I have followed alyse for years, and here’s what I really think people are ruffled about: she had an eating disorder, then she went vegan, then she went omnivore, then she went carnivore. People who originally came to her with EDs or as vegans (or both), which make up 95% of her audience, are now confused. And in each phase she says she feels the best she’s ever felt. No, she is not responsible for her followers.. but there are a lot of younger women who follow her who are upset by the abandonment and extremes. I see both sides. I followed alyse because she use to live in a van and she moves constantly to different places, which is her content I personally like to watch. Confident girl, I like her open mindedness, I think her content just doesn’t sit well on her platform anymore despite the attempted rebrand (she use to be “raw alignment”) and I take everything with a grain of salt as she is not a dietician nor does she cite peer reviewed research studies.
Beyond her diet, the girl can't stick to anything. She's flighty as all hell. She's just happy to make money off of the people who follow her. Thank goodness you maintain some skepticism. She has too many people who blindly follow her.
me at three she also sold or conducted “health” programs, for which she is completely unqualified. She kept her videos about her crappy version of her unhealthy version of veganism and continued to profit from them while claiming this diet made her unhealthy, completely irresponsible. But your bang on, she wasn’t practicing a proper vegan diet and was extremely low on calories and protein and that’s why she felt like crap, so of course she feels better now meat has more calories and now she’s not calorie deficient.
People change a lot over the years, I don’t think it’s fair to hate her for changing. We’re evolving, not to mention she was a young girl when she started youtube. It was obvious she would grow and change up her lifestyle.
Like many others have said, she “feels great” no matter what she eats. Which is always the most extreme diets.
Jesse Gabrys exactly. Too much chasing extremes.
She most likely feels better on each of these diets because she was probably suffering from some sort of ED and was nutrient deficient or calorie deficient. I don’t know what her diet was before veganism but there is a good chance it was deficient so add in a bunch of micronutrients that she wasn’t getting enough of before then of course she would feel better. Time goes on she continues or raw or some sort of plant based but she doesn’t do this diet right and is missing calories and nutrients as she has removed food from her diet but not replaced it with another source of those nutrients. Now she goes on this carnivore diet, I’m pretty sure she feels great because she is finally eating enough calories and is getting lots of iron. It’s totally possible to get iron on plant based but I’m going to assume she was likely not eating enough iron rich plant foods as she was not very diverse in her eating. There is no need to go to an extreme on any diet, omni, plant based or vegan, and I hate to say it there is probably a way to even be less extreme even as a raw foodist. Whatever diet someone does they need to be balanced in it and ensure they are getting enough of all the nutrients we need.
@Swolenormous I had to stop watching her a couple of years ago, before she quit veganism. She would just eat 800-1200 calories EVERY day. It was like watching someone starve themselves.
I think a coronary bypass is more extreme than eating the only diet proven to prevent and reverse this disease. (A whole food vegan diet. )
@@NORMLfan13 Super restrictive eating can be very extreme, I had an ex who's skin turned yellow and hair started to fall out because she refused to eat enough. I hope she got help, might be dead now :(
As everyone else has said, she has a disordered eating pattern. When she went plant based, she ate no fats and only carbs. She moved to eating like, only zucchini and fruit eventually, doing several extended fasts... of course she'd 'feel better' by eating more calories. However, for people who have watched her before, it's very clear she's doing this for the publicity/money. Even on carnivore, she eats like half a steak and has a coffee and that's it for the day. She should not be an example for anyone.
Natasha Romanova exactly!!!! No matter what she’s eating, it’s always an extreme because she never truly healed from her eating disorder! It’s just manifesting in extremes.
If she was vegan and ate more calories she would’ve felt better that’s true. Meat has more calories so that’s why she felt better.
I became vegan because my gut health was awful, and after doing the elimination diet, I found that my body just really doesn't like meats and dairy at all. I also have a step-dad, who I love, who found gut health in more of a meat-based diet. We are all different, and it's ignorant to say that what works for one person will work for everyone. If you're having issues, eliminate trigger foods whatever they may be, period. I have felt so much better in the two years that I've been vegan, but I know plenty of people who feel worse. Everybody is different
Yes i always say one size doesn't fit all
You’re in the minority in the “vegan community” though. The majority seem to love preaching, condescending and love explaining why they’re better than everyone else.
Wish more were like you, but the superiority-complex delusion vegans are always the louder voices in the room
Omg a sane post!!! Good for you doing things correctly, vegan it up!!
@@hawkeytown Thank you! 😊
Yeah have to be more meat based and I miss my veggies but can not eat them without stomach pain. Never really like fruit, but num num veggies. 😔 But I am so much healthier eating mainly meat and dairy. 🧘🏋️
Alyse was known for eating very unbalanced diets (she used to be known as Raw Alignment), eating a fruit-heavy, high-carb, low-fat, low-protein diet for the most part. Vegan can be done well or done badly, in the same way omnivore can be done well or done badly.
Btw..... went lacto-ovo vegetarian in late 1991...... vegan in 1993.... and I feel great. Ran a half-marathon a month before my 55th birthday. Your mileage may vary (literally and figuratively I guess).
Well she always feels great when she does another unbalanced diet. She never heard of balanced eating tbh.
Semi yup
Nope she has a ED
vegan fit mumma what ? How so , she went the other extreme but trying out a certain food diet doesn’t exactly scream disorder . Your name says vegan some would consider that a disorder but I would say it’s just the way you choose to eat right . People are paleo , keto , vegan . I agree in eating in the middle I eat balanced macro counting . I’m sure you have reasons for why you eat the way you do . You don’t have to say she has an ed
Beast bombshell hero
Hi!
I had an eating disorder for almost 10 years. Over-eating, under-eating, purging, extreme diets, raw veganism, etc.
I’m not the girl in the video obviously BUT I can tell, because I’ve been in therapy and hospitals for it, that she’s switching from extreme diet (no fat, only carbs raw veganism) to another extreme diet (only meat and coffee), because her ED is manifesting in new ways. She’s not starving herself, but she’s doing *extremely controlled eating* which is a form of an eating disorder.
It’s not the fact that it’s “paleo”, “vegan”, “carnivore”, but the fact that no matter *how she labels it* it’s always the most extreme side of that label with the most restrictive calories.
@Alex Lynn back when I watched her content a couple of years ago, she hardly ever got over 1200 calories
I'm gonna be a CarniVegan, where I eat both meat and veggies. Oh wait that's an omnivore lol.
I've been vegan for 13 years and have never had a single health problem. My blood work is always fantastic across all biomarkers. I've weight lifted for nearly a decade with my father who has been a bodybuilder for 55 years. I've also had a healthy natural pregnancy and homebirth completely vegan and astounded my midwives with my health.
Alyse is reckless with her platform. I have been watching her videos since she created her channel 5 or 6 years ago. She has never had a balanced diet. She started off eating nothing but fruit, doing multiple different juice and water fasts, and lying about her health to her viewers while promoting extremely unhealthy food choices.
She claims to be interested in "challenges" and "experiments" but fails to do even the most basic things to quantify her results of said "experiments". I was super interested in seeing some bloodwork or even a physical. Everything with her is "oh this is my personal journey" so she doesn't have to be held accountable for the garbage advice she spews to her audience of mostly young impressionable girls. She did it as a vegan and has been doing it even more aggressively as a nonvegan the past year.
She then charges thousands of dollars for online mentorships. Its infuriating regardless of being vegan or non vegan. She has gone on record that she isn't someone who researches things before doing something. Not exactly what you want in a mentor. But I guess if you want to be mentored by a 25 year old youtuber you deserve to be ripped off.
Vegan 13 years?! That’s amazing! I’ve been vegan for 4 months aha and I hope to continue! I’m very healthy :)
I know quite a few people who were vegan until it made them sick and either went to vegetarian or carnivore and their health improved a lot
The big problem with Raw Alignment aka Elyse, is that she never did a sustainable, balanced vegan diet. She was like the other famous ex vegan, Rawvana-months of raw only, extensive water fasts, fruit only phases, months on the Appalachian trail eating only granola bars. Always calorie deficient, and crazy low in essential fats. Then she decided to start eating meat without telling her audience for months while still selling her vegan e-books and coaching plans-just like Rawvana. That’s why people are upset at her. She promoted terrible extreme diets, got sick from them, and still profited off them, all while lying to her audience. Then she finally starts to eat a little bit balanced and blames veganism for her issues (she tried blaming mold for a while too) when she NEVER ate a sustainable vegan diet to begin with. Oh, and to try to soften the blow and avoid backlash when she finally did come clean, she release a coloring book. So, there’s that too.
Ally Cat what about people who do and still have issues? Let’s be honest with ourselves please
@@dogsarebetter issues with what diet? What kinds of issues. Please be specific.
Penelope416 the vegan diet. Regardless of the subtype
There are thousands of ex vegans, 85+% of anyone who ever went vegan, who realized it didn't work for optimal health. Not just fringe vegans who only ate raw/fasted/drank their pee/other strange variant...I was vegan for 8.5 years, it worked until it didn't work any more. And there is a HUGE community of ex vegans who had shared symptoms.
@@jasminemariedarling 85+%?? Stop pulling numbers out of your arse. 😂
It makes me kind of sad how many people view veganism as an "extreme diet." Veganism is more about ethics than anything but that seems to go over everyone's head. When it comes to Alyse and other raw vegans, these people undereat and typically do not eat a balanced diet of various plant foods. In most cases, their health issues should be blamed on a lack of balance in their diet, not the diet itself. I'm not here to say being vegan works for everyone, because I know it doesn't, and I definitely do not want to force this on anyone. just wanted to state my thoughts. I think many people see veganism the wrong way. Again, I'm not claiming it's for everyone, but it does work for many people including myself. Just something to keep in mind :) Love your videos!
Sophie Thelk I don’t think he’s saying that veganism is an extreme diet, or hardly anyone in these comments. I think it’s more that HER vegan diet was extreme, which only takes watching a few of her old videos to deduce. Veganism is fine, but she did it terribly and blamed her shitty eating habits for it when it was really her disordered eating.
True! I’m completely vegan and eating various different plant based foods has been amazing for me!
This comment is such on point! :)
Same. Vegan for 6+ years and it has been amazing✨
Well, veganism is quite extreme, vegetarianism less so. You're cutting a lot of food groups.
If I went vegan I think I'd raise my own animals and eat them. I agree that it's about the ethics and not the diet.
She hasn’t been vegan for almost a year. So it’s not a recent change. She only recently did the 30 day carnivore diet. So it’s a little misleading.
She never was vegan. Veganism isnt a diet. She might hav been plant based. She admit she didn't even go on the carnivore diet if u watch the video, she also had coffee, macha, and im guessing dairy as well that she admits to in the video.
She probably got paid by butcher box each time someone used her promo code to get a discount. And thats probly why she lied so much to try to encourage people to buy from butcher box so she can get paid. Doing what she did seems illegal and agianst youtubes policies.
Watch freelees response video to her video.
She lied alot in the video. She might also b lying about feeling good on the diet.
Vegan here, the problem with these people is that their diets are way too extreme. Balance is key. I really wish that all the animals that are being raised for food could live and eat the way they are supposed to and not suffer so much cruelty.
Lol at a vegan saying others are more extreme. Silly ass vegans
Ren Feral I agree! As a vegan, I am a big fan of a giant bowl of oatmeal with flaxseed and blueberries in it. I am a fan of rice and vegetables and tofu. I love beans and lentils. Living on just fruit or just salad is plain crazy!
That video was clearly a big promotion, links to meat companies, she is clearly in it for the money and the clicks
Abhaye Callicharan She’s a businesswoman and not a content creator.
@@louisanelson7948 She's both. That's the thing.
Yes so true
I’m so sick of other vegans making all vegans look bad with how they react to things like this. The vegans that yell at people for making their own decisions are the reason when people find out I’m vegan they roll their eyes. IM NOT LIKE THEM. I don’t care if you eat meat around me. I’m not going to criticize you and tell you all that’s wrong with processed meat while you eat it. I’m not a DICK. And I’m tired of being lumped in with all those self- righteous morons. I eat the way I eat because it’s better for me and my condition. If you ask me questions I’ll answer. But I will NEVER make someone feel bad about what they do with their own body. Screw bad vegans.
Summer Taylor I agree! I hate how much hate and judgement that I face for being vegan. I don’t judge or hate people for their diets. All I want in this life is to actually have a life and not spend it crippled up in pain. All I want is to actually live; not die in my 40s because the standard American diet was slowly killing me. Why is it so wrong that we want to take care of our bodies and save our lives? And it is a wonder thing that animals don’t have to die to be our food anymore; just an added bonus of going vegan.
I was vegan for 4 years. I also felt horrible while I was vegan, and later found out I had an issue with grains, legumes, and fruits that are high in fructose. My body was always having an inflammatory response and my gut was literally being destroyed by the dietary intolerance I have. I started eating meat and stopped eating fruit all the time, as well as grains and legumes, and with that my body stopped having inflammatory responses. After returning back to an omnivore diet and discarding grains and legumes, my skin cleared up, my guts healed, my body strengthened, and my focus was a lot better. I would have probably stayed vegan if I didn't have this dietary intolerance, but because of this I realize that I have to do what is right and healthy for me.
I've been on an elimination diet now for 2 years ( I didn't know it was called that at first ) I'm now on a whole food plant based diet. I refuse to use the term vegan because quite frankly, I believe there is too much stigma with that "title". Now for some context I had some serious gut issues for well over a decade and no amount of tests, or visits to the GP was getting me anywhere they just wanted to put me on medication ( which didn't work ) and send me on my way. After 6 years I got extremely fed up of this and just put up with what I thought were the cards I had been dealt with regards to my health. I did this before going back to the doctors after 2 years of constant suffering only to be met again with just take this pill and if that doesn't work increase the dose. I was bored one day and watched a few "vegan" documentaries on the internet and one said that meat can cause an inflammation response in the human body. So I thought sod it, I'm just going to try cutting it out for a while and see what happens........... well turns out that my issues started to clear up very quickly so at that point ( 2 years ago ) I went vegetarian. I was still getting an occasional flair up but it was far more manageable. I did this up to 2 months ago where I decided that it was a good time to cut out all meat products entirely and as of today, I have had zero gut issues.I can not tell you how great I feel to be able to get a full nights sleeps sleep without having to get up several times to vomit or have constant pain which has stopped me going to work on several occasions at a time. Now this is what worked for me. I don't try to push this on anyone nor should I think people should have it forced on to them. I'm all for educating and then making informed decisions on what is best for you. Yes we are all human but we are all different so what works for me won't always work for you. When it comes to health and nutrition one size definitely does not fit all!
Dirkinrogue I get inflammation from meat as well. I have a couple of autoimmune disorders and I flare up bad over meat or dairy. I am a vegan because it is the only way that I can live without pain. People criticize me for being vegan and are just hateful, but all I want is to live without severe pain. I am 37 and would be crippled by 40 if I continued on the standard American diet.
Unnatural vegan did a good a video on this. Raw alignment went from a very unhealthy 80.10.10 to carnivore. She can't just do things in a way that is healthy she just does everything from one extremely to another.
Alyse jumps from extreme to extreme. I am glad she didn't stick to veganism because she was clearly ill in her videos before switching. She is doing this for views because she knows people are enraged by it. Her old channel name was raw alignment. She really needs balance.
she was sick because she was hardly eating. she mainly fasted, juice fasted, and ate all raw foods and didn't supplement at all.
April yeah but clearly her body had some type of intolerance to types of fruits and the other bullshit she was eating
It's about health y'all! Remember that. 🙋♀️
Dash thank you!!! I’ve tried every diet under the sun and didn’t understand why I wasn’t discovering my optimal nutrition. Then after thanksgiving I vowed to myself that I would try another round of elimination diet but for at least 2 months or more because I felt like 30 day resets weren’t enough time. Then I clicked on your video and you confirmed what I was thinking! Thanks for bringing some light and understanding to what I was thinking. I feel even more motivated to continue trying.
I tried to go carnivore because a CZcamsr doctor said that it works well for people with Crohn's Disease but unfortunately it didn't work in my case. Every morning if I wasn't fasting, I would eat a ribeye steak and eggs and within 1 hour I would end up in the bathroom for 1/2 hour. So I am going back to Keto and eating chicken, nuts, eggs, avocado, protein smoothies and non starchy vegetables.
I agree. I eat a variety of whole fruits, vegetables, and meats. I eliminated the soda and now I no longer have allergies, I used to get sick every 3 months now I don't. I lost 30 lbs of fat (I am a 39 year old male 5'8 tall I was 180 and now 150 LBS) I have been on this lifestyle for 9 months now. It was hard at first but with hard work it gets easier. I also do not have acid reflux anymore. I feel like I am in my 20's again and I have more energy than my younger co workers. In my elimination process I found processed carbs were my issue. Great videos. Love them all.

I was vegan for 10 years, for ethical reason, and frankly I was better on it for a long time because I didn’t know I was lactose intolerant, so a lot of skin and digestive problems cleared up.
But over the past 3-4 years my clinical depression worsened to the point that I was not taking care of myself, so I was barely eating, when I did it was quick processed starches, so not getting enough nutrition at all, my hair was thin, my nails were brittle, my hormones were all over the place. I didn’t have any energy when I wasn’t in a bad depressive episode, so I wasn’t moving much, my muscles were degrading, I was only gaining fat in my stomach area.
I ate eggs again because it was the most nutrition I could get in the brief window I would bother to feed myself. I was upset about it and I cried and it took me a couple of months to swallow meat without gagging.
The best I can do now is only eat from animals that were allowed to graze etc. and avoid untraceable or factory farm meats/eggs.
Sorry for the wall of text, there was no short answer.
Long story short it didnt work for you, there's no shame in that. Every body is different. Veganism cleared my skin, helped my stomach issues, and made me happier. My hair is thick and healthy, my nails are strong, my energy level is great, thank goodness. I'm open for change if my body requires it, because I want the best for my body, same as you. Best of luck!
I went paleo after 16 years of very healthful vegetarianism. I felt a lot better and my IBS improved dramatically.🤷🏻♀️
No she doesnt. Or at least, she probably felt great when going vegan first time. You dont feel great over night changing diet. These types of video's only Serve one purpose, getting reach through these 'controversial' video's. Has in itself nothing to do with veganisme or carnivore diet
Actually you do.
I tried vegan for 9 months. My hair began to fall out. I put fish back into my diet and IMMEDIATELY (1 day) felt better and hair shedding decreased by half.
Cant this people just eat normal BALANCED diets🤷♀️
Hey papa, I was vegan but slowly added animal protein back into my diet the last 2 months after 12 years. My strength when lifting the big four has increased so quickly and recovery time is just insane. Im prepared for the backlash I’m gonna get from my community, but the health benefits are really just undeniably outweighing it.
lol bullshit
April haha, @natureintotality on IG, feel free to check out what I eat. 🤷🏻♀️
I do Keto. Not full carnivore but around 60 carbs a day. It was the only way I could lose weight. I’m still Keto because physically I’ve never felt better.
There's a study out that shows grass fed beef is worse for the environment that factory farmed.
Source?
Lol how
Come on, are you serious? I guess they can create a "study" to "prove" anything nowadays. Ruminant animals replenish the soil and can bring dead land back to life. All your precious veggies are grown with the blood/bones/manure of dead animals. Your vegan diet is not cruelty free at all.
I’m a 15 year old girl. I love being healthy. I made big changes to my lifestyle in the past year. I was never overweight, and didn’t have any immediate health issues. But I wasn’t eating well and I knew it would catch up with me. I slowly made the transition and now I only eat whole healthy foods. My family stills eats the SAD. They constantly make fun of me and say that I “need to enjoy my youth”. Do you have any advice on how to make them stop? Or even better, make them eat the same way I am? I hate how trying to be your best self is so looked down upon. Thanksgiving was the worst, had to make all my own food, like every other day of the year.
You can't make anyone else do anything they don't want to. You can continue to make good choices for yourself in spite of what others think. You can also say "I intend to enjoy my youth and the rest of my life too" when anyone comments.
It is amazing that you are learning to eat healthy at a young age. I wish I had known to focus on health when I was your age. The standard American diet was slowly killing me. I have two autoimmune disorders and hypothyroidism. I am overweight and am struggling to get the weight off. On a vegan diet, I am feeling better and losing weight. If I had known that I could live pain free by going vegan, I would have done it much younger. Maybe I could have enjoyed my twenties and my early thirties.
all her diets through out the years have been extremely restrictive unbalanced and unhealthy . she cant stick to any diet because they're all so restrictive and unsatisfying
She is still struggling with her eating disorder. As said, she seems to be on the extreme ends of diets. But all her diets have been very restrictive. I hope she finds a nice balance in the near future, but I really hope her audience doesn't try to follow this aspect of her lifestyle. Here's to hoping this is just a small trial for her.
That's what I thought, too. Girl has not recovered from an ED, it's just masked a *little* better
This is why I love Papa Swolio so much. He doesn't shit on veganism or keto or carnivore diet, he knows there's not a one size fit all diet.
Keto felt AWFUL the first two weeks and i was thinking, okay this isn't going to work. Then I pushed on for 2 months and hey it turned out being amazing
The 30 day comment is spot on. It’s absolutely absurd to think 30 days is enough time for significant and noticeable change
I want to see a video of Alan Roberts or James Linker titled 'I didn't wash my hair for 30 days'. The rant or reasoned argument would be phenomenal.
So she gets sponsored for her diet? While there are so many people without food? 🤦
Why does your diet have to make you a member of a certain group? 😂 Is that like the new what's your zodiak sign?
So here is where I am. I’m 28 5.10 165. Rock climber. Workout hard 4-5 times a week climb outside three times a month. Unfortunately I moved away from the mountains for grad school. Since I have been here and don’t have easy access to climbing I have gained 20 lbs. I’m not cut anymore. My diet is actually better and I am drinking less and don’t smoke weed anymore. Im in Missouri and don’t have access. I don’t know why I have gained weight and can’t get cut. Everything is better except I can’t climb. I used to climb instead of working out in a gym. I would climb for three hours then work out. Now I work out with dips, pull-ups, curls, triceps extensions, bench, squats, and full kettle bell workouts and can’t get cut. Any ideas? I’m stronger but have built fat around my core. Any advice form the swole fam?
i kicked sugar last January (sick as a dog for like a month) and i didn't see dramatic change for at least a month and a half. Weight loss didn't occur until like 2 ish months later.
💙💙💙 love your content. Thank you for your honesty and humor
2:18-2:28 PERFFFECCTTT I wish so many people just thought this. Love your stuff man!
Didn't she say 30 day challenge tho? How is that the same as "gone carnivore"?
If I eat vegetarian for a one day challenge, does that mean I'm "going vegetarian" too?
Doesn't really make sense. It's like putting on a fat suit for a day and claim you went obese.
I agree with your point on building habits. People want to build a habit but don't want to endure the daily effort it takes to actually cement the habit. I struggle with MH and my symptoms are more like ADD, so 21 days doesn't really apply to/work for me. Daily reminders and effort is neccessary. Getting to the point where health is a habit is hard work and people give up on it so quickly bc they don't want to do the footwork
I love your videos because you focus on being healthy individually rather than crucifying people for being different! You have given me such a good and different outlook on food.
Ahhhh, I'm early! I've got just enough time to watch this before my next class, and I'm so stoked!
I really appreciate your take on extremes. My brother did the elimination diet as a last resort to help with his eczema and it did wonders for him! For some reason I never thought to try it myself, I’ll definitely give it a go at some point.
The 21 days to make a habit doesnt mean you cant determine your habits sooner, it just refers to the minimum time until something becomes automatic for you, where you no longer have to think about it and you just do it
She Shoulda kept the name raw allignment at least now its more accurate to what
OMG i requested this! Thank youuuu! (despite being vegan haha 🙈(
I think habit is more of a subconscious reflex thing whereas choosing to do something is a conscious thing. It's important to keep choosing the right things then after a while it just becomes as instinctual as eating bathing or shitting. Before that it's not easy to change your lifestyle to fit in this new thing that you're not used to doing but if you keep at it everyday then it will become just another part of your day which is why so many ppl "fail" at changing their lifestyle, they don't keep at it for long enough, then give up because it takes too much energy to get over that hurdle of trying to remember to do it instead of just making it a normal part of your schedule. When I started taking this seriously I had to write out a schedule of where to fit in working out/flexibility/mobility/cardio/yoga training/etc every week for about 6 months then I could just wake up everyday and know what I need to do instead of having to psych myself up everytime before I did it, it just became my normal routine.
With that thumbnail my first thought was "...went carnivore and she ate her dog."
Omg the pooping clip! It had me dying. That was me when I did keto when I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. It helped me lose so much weight though and I'm not a prediabetic. I still have weight to lose.
I saw this on Facebook yesterday was wondering if UD make a video about it I like that she started rated meat and dairy but I don't agree with the only meat and no veggies
I used to follow Aylse’s channel but stopped after her AT section hike. It was very clear that she wasn’t eating enough for the trail. Then she got an ankle injury and couldn’t recover properly. She didn’t have enough energy towards the end and it really showed.
She has a habit of making lifestyle changes/decisions based off of what she thinks would get the most views and not about her personal health.
Hi papa swolio! What do you think about the Wild Fit program?
Greetings from Portugal 😘
From one extreme diet to another extreme diet.
People nowadays know no moderation.
I've been all three vegan , vegetarian and carnivore due to a health condition finding out what works for me and it's a fine balance. I think everyone as an individual should be treated as such and no one should get backlash for finding or having what food suites the needs of there body. Just eat what works for you swap things around elimination diet is pretty much the key in finding what works for you I would reccomend that to any one. Finding your triggers , inflammation as one or even what makes you feel good I really do think that key to making the biome in our body and over all wellbeing happy.
I love the sentence you said at 2:36. I took awhile to learn that concept. Customisation of nutrition is the only way you can truly optimise your own well being. If you think about it, it makes sense. We all have different genetics. We grew up around different cultures and environments. We have different budgets and different preferences. It is an insane notion that there is only one correct way to eat. Given all the factors mentioned, and others that i left out like allergies, metabolic diseases and physical limitations etc., it is increasingly obvious that a 'right way to eat' does not exist.
The real issue is that people are lazy and dont want to put in the work. They rather eat crap put in front of them, get cancer and then expect free healthcare.
My issue is she made loads and loads of money promoting veganism and “balance”. She didn’t just make a you tube Chanel....she created meal plans, reset challenges and most important a whole get away based around her “healthy, balanced life style”. I’m not vegan and follow no one on the internet to dictate my diet but I would be more than upset if I had invested my money into her and all of a sudden she completely switches what she has been telling me and is now getting fame from it. She flaunts her new fame saying “never give up” and “you do you” but that is why people were paying her a substantial amount of money to do. It has nothing to do with her diet it’s the following she created based off her life style. That’s all 🙃
subbed! loved your take on the whole... diet wars. I'm about 85-90% animal based and I feel the most optimal and i feel like that is where my balance is. This way, I'm optimal in all the essential nutrients and fats, and I got the small amount of veggies mostly for texture or for taste
I was born & raised in AK and the diet that the Native’s have up north is brutal. Their diets are a lot of processed foods from the “grocery store” and I’ve tried the muktuk (whale blubber) dipped in seal oil while in the village for basketball in high school. It’s nasty but so necessary to their diet up there. You eat what you have to eat to survive.
I got a jawsercise add before the video started. 😂 awesomeness
As someone who isn't a social media person and am not trying to get clicks....I went carnivore and I do feel the best I have probably ever. Not gonna push it on anyone ,you make your own choice. Buy for me it has worked wonders. Now I may transition into a meat based keto some day but dunno yet. Nothing I really miss,I'm perfectly happy with meats
i dont have any problems with anything i eat , so it would make no sense to try your elimination diet right?
i’m vegan, but I think you should do whatever works best for you 😊
Michael Heatwole wow a vegan I don't see that its necessary to troll
He is not trolling. I am a vegan. I also feel people should do whatever works for them. There are crazy vegans as there are crazy carnivores.
not pccorrect yup in agreement
Being a vegan is a huge missed steak! Been subscribed since you had 1000 subscribers. Keep up the good work brother.
A mostly carnivore diet has almost eliminated my Crohn's.
The big problem here is that people do a shitty vegan diet. When they end up with problems they blame veganism in general and not their specific diet. Unnatural vegan has a video where she analyzes 'what I ate today' videos from a few vegan CZcamsrs. Lo and behold they weren't getting enough protein or other nutrients. So of course nutrient deficiencies will lead people to ditch veganism. I used to be a junk food vegan. No surprises that lead to high cholesterol and prediabetes. Now my vegan diet is much healthier and I am feeling much better. I get around 100 grams of protein a day. I take a multivitamin to compensate for any deficiencies in my diet. I have plenty of fuel to lift 3 days a week making those vegan gains. The fact is that vegan diets can be done healthfully. But people want to blame veganism for their shitty diet. A shitty diet they started because a popular vegan CZcamsr told them to eat loads of fruit and not worry about protein. Lookin at you Freelee and Kristina.
We need to be careful to get diet advice from CZcams. I like Unnatural Vegan because she cites Registered Dietitians. If you want good info on vegan nutrition I recommend the Registered Dietitians Jack Norris ( veganhealth.org/ ) and Ginny Messina ( www.theveganrd.com/ ).
I appreciate how you understand that a vegan diet is healthy for most people, rather than spewing that we’re all going to die of protein deficiencies like some other “macho” you tubers. I’m looking at you Joe Rogan.
so Im trying elimination cut my carbs in half seeing good results its hard to do because carbs are yummy too but results are results and you cant argue with that. Everything else is going well and I have also dropped one whole meal a day
I used to eat carb free and it was the best I felt. Then I went vegan and didn't know what to eat so I ate carbs all the time and had fun consequences from that. Had the absolute worst reaction to soya products when I tried to get protein in. Back to the way I ate before and I'm less fucked up. I feel stronger. I have more energy. I won't go back but that's the only thing I ever did in terms of my diet. Apparently this girl has issues. I think Freelee does, too.
Totally agree!!! 🙌🙌🙌
also note the results after eating meat were overnight according to her, that should tell you something how important meat is to mankind
I loved your Spanish translation 💕
She does not shave her armpits and was a minimalist so hey. She is young and finding herself.
She had an eating disorder... but just because someone trys an "extreme" diet... whatever that means... i think the sad diet is an an extreme diet .... doesn't mean you have an eating disorder
I like eating vegetables but they don't like me. I have to eat more meat based diet. Otherwise I get a painful, bloated stomach, head aches, joint pain and I get acne break outs. Miss roast veggies alot. Anything wheat is a no go. I've got PCOS so I think that's the reason why. I don't actually miss bread as is was tasting like soap to me before I quit it completely. 🤷
Money makes the world go round. And vegans into carnivores.
As someone who is ketogenic now for two years, seeing what happens when you completly eliminate specific food groups, doing these extreme nutritional changes are extremely complex and should be monitored by a professional nutritionist and your doctor. It's really easy to make mistakes as most people that do these diets don't know squat about eating right and almost always wind up deficient. A balanced diet is always gonna be the best imo if you don't have the time to research these extreme diets.
Veganism isn’t necessarily extreme. If you’re raw vegan or fruitarian or 80-10-10; those are extreme forms of veganism. Otherwise, vegans can eat well balanced macros. Carnivore is extreme. My body isn’t so sensitive to things, so I went vegan for the animals. Yes, we’re animals too but no one is enslaving us and cooking us. A lot of vegans refuse to buy food items that exploit humans (chocolate sourced from slaves, etc).
Carnivore isnt really extreme. Its the diet i feel best on and Ive looked into the vegan health, environment and moral arguments and its all bull. Im at the point when vegans talk to me I just want to reply with "I dont care". Im being pestered by plant eaters constantly.
"why am I fat, why do I have high blood pressure why this why that?"
"i dont care" (its not like they will listen to my argument anyway so they might as well just run back to doctor google or whatever authority figure they worship and ask them for some supplements and medication). Meanwhile ill be here eating meat with 0 supplements and not getting sick. Not gonna lie still get sick of people though. They dont want help they want approval.
My thoughts are that I love your fucking beard! Oh, and I found keto/carnivore best for me through the elimination process you described. It took me about six months to settle in and nicely sustainable since it's been almost two years, lost 105 lbs, off all medications. I've just recently become an (aging) gym rat and loving it! Well done!
I think a good quantity of people adopt extreme diets just to feel "special". It gives them something to talk about.
Vegan here. Just wanted to point out she was not your average vegan... she basically ate fruit, salad, crackers, and juice. She was (still seems to be) always doing some extreme diet or “challenge” but I think she just tries to mask her eating disorder. I’m glad she and many others like her are no longer vegan, they give the lifestyle a bad rap.
What's the best pork fed meat to buy ? Thanks and yes she needs to work on a actual diet
Ms.Kitty Dragon none because pigs eat their own crap 💩
@@soraya.e5482 thanks , I honestly didnt know >_
Ughhh, so tired of people not completely getting why vegans are angry about this, or at least those of us who are long term vegans and are maybe more mature/older. I’ve been vegan about 15yrs and I’m a middle aged woman, so when I first hear about “Raw Alignment” and look into her I easily dismissed her as anyone that I wanted follow as right away I could see a lean towards some of the pseudoscience beliefs that some raw foodists follow. As someone who is experienced I can see easier than many of her inexperienced followers that her approach to the diet aspect of veganism is flawed. But really bothered me was when I found out she offered some sort of coaching, she has no training and is IMO obviously poor at understanding or researching because if she were good at it she would have known that a 1000-1500 calorie very low protein raw diet is not healthy. I’m no raw expert but there is 1-2 things that will present problems in a raw diet, the first is you can not or should not be very calorie restrictive on a raw diet, the second you need to be as diverse as possible in what you are eating as a raw foodists. Alyse did both these things, so not only was she not doing a proper vegan diet she wasn’t even doing raw very well. All this could have been easily adjusted with some minimal research, reading book written by a vegan dietician, watching a video from a vegan dietician or even just using Cronometer a couple of times (it is f-ing free!). So this is where the frustration comes in people use her as example of why veganism doesn’t work because she goes online and says veganism made her sick, uummm what about addressing your uneducated choices or the fact that you were basically teaching an eating disorder diet? Where is the sense of taking personal responsibility? Veganism did not make her ill, having an ED did, but nobody mainstream non vegan seems to want to address this and this is what pisses us off. Why did anyone think a high school drop out who admits she’s bad at research sell health coaching (alright this part makes me want to slap some sense into other vegans). If you are going to critic this situation please critic her over inflated ego and stupidity as they were the problem not veganism. It’s so clear that her and others like her are most interested in their appearance and vanity and are not genuinely into health nor the animals, this would include the human animal. Veganism is an ethical choice, not a vanity focused starvation diet plan. If you are truly an ethical vegan you care about animals and the well being of people, if she truly cared about the well being of humans she would honestly address her own errors and she would certainly address how her meal plans and coaching were wrong as she did not have the qualifications or skill, she would address how her following pseudoscience and the just unproven erroneous health claims made by many raw foodists are wrong (ie beans are toxic and cooked food is toxic crap), if she cared about people and was a person truly practicing self development she would address especially how soooo much of her not feeling well was from not consuming enough calories and she would urge her young impressionable audience to not make the same mistake. She should do as Unnatural Vegan does and be completely forthcoming about her previous errors in knowledge. All this is why vegans like myself are irritated by this, but mostly we are irritated by the fact that non vegans reviewing this situation refuse to discuss this side of it and just say it’s veganism instead of acknowledging that the person was just an idiot and they were unhealthy because they did not practice healthy diets, veganism can be done healthfully or unhealthful just like every other diet. Please stop assuming or presenting that someone like Alyse was actually practicing a healthy vegan diet or that she represents what most vegans do. Please talk about the real problem, her and her inability to make intelligent choices and EDs.
"Why would we not eat meat if it tastes good?" -a Twitter account
I need to get rid of dairy..... I'm lactose intolerant but I LOVE cheese
Was in in vegan videos with Nikado? I could be wrong
Damnit, I was gonna tell you about her in the live tonight, but I guess you already heard 🤷♂️ I’m late to the party, I guess ☹️️🎉
I am a Whole Food Plant Based Vegan...i e. no vegan junk food like soy burgers. I have been Vegan over a dozen years. I am in my mid 50s and in perfect health . Oreos and coconut ice cream are Vegan. Vegan doesnt equal healthy
Talk about going from 0 to 100 real quick lol
I’ve tried veganism. Couldn’t stick with it because I wanted a steak so bad.
I've got an idea!!! What if one were to COMBINE Veganism with the Carnivore Diet to make a NEW diet? What do you think? Am I onto something?
The switch was weird. It seemed paid for and I sensed that it was not genuine.
😊
She did it for a sponsorship
Carnivore is the best diet i ever done the only reason im not doing it now is cus of the price, it also just makes sense scientifically
More driving while gaining videos please and thank you!
The point of veganism isn't shoving vegetables down people's throats, the point is to stop needles dying and suffering of animals as far as practically possible
I try to reduce the animal products that I eat, mostly for environmental reasons. I don't really buy into any of the health-based arguments but I don't really see any reason to support factory farming more than is necessary. I see what she did as somewhat offensive/disrespectful because it reveals how little she cared about the vegan movement. She obviously didn't give a shit about any environmental or ethical concerns if she was happy to switch to a carnivore diet for the sake of stirring up controversy. I don't think everyone needs to be a full-on total vegan, but imagine if large numbers of people started going carnivore? Can you be healthy eating mostly animal products? YES. OBVIOUSLY. That's not the fucking point. What's she gonna do next? Do a video: I lived off only seal meat for 30 days, but don't worry, I paid a member of the First Nations to do the hunting for me.
She has said she’s definitely not going full on carnivore...
