Having a terrain heavy board as a gunline army makes your a great bloke.
Honestly there are so many battle report channels out there but I find them nearly all unwatchable. Winters/ deployment zone and striking scorpion are the only ones I can sit through and enjoy.

Here is a secret, Admech have a really great stratagem to deal with those decimators to give vehicles a 5+ ignore mortal wounds.

Winters was the first ever battle report channel I came across and, having sampled many since, it's still the best. Winters basically taught me how to play this wonderful game ✌️😁 and with both good humour and a great sense of community. Standout human.

From watching all their Batreps, it seems that Winters and Liam generally always play without heroic intervention.

The overwatch change really shafted Winters at the end there - need to make sure I keep a CP for my Kastelans for the same reason...
I am always constantly in awe at that entire wall of bookshelves filled with warhammer models. I could just spend an entire day in there picking out armies and playing with friends. I would love to see this room in person.

Last time I played a Games Workshop game was 1990, Fantasy Battle 3, and the original 40k. I've absolutely loved watching your channel and videos through lock down, and so tempted to take it up again. Alas, I don't think I have a steady enough hand (or the eyesight) to paint up a full army, but so enjoy both your narrative and matchplay battle reports.
Depending on the army, some models aren't that hard to paint!

Evil Winters with the switcheroo! World Eaters wanted to crush some Marines. :p Very interesting lists, and those Priests were brutal!
Small rules point: Plasma now overcooks on an unmodified 1, so you can no longer prevent it. I love this change. No more freely overcharging! :) Unless Ad Mech are different of course. Also, if you declare multiple units as the target of a Charge, you actually have to end up within Engagement Range of all your targets.

Because of reasons.. only the plasma pistol from the indomitus set is unmodified ones.
GW released a FAQ with the set to explain the rules from the set cant be used on different models (also for the chainswords en stormshields).

Hi winters. First off I love your battlereps and it makes me genuinely happy when I see a new one out, so thank you! Secondly have you considered a mecanicum arceocopter or those flying skittari (cant remember name) it would give your army some much needed speed and punch? Also keep up the good work!
Regarding charges: the rules do say that if the charge roll is successful, you make a charge move "such that the above conditions are met" otherwise the charge fails, so IMO charging units _do_ have to end the charge move in coherency and in engagement range of every target declared for the charge.

This is an aside based off of an aside, but Liam's response to root beer reminds me how much of an acquired taste it is. Guess I just grew up used to it.

liam, should have used "stoke the nails" to get DttFE on a 5+. Also turn 1 the disco lord has DttFE as well as a natural +1 to his hit rolls so it goes off on a 5+, you would have had 4 extra attacks against the first chicken walker

Not to sound unappreciative, but I’ve always found the camwork a bit janky with Winters. I like the first person view of things, but the close-ups are pretty blurry.

Yeah Winters shoots with a phone I think. Makes sense with the logistics and length of a battle report but sometimes you get weird stuff. The video issues look more like render errors to me than camera issues so idk

...and bonus for "hateful assault" is "for the end of that turn", so if berserkers have charged, then both time they fight they get additional attacks. So 6 attacks with chainaxes and two additional attacks with chainswords is a total of 8 attacks per model, not seven. As eight is number of Khorn.
Sorry if this was covered, but when you perform a multi charge the unit has to make it into engagement range of all the units that were charged. The rules make it sound like you only have to roll high enough, but they add this line at the end "If this is possible, then the charge is successful and the models in the unit make a charge move so as to fulfil the above conditions."
Just discovered this batrep, it was proper fun. Also: "George Michael doesn't have faith in the Omnissiah" made me burst into laughs lol

Yes. An unmodified one when overcharging does kill the shooter.

47:40 - God, it's 9-th edition! Unmodified hit roll of 1 with overcooked plasma kills the bearer. Unmodified. That stupid shit with "I'm -1 to hit, you die on 1 and 2" is over. Please, do not prolong that.

That was actually the best move. Spending CP on that would have been a trap. Also winters pretty much made all the wrong moves from list build to deployment to tactics during the match lol
Not sure what the right target would have been for winters? Maybe the Lord Discordant since it doesn't get "look out sir" as it has 12W

I would like to know a thing : from most of Winters' Admech battle reports fielding Onager Dunecrawlers I had seen, they were not doing much each time, heavy stubbers usually only do plinking noises on the opponent armor or tag only one or two very unlucky small guys and neutron lasers only does a few shot and miss, fail to wound or do only minimal damage (a big weapon with so many way to disappoint, especially with winters luck with dices)...
Are Onager Dunecrawlers usually an ineffective unit (that WInters like way too much) or is it just bad rolls again and again ?
