I've never seen an infantry guard army in action, and it was glorious.

This is one of my favorite battle reports ever. Two fluffy lists, a great narrative campaign, a guest who is *absolutely* in character, a game that was tightly-matched and could end either way ... I can only hope that we see more games from you two in the future.

When Winters failed that charge in turn 1 you knew it was going to be an uphill battle... I actually think Winters first turn was a bit of a flub...

Interested to see how a infantry focused Guard list does. The Lasgun can be one of the best weapons in the game, as long as you bring a million of them!

Hiding in the ruins, they were fully aware that the enemy outnumbers them and doesn't care for his life. The nids started to be afraid.

I’ve been subscribed to Mordian Glory for four years now and this is the first time i’m seeing his face.
I appreciate the total dedication to fluffy and although these aren’t my army’s of choice stories pull be in every time. Also that fellow showing his 16 year old character was awesome.

I love how the title suggests Winters himself will be fighting a bunch of tiny soldiers. Now THAT would be some content!
One of the best reports I've ever watched and won't soon forget, the narrative army and both of the positive personalities really just brings it all together fantastically.
During the intro, i saw the 32 Genestealers and 12 Zoanthropes and thought ''Blimey, Winters is going for it, but he'll
probably need to against 9 or 10 tanks''. Then i saw Mordians list and thought ''he's brought Ogryns and mortar teams instead of tanks?''
It's now the second turn and i'm feeling sorry for Winters.
That me failed charge that Winters tried to get in on multiple units and failed. I actually feel like that move skewed the game enough right there, Winters May Yvette very well won if he did the short, easy charge.
@@danielbernard6044 Yes, i was very worried about the genestealers getting into Mordian's lines, but they didn't really get a chance to shine. The beauty of Mordian's list is that he can lose 30 Guardsmen in one round and still have 75% of his army left. Also, I was impressed by the First Rank Fire, Second Rank Fire.
@@alexvaraderey the orders including the extra advances seemed to win the game, they were clutch!
The other big moment was the two carnifex only managing to charge a single guardsman between them. If they'd got into the bullgryns and rolled well it would have swung the game.

This is what I'm here for, fluffy lists, on a nice table and right at the beginning it looks like what I imagine a battle between Tyranids and Guard.

It was superb game, with my favorite 40K content creators and lots of dramatic back and forth.I had totally forgot the Mordian Glory wouldn't be able to hide behind the camera and we would finally get to see his face. I am loving these open challenge games and will happy when you finally bring that cowardly villain Valrak to heel and settle things with him in honorable combat.

Quick question though - How did he transport this many inf. models?? How long did it take to set them up during deployment?
This is the first time I've seen so many infanterymen. I know that Guard can take a lot, but usually people shy away due to the actual model count and the time and money that takes. So nice going there Mordian Glory!
Plop a magnet under each mini and transport will be a breeze using a few plastic boxes with magnetic sheets in them. Might need quite a few plastic boxes though and a Transit to haul them around.
It's not that many models, my Orcs and Goblins Warhammer Fantasy Army has about 2x the amount of models... Just have a good army case or 2...

That was one of the best battles I've ever watched. What an amazing guard list, I love how its built, the lore, the look, the pure wave after wave... And then the starship trooper feel of the bugs swarming across the battlefield. Totally amazing!
Just one thing (there's always one), at one point you CP rerolled a smite, then rerolled a 1, of course, you can't reroll a reroll. But such a minor thing and had only a small impact on an amazing game.
I do not know how I discovered this 3 years later, but boy I am glad I did.

Incredible Battle report!!! The terrain, the armies, the players, the narration, all top notch! I'm a big fan of both channels, and this might be the greatest collaboration in the history of the world, ever. Seriously though I haven't watched an entire battle report in long time and I was riveted through every moment of this one. Excellent game and a very close battle. I have a regular opponent who plays a similar list against my guard army, and turns one and two always go just like this game.

That was a great game; really nicely balanced and great to see Footguard tromping forward for the greater glory of the Emperor.
I imagine little Tyranid Critters worming their way along the blood-soaked gutters of that city, gathering more biomass ready for the counterattack. The 'nids will rise again!

Mordian Glory! What an awesome Game! Winters had his usual op dice rolling doing all the cheake moves we love him for and your guardsman still pulled it of the hard way no matter the costs. The bugs died in a barrage of lase fire and got cut down by the bayonets. And all that was left to hear was: Fore the Emperor!
Glory to Mordia and the Emperor! You guys both rock was looking forward to this coming out.
Game looks like a lot of fun. Wish I started with an army other than Space Marines, because nobody in my area wants to play against them... Release better rules for all the other factions, GW!

AWESOME guard army! I kind of hate when a guard army is 10 uber-elite guys, a command character for every 2 soldiers giving so many orders that their men run across the table faster than jetbikes, and tons of canonically-rare vehicles, when the lore and fluff is basically the opposite of that.

If anyone is new and wants to get into the Imperial Guard or is a veteran looking for some new tricks I highly recommend Mordian Glory. I wouldn’t have know where to start without his channel. I am a total newb and Mordian Glory help me put together a good little 750pt list and know how to use it well. There really aren’t many channels dedicated to the guard like his and it’s just a gem. And the comments section is full of good lads willing to help out a total newb.
PS. Winter I love love love Lieutenant Steve! whole heartedly second the name.
