    No excuses. My dad is 73, just finished cancer treatment 2 months ago, and also has a collapsed lung plus diabetes. He still finds time to exercise and has lost weight. His goal was to JUST walk and stay up a bit. He beat it. His next goal was to make it to the mail box. He beat it. Then around the neighborhood block. He's working on it. Sometimes he's out of breathe and has to take breaks. He gets excited about MOVING his body. Something the fat acceptance take for granted. If he keeps going at the rate he's at he'll be able to reverse his diabetes.

    As an essential worker, I still take 10-20 minutes to do a workout session. If I can't work out, I photograph on a short walk to keep on track. I barely have time to take a bite a eat, yet I try to eat healthily. Being on the frontline of this pandemic only encouraged me to keep my routine and never give up. Papa Swole is a big motivator for me right now alongside My Thoughts Will Probably Offend You and Every Damn Day Fitness.

    Today I started a 30 day no sugar no processed foods challenge. Yesterday, I also started doing at-home workouts in the morning. You, Michelle, ObesetoBeast, and many others have inspired me to get back on track with my fitness journey and I’m excited to see where it takes me!

    I was never super obese but I was heavier for my height than I wanted to be. I felt like shit all the time and couldn’t conceive a baby. I started my weight loss journey and was at 40 pounds loss when I found out I was pregnant with my son :) I gained back some of the weight during the pregnancy but now he’s 9 months old and I’m back at moving toward the right weight again. I also have PCOS and hypothyroidism which makes it harder to lose weight than those without it, BUT that doesn’t stop you. If you’re determined and want to change you can with determination and sticking to your goals

    I workout with my Kids all the time. We do ladder drills, yoga, body weight stuff and they are often my extra weight when doing strength training. They love it! They cheer me and my husband on when we are doing kickboxing. If I need an alone time workout, I just wait until they nap or sleep. Kids aren't an excuse...except when they are infants.

    The "cockroach" she's referring to that won't die is basically people fighting to stay healthy and trying to stay healthy. If that's the case, I'd rather be a frickin cockroach living long enough to see my children grow, as opposed to a lazy POS eating myself into an early grave

    I'm a binge eater and since being in quarantine I find its way easier to be accountable because I have time to cook proper food instead of coming home tired from work and ordering food and binging. I find it's easier to workout because I have all the time in the world. Yes food is good everyone loves food but why is no one addressing how much resources these people are consuming!? Shouldn't we be trying to eat less so there is more to go around.. I don't understand it. Thank you for the no bullshit lecture , i get so annoyed of the sugared self love crap . Sometimes you need a good slap in the face to get your ass in gear! keep it up!

    Your scathing reviews and counter points warm the cockles of my heart. Do I have weight issues? yeah. Do I struggle with food relationships and boredom? yeah. Do I have any right to play victim? No. Levels of No. No with nope sauce and a sprinkle of STFU..no. Thank you for the kick in the butt to stay focused and stay aware of my eating habits, exercise, and mental state during this time. I work for a police department. Yeah I'm stressed. Yeah I wish there was something to do after work. Yeah I'd love to stuff my face when I go home and pass it off as acceptable because..."plague". But it's bull. And you keep me from validating the voices just like hers that say "Soothe yourself with comforts no matter how destructive they are...you deserve it! Anyone who doesn't agree and support that isn't good for you!". I am my own worst enemy or my own biggest ally. Thank you for always making me cut the BS of coddling and forcing me to own my actions and future. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay you.

    During this quarantine, im intermittent fasting and I’m more active than I’ve ever been. I’m going for daily hour long walks in the park (just tried running for the first time in a while and I feel great!) and I’m cooking nutritional meals packed with veggies. I have a congenital heart defect and have had 2 open heart surgeries. I’m at risk for this virus so I’m trying everything in my power to keep healthy and strong. I still have a long way to go but I don’t want to give up now. These “self love” people are delusional- self love isn’t eating Oreos, self love is taking care of yourself and being honest with how you are approaching your health!

    My quarantine workout consists of body weight and band exercises to treat my chronic illness (MS for twelve years). I don’t fight this with the fat acceptance people because I’m making a choice to exercise and care for my body. There is no “diet culture”. It’s called BEING HEALTHY AND EXERCISING.

    Even in quarantine I have been going out for walks daily! It makes me feel so much better and I’ve lost 3 pounds. Your health is important, and a quarantine is no excuse to ignore your health.

    I started getting fit over a decade ago while on house arrest. The ankle bracelet would sometimes dig into my ankle. This stay-home-social-distancing shit is nothing compared to that.
