, in QoS he was an emo. In Skyfall he is a cynical old man. In Spectre he is a sarcastic chaperone. I don’t expect anything from No Time To Die, Bonds ‘playing god’ gives a horrible moral authority vibe which I don’t want from Bond. The producers doubled down on ‘emotional’ Bond way too hard in this ark. I hope to god they reboot to the 60s and take Bond back to being what he was.
Hey John did you hear about the rumours of Bond becoming a father and having a daughter with maddline that was leaked last year I think this is a bad idea like Bond a spy and a womaniser not a family man.
I did hear that rumor. We do bring it up during one of the episodes.
Madeleine story should have never been continued. Her character is dull and uninteresting.
Disagree, Not only is she beautiful, this film gives them the chance to expand her story and make up for lost in spectre.
I legit don't even want to see this movie. I'm moving over to Mission: Impossible fandom and sticking with old reruns of the Prisoner in the mean time. I am not a number I am a free man.
I will not be stamped, indexed or numbered. A great series, and painfully relevant now. I visited Portmeirion (aka the Village) some years ago, a wee bit pricey but well worth it. Lovely place.
We still have old Bond to look back on. I'd suggest with MI that Cruise is probably getting a bit old although the films have been fairly consistent.
No time to die is going to be woke. Nerdrotic calls it “no time to me too.” Lol
oh jesus. please stop with the woke shit.
@@garethsmith6611
Tell that to Barbara Broccoli.
i've been so tired of the freaking craig movies. they aren't bond (there was absolutely no reason to reboot the series whatsover). they're just a crap big budget netflix series. i hope they go back to making bond movies after this stupid thing finally comes out, and i hope they remember bond movies can be FUN and CREATIVE. stop being so freaking DRAB wilson and brocoli!
I agree. The Craig films feel more like Jason Bourne than the James Bond we know and love.
@@ivanivez7456 Quantum maybe, Skyfall and Spectre less so.
if u look at the videolink below, u find an intr storyline about no time to die, or should called 007, becuse it has a new 007, also the swan story is gonna suck, i dont think no bondfan want to hear about that and this movie sure will suck as a bond movie, and maby ok as an action movie, depends how woke the movie is, becuse its more about the ladies story in this one, noomies, and swans. Anna del rey short cameo in the video before she dies, and then maby also craig. the test audiens was piss off of what they saw back in jan -20
