ASOIAF Theories: House Stark's Connections To The White Walkers!? - A Song of Ice and Fire (Theory)

  • Welcome back for another A Song of Ice and Fire Theory videos. This is a follow-up to my video about Bran Stark's first chapter in the books. In that video, I referenced some of House Stark's connections to the White Walkers. Their relationship dates all the way back to the Age of Heroes, during an event that is known as, The Long Night. Almost everything surrounding House Stark has a direct connection to the White Walkers in some way. Today I want to go over some of the evidence by looking at various quotes from the ASOIAF books. Let me know if you think I am on the right track. Thanks for watching!

I actually have a different theory. What if the war between First Men and White Walkers ended with a marriage pact? What if the first Stark was the hybrid child between the Last Hero and the Winter Queen? What if the Night King's love story was a reference to the actual events that transpired, showing the reader that it IS possible to bear a child from interracial intercourse?

I like where you are going with this. The other thing that makes me feel there are more connections between the WW and House Stark is the Broken Tower.
The tower was destroyed so long ago, nobody knows what it looked like.........perhaps erased from history as it has something to do with the Starks and WWs.
Bran opened his 3rd eye, only after falling from the Broken Tower.
Also, look at the series’ sigil of the Nights King.......could that be the old Broken Tower top?
I think the Broken Tower is KEY to the Starks and WW story.

Love ❤️ this! I decided to give the books 📚 a second try once the series was over. For whatever reason, I had a hard time with the multiple POVs and would get irritated with the Sansa chapters. So, this year I decided to give it a go again because how can someone love a show so much and not read/love the books? Thankfully I find myself beginning A Dance of Dragons now not having experienced any of those previous issues and loving every single book. Your videos could not be coming at a better time as I will soon be done with ADoD and take my rightful place amongst my fellow brothers and sisters of the Night’s Watch as we endure this Long Night before the release of The Winds of Winter ❄️ These videos will be a godsend and you are the right Maester to guide us during our watch.

I am reading the books right now: I think you should have also mentioned the "rumor" about how Craster is a half-blood between a wildling and a man of the Nightswatch/Stark. If Craster does in-fact have Starks's blood it would be the main reason why he was the only man beyond the wall, sacrificing his sons for protection to the Walkers. This would further explain why he married his daughters and impregnates them so that, like the Targeryens, the bloodline is kept pure. Anyway, I really enjoy watching your videos

@fo exipni Well it is conflict zone. The people here are not fighting for power or anything like that. We relate to Starks because the Starks were held captive in their own homeland and the same situation is here. We fight more for recognition and our rights more than power.
Briefly as Starks lost half oftheir family members and we lost about 100,000 of them. We fight for what is ours like Starks do. In that way my people relate to Starks. And regionally like Winterfell is north of westeros Kashmir is north of the indian subcontinent.

Well isn’t a part of the cyprts caved in? The iron swords would only hold the night king. So the starks that Ned could see would be newer so therefore they would be human. In the caves in part there is less air so less oxidation so the sword can be preserved therefore still holding the nights king.

I kinda figured that the man killed by the woman with the sickle was that Brandon Stark, the 13th LC of the NW. Perhaps he was placed in th Crypts. The children were able to get to him and salvage his form or raise him. Maybe they drug his body from the Crypts, beyond the Wall and there performed something like what we see in that scene in the show of them creating WWs, but not to create him as an Other, just make him more like Stoneheart.

The gesture of the iron swords laid across the laps of the ancient Stark kings in the crypts of Winterfell clearly signifies that the ancient Stark kings are denying guest right to said vengeful spirits. Rob Stark does the same when he has audience with Tyrion Lannister at Winterfell. He receives Tyrion in the Great Hall of Winterfell with a longsword laid on his lap, denying him guest right. He also did not offer him salt or bread. I find it interesting that the swords were made of iron though.. That seems a bit arcane...

Maybe the kings in the crypts are kings that died during the long night which is why they put iron and swords on their laps to keep them from rising again when the night king comes back they buried their dead instead of burning them so the only way to make sure they never rise again was to put iron swords on their laps

@@TalkingThrones - it's the only logical answer.... I wonder if she came from Graywater Watch when she arrived at Winterfell.

If they hated iron so much then how come regular swords couldn’t kill them??? Only Dragon Glass & Velaryon Steel could? But iron could keep them locked up…so then why wasn’t the wall built of iron?

Perhaps what "they hated iron" simply means their weapons destroy iron swords. Not that they are afraid of iron made weapons.

So exactly how many Night Kings were there? One who was defeated in the first Long Night by Azor Ahai. Second one 13th Lord Commander of Nights Watch and the Third who planned to invade in current world of Ice and Fire. So many questions!!!

There is no "Night King" in the books, only in the show. So far in the books, there has just been _one_ Night's King, the 13th LC of the Nights Watch. They probably_do_ have some sort of leader in the books, though

So could the current Night King be one of the sons of Brandon Stark the 13th lord commandor (who was given to the white walkers) and he’s going to Winterfell to find his father to do some sh*t together?
