    One thing that stood out. The Night King was not the first White Walker. What if the Children of the Forest didn't create the White Walkers, however created the NK to control the walkers against the first men. Food for thought

    • @UltimatePowa
      @UltimatePowa Před 5 lety +11

      From what I understand, Bran mentioned this has happened several times before.
      Everytime, the Night King wipes out the history of man, causing them to restart again.
      That is basically his goal and what he was created for, erase the memory of man.
      I think what is being hinted at, is that the story of Ice and Fire is far older than we think.
      By the time comes to encounter them again, everybody has forgotten entirely due to much of history being erased.
      From what the show is saying, I gather that the Children of the Forest created the wight walkers, used them at the time, then had them go back up north, where they wouldn't hurt anyone.
      After sometime, they couldn't control them anymore, thus the first invasion of the wight walkers began.
      It's possible that the Night King died, and has died several times but comes back in a similar way that the Three Eyed Raven does.
      P.S.
      Ever wondered what happened with the Wight Walker baby?
      No way that thing grew up in 5 years.
      I bet that'll be the future Night King.

    The children didn't "raise" a tidal wave to break the arm of dorm and make it the broken arm, it was assumed to be the 'greenseers' (spelling?), but even then this is looked at as a natural event that the greenseers were just given credit for.
    Source: The World of Ice & Fire book, 2014.

    • @RNSEntertainmentChannel
      @RNSEntertainmentChannel  Před 8 lety +2

      +ShouldBeStudying Incorrect. The greenseers WERE Children, and they used their magic to raise the hammer of the waters (which is a tidal wave). World of Ice & Fire does not contradict this, and in fact is written from a specific character's POV as he gives HIS take on their history. The character is written as being wrong several times in his own conjecture.

    • @BassManiac07
      @BassManiac07 Před 8 lety

      Hmm interesting. I know greenseers ARE children, rather "wisemen of the children" but are they not different all together? The greenseers could see "visions", which we seems to justify as time traveling. The children couldn't do this. Children also could not control the beasts around them, like an individual with the title of "greenseer" could. I guess, I'm looking at it from a perspective of white walkers/others vs night's king/queen. Yeah they are essentially cut from the same cloth - but they are different in abilities.
      If the greenseers really had that much power to raise a tidal wave, why not use it ON the men themselves? Yeah okay, they took out the piece of land that the first men used to migrate to the land but since the greenseers can see visions of the past and future could they not see an instance where man figures out how to travel across water?
      I guess I must've missed it but which book says for certain that the greenseers conjured this up and it wasn't just a natural act?

    • @RNSEntertainmentChannel
      @RNSEntertainmentChannel  Před 8 lety +1

      +ShouldBeStudying No, the greenseers were just the specific Children who had greensight abilities, just like Bran and others are just humans with greensight. They can't "time travel" at all, they can only see events in the past/future and only slightly have their presence be felt, with things like rustling in weirwood leaves or a "presence" felt by the observed. Followers of the Old Gods often misinterpret this as their gods watching over them, when in reality it is just a greenseer.
      Also, all of the Children had magic to some extent, and most COULD warg into and control animals. This is not a greenseer ability, and is very common among the Children.
      Raising the tidal wave took all of their combined power to accomplish, and was extremely difficult for them, which is why they focused it on what they viewed as tactical points: breaking the Arm of Dorne, and then attempting to do the same at the Neck. They succeeded in their first attempt but only managed to slightly flood the Neck. They essentially had to combine all of their most powerful magic to accomplish this even once, and failed in their second attempt. The First Men were far too numerous and entrenched in much of Westeros for them to just "wipe out" with a wave. It's not that easy.

Also, this is for television, so its a more simplified version of the book. You can't expect them to make such an indepth perspective on the history of the book. It just cant be done. • @RNSEntertainmentChannel

      That's not what this video states. There's nothing in the books to lead anyone to think that the Children created the White Walkers, or that the "Night King" from the show is anything but a stereotypical "big bad" that the show invented of their own accord. The Night's King in the books has an entirely different story and timeline, and the Children had nothing to do with him becoming what he was. The show is stupid, and just made some shit up with no regard for the books or Martin's story.

    Could it be possible, that Nissa Nissa is the Night's Queen, becoming such when who ever the warrior was who is referred to by Azor Ahai put the swqord that would be known as Lightbringer through her. This would leave her not dead but soulless as it were. So could it be possible that indeed a Stark such as Brandon the Breaker was the original warrior known as Azor Ahai. It appears that he knew how he was supposed to forge the sword being that it is said that he knew with a heavy heart the sacrifice he had to make to forge the sword into a flaming sword or sword with a soul that could actually defeat what was soulless, namely the Others.... Once the Others were defeated, a new enemy is now born The White walkers, coming into existence by the Night's Queen aka Nissa Nissa, and the Night's King is actually the very one who defeated the Other's, Brandon Stark or Brandon the Breaker. Feeling remorse and sorrow thinking he killed his wife, but later to find she actually was still somewhat alive, abandoned everything to be with her still, but inadvertently caused another menace to rise.... Thus setting off a chain of events that now leads to the current state of affairs...

      george is not able to help cause george is not george. perhaps someone is using his face. it could be arya trying to rewrite the legacy of the starks. perhaps we are entering the long night once again and the story will never finish. whatever the case its obvious that season 7 is not the same as the previous seasons. and we all know season 8 will be so cliche. its hard to match what they have already entertained us with. lets just hope that the war between ice and fire or living and the dead will be of epic proportions. either way im excited to see what will happen during this long night. someone important will need to be sacrificed cause like george said, death must be paid for life. perhaps not just jon but jon and dany together will be the new rulers of the wights, we will see cause the winter has come again. sansa, arya and bran already knows cause their family have been preparing for this moment all their lives, perhaps they will rule the living and make a pact with jon and dany. soo excited, cant wait a whole year, that is truly another long winter!

  • @nicann8038

    Ok, first of all, I can't think of one instance where a movie or TV show based on a book was actually better than the book. There is simply no way to be as thorough on film as in writing because there is no way to explain what people's thoughts in books are, which is huge for character development. Secondly, the Series of books is over 4500 pages and counting. There is no way that a series could run that long with the success GOT has had because there simply not enough money to pay the actors, let alone for all the CHI effects that are needed at this point in the story, where we see magical creatures and huge battles more frequently. Lastly, I definitely recommend reading the books but, if you haven't yet, I would finish watching the TV show first. To not do so will, in fact, lead to much confusion. As a stand alone series, for people who haven't read the books, it is a pretty awesome TV experience. Ok, I've run out of room. Lol. Peace, all!

    • @RNSEntertainmentChannel
      @RNSEntertainmentChannel  Před 8 lety +3

      So they don't have time to show relevant events/characters from the books, but they do have time to show Arya repetitively doing the same goofy kung-fu stick training and seeing the same terrible play over and over for an entire season? Most of this season was pointless drawing out of simple and obvious plots. Literally no one thinks that the show should be the same as the books. The problem is that as of this season, and last season as well to a degree, the show is making terrible decisions with what they're choosing to do and where they're choosing to take it. Couple that with the shortened last two seasons and delaying tactics, it's obvious they have nothing left without Martin's work to supplement them. The problem is not money, they have plenty, and budget doesn't determine creative decisions to that degree. The problem is not time, they're shortening the seasons and wasting time on filler while ignoring actual source material they could be drawing inspiration from instead.
      The tv series was a great adaptation through the first four seasons, and in Season 4 they made plenty of great changes from the books. The past two seasons have steadily dropped off in quality, though, and the fanfiction-level writing this season sealed the deal of it being beyond repair.

    It’s my understanding that the First Men and Children of The Forest had a peace but later, when the Andals came over with the Light of The Seven, then chopping down Weirwood trees and re-starting the fight. Hence why they created the White Walkers, mainly against the Andals.
    This next bit is my opinion.
    The Night/s King used to live in The Broken Tower at Winterfell and was a Stark bastard but he went to become the 13th Lord Commander where he met a Targaryen (Nights Queen but referred to as a White Walker by most) The Lord of Winterfell attempted to kill and erase all record of him and what he is. Jon Snow is a Warg and is the only one who is capable of matching his powers if turned into a WW.......here’s your bitter sweet ending. Dany has to kill Jon to make him a WW and become Azor Ahai, but Jon goes and defeats the NK but takes his place in the lands of always winter, creating Peace.....but will return to save house Stark if needed (hence why there must always be a Stark in Winterfell - otherwise his sacrifice will have been for nothing).
    Just my opinion...please dig holes in the theory.
